Shen Mi and Tian Tian stood back to back, discussing the matter of a little pig. In the middle of the night, Tian Tian woke up to find Shen Mi not in bed. Subsequently, she got up, put on clothes, and went out to look for Shen Mi. They sat on chairs, enjoying the night lights. Shen Mi recalled the events with Gao Zhuo, while Tian Tian talked about Shen Mi. They exchanged thoughts, comforting each other. Tian Tian proposed a bet: whoever lets go of the past and starts anew first wins. They hooked their pinkies and sealed the deal!

The next morning, when they woke up, Tian Tian opened her eyes to see Shen Mi's face. Someone came to call them for breakfast, and they awkwardly turned away without saying a word. Later, they went out for breakfast. The old lady informed them that her husband had gone to catch the chickens they were raising. She also introduced nearby places where city people liked to visit. Shen Mi and Tian Tian explained that they weren't here for leisure; they were looking for a large dog kennel to collaborate with. However, they were not given a chance to meet the owner. Upon hearing the name of the kennel as "Pang Hu Dog Kennel," the old lady laughed and hurriedly called her husband. It turned out that their son was friends with Pang Hu! The old man called the owner directly, and Shen Mi and Tian Tian's hearts were separated.

Uncle Shen Mi's assistant reported that Dr. Gu's desired patent wasn't settled, not due to the price but because the other party refused outright, knowing it was for targeted drug research. Uncle Shen Mi seemed to be pondering something.

Tian Tian and Shen Mi finally returned to Tian Lin, and gossip started circulating. Shen Chen, upon hearing it, felt uneasy, fearing that Shen Mi and Tian Tian were together behind his back. Dr. Chen looked baffled at his electric scooter. Shen Mi wanted to leave but was stopped by Shen Chen. They had a tussle, witnessed by Chen Yifan from afar, who was very confused about their relationship. Uncle Shen Mi found Dr. Gu, hoping he would participate in the promotion of some targeted drugs. Dr. Gu pledged full support for research but refused to be involved in self-promotion. Facing accusations about his relationship with Mengnan, Dr. Gu decisively stated his position and then left! That night, Tian Tian recalled what Shen Mi had said and quietly practiced using a surgical knife again!

The next day at work, Chen Yifan found Tian Peilan to gossip, revealing that he had discovered Shen Chen was Shen Mi's younger brother. Tian Peilan, disbelieving, insisted it was impossible. Chen Yifan, not wanting to hear more, left. Shen Chen discussed Tian Tian's situation with Dr. Tian Yuxian, who insisted on taking the next step when meeting the gaming guru Xing Tao. At this moment, Wen Jing came looking for Shen Chen, revealing a serious patient's case. Shen Chen, Dr. Chen, and Tian Tian were present. Shen Chen quickly diagnosed it as uremia caused by renal failure. Euthanasia seemed the best solution, but the family was unwilling to give up.

Shen Chen took Tian Yuxian to a gathering where he finally met Xing Tao. However, it was through a video conference. Tian Yuxian was still very happy, and everyone insisted Xing Tao was on-site. Surprisingly, he came out in a wheelchair! Although he claimed to be fine, his condition was terrible. He had been diagnosed with advanced-stage brain tumor, almost blind now. Xing Tao and his mother encouraged each other. Hearing this, everyone was deeply moved. Xing Tao said he didn't want to burden his mother and hoped she could pursue her own life. Xing Tao's last wish was to take Sunny back, and he collapsed after saying it. Tian Yuxian found out that the dog with renal failure was Sunny, and Tian Yuxian and Shen Chen decided to help Xing Tao!

Shen Chen managed to send Tian Tian away and prepared the peritoneal dialysis equipment. However, when they were about to leave with Sunny, they discovered that Sunny had no signs of life. Xing Tao's mother arrived and, after learning the situation, found out that Xing Tao wanted to take Sunny back to the sea of his childhood.
