> The Destiny of White Snake Recap

Upon receiving the Green Emperor's command, Zi Xuan prepared to leave Mount Jiuxi with the Demon Prison. Before his departure, he specifically instructed his maid, Crane, to diligently look after Xiao Bai, who had only recently transformed into human form and could be in danger if she wandered off. Crane agreed, but secretly harbored resentment and did not genuinely search for Xiao Bai. Meanwhile, Xiao Bai was in the Heavenly Peach Garden.

She earnestly desired one Heavenly Peach, hoping it would help Zi Xuan achieve ascension to high deity and overcome his calamity. Although she was originally a greedy little snake, Zi Xuan's teachings had helped Xiao Bai to restrain her desires. As she mused about picking just one peach to help Zi Xuan, a group of Plough Guards, the Heavenly Realm's security patrol, discovered her.

They surrounded Xiao Bai and took her back to the Heavenly Realm for punishment for trespassing and attempting to steal a peach. During this time, Ling Chu and Zi Xuan were battling the Black Water Dragon in the Eastern Sea. A messenger from Kunlun suddenly arrived but was destroyed by the beast before its message could be fully delivered.

Zi Xuan, recognizing the gravity of a message from Kunlun at such a crucial moment, worried that something serious had happened there, possibly involving Tao Tie's rebellion. He urged Ling Chu to return to Mount Kunlun immediately to investigate, entrusting him with the Demon Prison for protection, though he cautioned against its hasty use. Ling Chu initially resisted, believing it was his responsibility, but Zi Xuan insisted.

Back on Mount Kunlun, the disciples were in a panic over Tao Tie's disappearance. Ling Chu, with his impulsive nature, quickly took out the Kunlun Mirror to reset the magical barrier, hoping to re-contain Tao Tie. As the barrier was opened, Tao Tie's scheme succeeded, and he seized the opportunity to severely injure Ling Chu. Fortunately, the White Emperor returned in time, saving Ling Chu's life.

The White Emperor chastised Ling Chu for his recklessness in unlocking the barrier, emphasizing that Tao Tie was not to be underestimated. As Ling Chu was afflicted by internal heat from his injuries, the White Emperor ordered him to go to Mount Jiuxi for recuperation. The White Emperor had already dispatched other disciples to search for Tao Tie, assuring Ling Chu that he understood Tao Tie's behavior and would manage the situation.

Meanwhile, in the Eastern Sea, Zi Xuan achieved a hard-won victory. After three days and three nights of intense battle, he subdued the exhausted Black Water Dragon and sealed it within the Demon Prison. Zi Xuan, known for his composed nature, did not hastily decide its fate.

He planned to use a special formation with a burned elixir pill to make the Black Water Dragon fall back into a deep sleep for 49 days, as instructed by the Green Emperor, before returning it to the Eastern Sea to be suppressed deep within the abyss. This, he believed, would best pacify the situation, as they had no right to determine the life or death of an ancient beast.

He entrusted Crane with guarding the Elixir Chamber where the dragon would be held. When Zi Xuan returned to Mount Jiuxi, Xiao Bai was still missing. Crane, secretly resentful, tried to brush off her disappearance, claiming Xiao Bai was playful and likely avoiding her studies. However, Zi Xuan was deeply concerned about Xiao Bai's whereabouts and used his spiritual powers to locate her.

Through his investigation, Zi Xuan discovered that Xiao Bai was imprisoned in the forbidden Jade Pool Sacred Land, suffering punishment inflicted by the Eagle Tormentors. Her skin was torn, and her body covered in blood, causing her immense pain. He saw her desperately clutching something—the vibrant Heavenly Peach.

Crane later informed Zi Xuan that Xiao Bai had broken into the Heavenly Peach Garden and stolen a peach, and that the Queen Mother was merciful not to involve Mount Jiuxi, warning Zi Xuan against interfering further as it could jeopardize his cultivation. However, Zi Xuan believed Xiao Bai was not just a demon but a human in his eyes. Disregarding heavenly laws, Zi Xuan resolutely confronted the Plough Guards and rescued Xiao Bai from her torment.

He comforted Xiao Bai, who, despite her injuries, had carefully protected the peach, hoping it would help him achieve deity status. Zi Xuan, moved by her intentions, shared the peach with her, though he tried to explain the true path to higher deity cultivation. This incident caused a stir in the Heavenly Realm, with rumors spreading that the Queen Mother was using the peach theft to assert her authority.

Zi Xuan, taking full responsibility, personally visited the Jade Pool to seek an audience with the Queen Mother. He humbly yet firmly stated his purpose, confessing his recklessness and offering to accept any punishment. He strategically mentioned Xiao Bai's connection to the Sacred Lady of Mount Li, implying that continued punishment could affect the harmony between the Queen Mother and the Sacred Lady.

The Queen Mother, realizing Zi Xuan had inadvertently saved her face and eased her pressure, accepted his confession. She clarified that her initial intent was to teach the little snake the laws of the Heavenly Realm, not to truly harm her. In the end, the Queen Mother returned the Heavenly Peach to Zi Xuan and dropped the matter, no longer pursuing it. Witnessing Ling Chu's severe injuries, Zi Xuan decided to personally capture Tao Tie.

Although Ling Chu repeatedly warned him against interfering, citing the matter as Kunlun's responsibility and cautioning Zi Xuan against using his powers while Ling Chu was still recovering from his inner heat, Zi Xuan's brotherly affection compelled him to go. He assured Ling Chu he would return safely. As the Green Emperor's most accomplished disciple, Zi Xuan possessed boundless power, but he found himself in a fierce, evenly matched battle with Tao Tie.

Tao Tie had gradually succumbed to demonic ways, using children's blood as sustenance for his cultivation. Zi Xuan understood that if Tao Tie was allowed to fully descend into the demonic path and become a fiend, it would be too late to stop him. During their intense fight, Tao Tie's sinister magic proved powerful. After inflicting an injury on Zi Xuan, Tao Tie seized the opportunity and escaped while Zi Xuan was unprepared.

After Xiao Bai's rescue and Zi Xuan had returned to Mount Jiuxi from his audience with the Queen Mother, Crane, still fueled by jealousy, tried to manipulate Xiao Bai. She told Xiao Bai that Zi Xuan was angry with her for causing trouble and breaking heavenly laws. Crane then suggested that if Xiao Bai truly felt remorse, she should pretend to leave Mount Jiuxi.

This, Crane insinuated, would make Zi Xuan anxious and worried, proving his care for her and allowing her to apologize effectively. Xiao Bai, naive and worried about Zi Xuan's safety due to his subsequent prolonged absence in pursuit of Tao Tie, believed Crane's advice and decided to leave Mount Jiuxi to search for him, fearing he might be in danger.

When Zi Xuan eventually returned to Mount Jiuxi from his battle with Tao Tie, he found a note from Xiao Bai on his table, his brow furrowed in deep thought. He realized she had left Mount Jiuxi.
