Since Fang Mingyu no longer liked Jiang Yi, Huang Yingzi could boldly pursue her own love. Following the most popular makeup trends, Huang Yingzi meticulously applied heavy makeup and went to the cinema to wait for Jiang Yi, full of anticipation. However, Jiang Yi was startled by Huang Yingzi's heavy makeup.

What was originally planned as a romantic movie date for two turned into Jiang Yi bringing Zhuang Yuan along, a massive third wheel stuck between Huang Yingzi and Jiang Yi. While watching the movie, Huang Yingzi, lacking social tact, did not switch seats with Zhuang Yuan. Not long after, Jiang Yi received a phone call and left with Zhuang Yuan.

After the movie, Huang Yingzi rushed to Jiang Yi's place and saw that Lan Yifei, Zhuang Yuan, and Fang Mingyu were all there. It turned out that a classmate saw Lan Yifei being bullied that night and called Jiang Yi and Zhuang Yuan. Everyone had injuries on their faces. As Huang Yingzi was applying medicine for Jiang Yi, she suddenly remembered that she had left her whale umbrella at the cinema and screamed in panic, rushing back to the cinema.

After searching for a long time, she couldn't find it. Huang Yingzi sat by the cinema entrance and cried sadly. Jiang Yi comforted her, saying she could just buy another identical umbrella, but Huang Yingzi wailed that even buying another one wouldn't be the lost one. Years later, Zhuang Yuan was tidying things in Jiang Yi's room and found an identical umbrella with a whale on it. After graduation, Guan Chao stayed in the aerospace city.

Students were curious about the teachers' past and quietly snuck into the office to look for photos of the teacher. Guan Chao's wife, Yang Fan, happened to catch them. A few photos showed Guan Chao and Lan Yifei during high school breaks. When Guan Chao looked at Lan Yifei, his eyes were bright and clear, brimming with happiness that was practically overflowing. Yang Fan had never seen Guan Chao so happy.

That night, she asked Guan Chao about those old times, but Guan Chao chose to remain silent. Perhaps Zhuang Yuan told Huang Yingzi about the umbrella Jiang Yi treasured. That night, Huang Yingzi asked Jiang Yi to come out and chat. She explained that her relationship with Ding Ye was just as friends; he was a writer she liked over ten years ago, and he still was. Hearing this, Jiang Yi finally felt relieved.

The two decided to return to the aerospace city together when they had time off work. On the train, Jiang Yi asked Huang Yingzi why she didn't ask him to buy a similar umbrella. Huang Yingzi had already come to terms with it. She explained that having lost such a precious gift, how could she possibly ask the person who gave it to her to buy it again?

In fact, after losing the umbrella at the cinema that night, every time it rained, Jiang Yi would stand by the cinema entrance, checking if the umbrellas people were holding were that one. After waiting for many days, he finally found that umbrella with the whale drawing and had carefully treasured it ever since. Back in the aerospace city, Huang Yingzi and Jiang Yi had already learned about Guan Chao's situation.

They went to the basketball court to find Guan Chao. Guan Chao admitted that he still couldn't forget Lan Yifei and felt especially guilty every time he faced Yang Fan. Huang Yingzi wanted to say that she also often missed Lan Yifei, but Guan Chao murmured that this kind of missing was different from Huang Yingzi's. That night, Guan Chao returned home. Yang Fan was not there, the room was dark, and everything felt cold.

Guan Chao saw a diamond ring on the coffee table. This was the ring Guan Chao had given her when they got married, and it had now been taken off. The wedding photo next to it was still as new, but their marriage was now facing some trouble.
