Lin Huan'er makes another attempt to enter Letao Tower, but despite having an appointment, security blocks her. Undeterred, she feigns being a foreigner, using a mix of languages to baffle the guard and slip inside. Gao Haiming catches her in the act and warns her to stop the antics, suggesting she take her business to other companies. However, Lin Huan'er insists she is there on behalf of the Yunsheng PR firm to discuss a collaboration.

Though Haiming dismisses her, she remains determined. Inside the boardroom, senior directors, including the recently returned Mr. Li, are pressuring Haiming. While Haiming remains non-committal about changing the company's agency model, the elders urge him to protect his father’s legacy by focusing on conservative expansion into second and third-tier cities rather than his risky vision for new product lines and independent branding.

In the midst of this tension, Lin Huan'er suddenly appears outside the window, suspended by a safety rope like a window washer. Stunned, Haiming pulls her into the room. She ignores the chaos and presents her PR proposal, urging him to judge the work on its merits rather than their "personal relationship." When he scoffs at the idea of them having a relationship, she playfully lists their shared meals, car rides, physical contact, and financial dealings.

Haiming eventually agrees to review the proposal but orders her to pay a fine at the security department for her high-altitude stunt. As she leaves, Lin Huan'er’s pager notifies her that "Quest One"—establishing a professional link with the male lead—is complete. However, "Quest Two" requires her to win his affection, which currently stands at a dismal negative five percent.

Later, while dining with her friend Zhu Mengmeng, she receives a message from her long-distance boyfriend, Ou Xiaojue, who is studying in the UK and asking for tuition money. Lin Huan'er, knowing he is an unfaithful "scumbag" in the original story, treats him with icy indifference. When he calls, she mocks his excuses about being too busy with his thesis to work, demanding he write IOUs for everything she has sent him plus four percent interest.

After she bluntly breaks up with him, the system issues a warning about deviating from her character's trajectory. Facing a penalty, she is forced to "rewind" the scene. She calls him back with feigned sweetness, pretending she has a stomachache from skipping meals to save up for his tuition. Easily manipulated, Ou Xiaojue promises never to let her down. Meanwhile, Letao successfully resolves a crisis involving insect eggs found in their "Beikeke" diapers by adopting Lin Huan'er's PR strategy.

By holding a press conference and using experts to debunk the rumors, they turn the scandal into a promotional win. Capitalizing on the positive momentum, Chairman Gao Mingshan publicly announces Haiming’s engagement to Xie Wanjun, the heiress of Fuchuang Group, to secure a strategic alliance. While Haiming is uninterested in the marriage, he realizes he can use Lin Huan'er’s involvement to navigate his father’s pressure. The next day, Haiming visits Yunsheng to finalize the PR contract.

He awards the entire Letao account to the firm but specifically demands that Lin Huan'er be his primary point of contact. Suspicious of his motives, Huan'er boldly demands an extra twenty percent service fee. To her boss Mr. Fang's shock, Haiming agrees immediately, citing the fee as a gesture of sincerity for previously using her ideas without permission. As they agree to a professional fresh start, the system notifies Huan'er that Haiming’s favorability toward her has returned to zero.

Mr. Fang is ecstatic and urges Huan'er to deliver the finalized contract to Letao immediately. However, Xie Wanjun arrives at the office first, flaunting her status as the Fuchuang heiress. She offers Yunsheng a lucrative ten-year contract on the condition that Lin Huan'er is fired. Huan'er cleverly uses reverse psychology, suggesting that being fired would only give her more free time to work directly at Letao and be near Haiming every day.

Panic-stricken by the thought, Xie Wanjun changes her mind. She decides to use the contract as a way to torment her rival, insisting that Huan'er must be the one to manage the Fuchuang account so she can personally "squeeze" her dry. Mr. Fang, thrilled by the double commissions, promises Huan'er a massive bonus and tells her to rest before delivering the Letao papers the next morning.

When Huan'er arrives at Letao the following day, she waits in Haiming's office while he finishes a meeting. The system rewards her progress with a "speed-up" gift package, which turns out to be a bottle of 502 glue that accidentally spills across her chest. As she tries to clean it up, Haiming walks in, and they collide, causing the glue to bond their clothes together.

To separate them, Haiming is forced to unbutton his shirt, revealing his physique, before carrying her out to the front desk to find scissors. Amidst the whispers of the office staff, Huan'er carefully cuts the bonded fabric, accidentally leaving a heart-shaped hole in Haiming's shirt. While Haiming’s assistant mocks her for her "new tricks," a flustered Huan'er prepares to leave, only to run into Chairman Gao Mingshan at the building entrance.
