Back on Mount Kunlun, the disciples were in a panic over Tao Tie's disappearance. Ling Chu, with his impulsive nature, quickly took out the Kunlun Mirror to reset the magical barrier, hoping to re-contain Tao Tie. As the barrier was opened, Tao Tie's scheme succeeded, and he seized the opportunity to severely injure Ling Chu. Fortunately, the White Emperor returned in time, saving Ling Chu's life.
The White Emperor chastised Ling Chu for his recklessness in unlocking the barrier, emphasizing that Tao Tie was not to be underestimated.
