As Dong Shancai arrived at school, a throng of reporters swarmed her, bombarding her with questions about her relationship with Daoming Si, wanting to know if she was indeed the girl who protected the Daoming Group successor at the risk of her life and if they were lovers. After struggling to get away, she was stopped by Baihe and Xin Hui at her classroom door.
They praised her bravery, saying that the era of "tender little flowers" was over and her strong spirit was admirable. Chen Qinghe and Li Zhen then joined them, expressing relief that Shancai and Daoming Si were safe. Li Zhen mentioned they had wanted to visit Daoming Si in the hospital, but Ximen had advised them against it. Shancai humbly said she didn't think much at the time, only rushing to help Daoming Si.
Qinghe, after teasingly asking if she would save him too and being playfully called a "flatterer" by Li Zhen, formally blessed Shancai and Daoming Si's relationship, wishing them eternal happiness. He dramatically announced his withdrawal from pursuing Shancai, unless circumstances drastically changed. Meanwhile, Daoming Si, tired of recuperating at the hospital, left against Yu Sao's wishes, arguing his wound might get infected if he stayed longer.
He decided to stay at Huaze Lei's house to avoid his mother, Daoming Feng, who was busy in London. Huaze Lei was surprised to see him. Daoming Si then revealed his desire to marry Shancai. While Huaze Lei had no objection, he raised concerns about Daoming Feng's strong opposition, fearing Shancai wouldn't want to cause a rift between mother and son.
Daoming Si confidently stated he could support himself, recalling his early success in stock trading, and then unveiled his secret plan: he would marry Shancai first, then reveal his long-planned strategy to transform the Daoming Group into a new concept hotel empire. He refused to elaborate further on the "secret plan." Shancai had been busy working alone at the bubble tea shop because Xiaoyou was attending a tea ceremony class.
Xiaoyou aimed to learn new tea products for the shop, as it was part of her dream to open a branch of the Tea Master. At the tea club, Xiaoyou met an older student, Xiaogeng (also known as Geng Yifen), who made cute dolls. The two bonded over their short hair and shared a liking for men who understood the way of tea, quickly becoming friends.
Later, as Shancai walked Xiaoyou home, Xiaoyou expressed her worries about Ximen, revealing he had been cold to her when she tried to reach out while Shancai was in London. Shancai, seeing Xiaoyou’s sadness, advised her to let go of the relationship if it wasn't meant to be. That evening, F4 hosted a party to celebrate Daoming Si's recovery, playfully calling him an "immortal devil" whom even the King of Hell had rejected.
When Meizuo insisted Daoming Si prove his health by downing a drink, Shancai intervened, reminding them of his unhealed injury and calling them "hooligans." She bravely offered to drink on his behalf, but the bitter, spicy, and salty taste made her choke. Daoming Si then took the glass from her, calling her an "idiot" for trying to be a hero, and drank it himself. Shancai warned him against causing more trouble, while Daoming Si playfully reminded her of "boyfriend etiquette."
During the party, Xiaoyou sat by herself looking lonely until Ximen approached her, and they talked. Shancai, watching them from afar, felt a mix of curiosity and concern about the future of Ximen and Xiaoyou's relationship. Seeing Shancai's slightly downcast mood, Daoming Si pulled Shancai away from the party, saying he only wanted to be with her and proposing they go somewhere just for the two of them.
Outside, he held her close, telling her that his arms were her "Girlfriend's exclusive spot" and that she shouldn't bear difficulties alone. Shancai, feeling his heartbeat and the warmth of his embrace, realized how deeply she loved him. She confessed she felt like the "universe's super duper idiot" for only fully realizing her love when he was close to death, vowing never to lose him again.
Daoming Si, calling her a "little idiot" in comparison to his own self-proclaimed title, teased her when she playfully hit his chest, saying she would cause his wound to reopen if she kept touching him. He then asked her to be serious and let him hold her quietly. Later, Ximen, feeling he owed Xiaoyou for her efforts in climbing buildings to help him find answers, offered to do anything for her.
Xiaoyou, joking about "full service," asked him to come teach a tea ceremony class at her club. Ximen agreed and went with her, but they found the club empty. Ximen joked about teaching only her, but then, Xiaogeng and the other club members returned. Upon seeing Xiaogeng, Ximen was stunned, and they exchanged an emotional "Long time no see," tears welling in their eyes. The other club members quickly realized that "Yifen senior" was Ximen's first love, Xiaogeng.
Ximen then gave his tea lesson, but Xiaoyou was too distressed to pay attention, realizing she had inadvertently reunited Ximen with his past love. Xiaogeng, too, struggled to maintain composure, excusing herself to the restroom where she tried to convince herself to let go of someone who didn't love her, but found herself admitting that after all these years, she still liked Ximen. As the lesson ended, Ximen asked Xiaogeng to talk. Xiaogeng suggested Xiaoyou join them, but Ximen hesitated.
Xiaoyou, sensing she was unwelcome, politely excused herself, claiming she had another class. Ximen and Xiaogeng walked down a familiar path, reminiscing about their childhood and teasing each other about old fears and the time Ximen fell from a rooftop while picking fruit. Xiaogeng confessed her regret for insisting he go to the rooftop, realizing he was protecting her, and admitted her fear and cowardice in facing his answer.
Ximen apologized in return, saying if he had gone to the rooftop that day, their relationship might not have ended. He then asked Xiaogeng for another chance to make amends, suggesting they revisit that rooftop to "start over." Earlier, Xiaogeng had sought out Xiaoyou and informed her that Ximen had invited her to meet on the rooftop of the building the following morning.
Xiaogeng, realizing Xiaoyou's feelings for Ximen, felt it was necessary to tell her this, and expressed her intention to make amends for her past with Ximen. Heartbroken by this news, Xiaoyou later confessed to Shancai that she had helped Ximen find his first love and reconcile with her, comparing her situation to a "brow of an eight" that made her look sad even when she was happy. Shancai, concerned, took Xiaoyou to a KTV, where Daoming Si also joined them.
Xiaoyou, acting as a "song hog," sang the same melancholic song repeatedly, channeling her heartbreak into the music. Shancai and Daoming Si tried to comfort her, telling her to vent until she was exhausted, assuring her that the "darkness would pass" and "her dawn would surely come." The next morning, Ximen and Xiaogeng met at the building for their planned visit. Xiaoyou was also seen climbing the building alone, exhausted, wondering if Ximen and Xiaogeng had already met.
Shancai asked if she regretted helping them, but Xiaoyou denied it, saying only that her heart hurt and she didn't know when it would stop. Shancai advised her not to dwell on the unknown, stating that the pain was proof she was alive. At the top of the building, Ximen looked tired, admitting he hadn't slept well. Xiaogeng reminisced about his childhood, noting his playful but reckless nature despite poor stamina.
Ximen thanked her, telling her that her "innocence and cuteness saved him" during his loneliest times. Xiaogeng then looked at him and asked, "Ximen, do you know I've always liked you?"
