Shen Mi and Tian Tian shared their childhood stories of leaving home after Shen Mi's father passed away. Fortunately, Gao Zhuo shared half of his bread with Shen Mi, and the two experienced freedom and joy. Despite the hardships, Shen Mi now recalls it with happiness. Tian Tian cautiously asked Shen Mi what happened to Gao Zhuo later. It turns out that Gao Zhuo had used all his money because Shen Mi wanted to go on a sea adventure. They happily set sail but encountered an accident. Gao Zhuo got into trouble while trying to save Shen Mi, and by the time they reached the hospital, it was too late. Shen Mi later buried his ashes in their favorite place, but he still felt guilty. Tian Tian comforted him, thanking Gao Zhuo for saving Shen Mi. However, Shen Mi blamed himself for not revealing the real secret; some things Shen Mi still hadn't spoken about.

On another side, Han Mengnan was drinking alone when two people approached her. Fortunately, Dr. Gu appeared in time to save Mengnan. However, she refused to go back to her room and insisted on continuing to drink. Dr. Gu had no choice but to accompany her. Mengnan talked about her disappearance with Shen Mi and the changes in Shen Mi later. Tears flowed uncontrollably, and Dr. Gu guided Mengnan to let go of her worries. While teasing Dr. Gu for being naive, Mengnan took out her prepared gift, reassuring him that it wasn't a ring in the small box. Mengnan smiled, and Dr. Gu could see through her thoughts.

Shen Mi and Tian Tian had just returned to the hotel when Shen Chen complained that they didn't care about him. Tian Tian suddenly received a video showing a crowd surrounding the entrance of Tian Lin. She quickly called Tian Peilan to understand what was happening, and Tian Peilan said the hospital was about to be demolished, urging Tian Tian and Shen Mi to return quickly. Mengnan, just waking up, saw a message from Dr. Gu inviting her to breakfast. Not caring much, she exited the chat and opened Shen Mi's chat box, discovering a message saying he had returned to the country and then left. Mengnan seemed to be contemplating something, looking at the gift Dr. Gu gave her. After dressing up, she went to have breakfast with Dr. Gu, intentionally wearing the earrings he had given her. Mengnan asked Dr. Gu if he could accompany her somewhere, and he agreed. After finishing breakfast, they set off. Dr. Gu asked where they were going, and Mengnan suddenly remembered sharing her location with Shen Mi at his house. However, Mengnan didn't say anything, just mentioning that they would arrive soon. Following the navigation, Mengnan arrived at the tree where Shen Mi had taken Tian Tian. Looking at the stone under the tree with two engraved years, one of them being the day Shen Mi returned to the country, Mengnan didn't understand the significance but still took a photo. She warned Dr. Gu not to mention this matter, especially to Shen Mi, for some reason unknown to Dr. Gu, he agreed.

Tian Tian and Shen Mi rushed to the hospital upon their return to the country. Tian Tian declared herself as the director of Tian Lin and brought the troublemakers to the office. Meanwhile, Shen Mi learned about the situation. Online, people were criticizing Old Chen for colluding with the unscrupulous owner of Pangu Kennel, causing the death of the pet Beibei. Shen Chen suddenly remembered meeting Sister Ju that day when she left Tian Lin. On that day, Sister Ju brought Beibei for an examination, and although everything seemed fine, infectious diseases have an incubation period. Dr. Chen had explained it, but Sister Ju, influenced by the kennel owner, left directly. Later, when Beibei had problems, it was Dr. Chen who saved him, and Sister Ju was present. She insisted that the hospital would not survive if the problem was revealed. One day, Sister Ju saw the kennel owner giving Dr. Chen a red envelope! Tian Tian directly confronted Dr. Chen, with Sister Ju witnessing everything. After Sister Ju left, Tian Tian revealed it was just a play. Dr. Chen then recounted the confrontation with Mr. Fei, but Tian Tian realized that the two stories didn't match at all. Although Tian Peilan could confirm that Dr. Chen had mentioned the incubation period of infectious diseases that day, the situation was still unclear. Just then, they heard a commotion outside, and it turned out Sister Ju was taking Carlo away, threatening Tian Lin to apologize publicly!
