Lin Huan'er takes Gao Haiming to a flower shop to experience planting flowers together as a couple. Looking at the blossoms, she reflects on a sunflower she once planted for him. At the time, she didn't realize that its symbolism was "silent love," and she feels she wasted her emotions. She remarks that if she had known he would lose his memory, she would have planted forget-me-nots instead.
While the shop owner doesn't recognize them, Haiming experiences a sense of déjà vu as he watches the familiar scene, though he still can't confirm his memories. Later that evening, Lin Huan'er sits alone at an outdoor food stall, venting her frustrations at her pager. She blames the "lousy system" for its inhumane punishment, which caused Haiming to forget their relationship and forces her to pursue him all over again.
As she laments her fate, Haiming suddenly appears and snatches the glass from her hand. Still bitter, Lin Huan'er tells him to mind his own business, claiming he is just a stranger to her now. Despite her coldness, Haiming refuses to leave and sits down to drink with her. Once she sobered up slightly, she takes him to his model shop. Haiming is stunned when she effortlessly opens a secret room he believed he had never shown to anyone.
Inside, she searches for a specific "Wild Weasel" fighter jet model with a unique multicolored candy-like paint scheme. Haiming admits he kept it because it felt special, though he couldn't remember why. When she asks for the model, he agrees to give it to her, increasingly curious about her connection to his private life. Back at the office, Haiming questions his assistant, Luo Zhou, about when Lin Huan'er joined the company.
Luo Zhou recalls hiring her just before the New Year due to a staff shortage, but Haiming’s own fragmented memories suggest he poached her from Yunsheng at a high price. With Haiming’s birthday approaching, Luo Zhou suggests a grand celebration with thirty tables at the Nebula Hotel. Haiming, who usually avoids such corporate fanfare, surprisingly agrees. Overhearing their conversation, Lin Huan'er offers to handle the arrangements, confident she can make the event a success by catering to his true preferences.
On the day of the birthday party, Lin Huan'er arranges the celebration at the office. However, the mood shifts when Xie Wanjun arrives to present Haiming with a gift and discuss a new partnership between Fuchuang and Letao. Seeing Haiming respond with such warmth to Xie Wanjun makes Lin Huan'er feel dejected. She leaves a fighter jet model and a birthday card on his desk and quietly slips away to the beach.
When Haiming returns to his office and finds her gift, the card triggers a wave of emotion. He insists that Luo Zhou drive him to find her. While on the phone with him at the beach, Lin Huan'er accidentally spills beer on her phone and drops it. At that moment, a bystander screams that a young woman has fallen into the sea. Fearing Lin Huan'er is the one drowning, Haiming dives into the water without hesitation.
Panic ensues as Luo Zhou screams that Haiming cannot swim. Realizing the danger, Lin Huan'er jumps into the water herself and rescues him. The shock of the experience finally shatters the mental block, and Haiming’s memories of her come rushing back. The couple spends the night at Haiming’s villa, finally reunited. In the morning, Lin Huan'er receives a system notification on her pager stating that the lead's fondness has reached 100%.
To return to 2025, she only needs to receive a proposal. However, as she watches Haiming prepare a breakfast of soft-boiled eggs, she feels a deep reluctance to leave. Haiming senses that their lives have been manipulated by an outside force that tried to erase their story, but he tells her that they will be the ones to write its future together. Their relationship becomes the talk of the office as they no longer hide their affection.
Meanwhile, Letao Group makes a major move by publishing its patents to help improve the quality of domestic brands. This visionary decision earns Haiming the sincere respect of his father, Gao Mingshan, who finally acknowledges his son's capabilities and feels confident leaving the company's future in his hands. As the New Year arrives, Haiming tells Lin Huan'er he has work to do, as his parents are spending the holiday in Hainan.
On New Year’s Eve, Lin Huan'er helps her sister, Lin Le'er, with decorations while their father, Lin Guozheng, prepares a traditional meal. Lin Huan'er is distracted, waiting for a message that doesn't come. Suddenly, there is a knock at the door. She opens it to find Gao Haiming standing there. Lin Huan'er happily introduces him to her surprised family as her boyfriend, beginning the new year together.
