Huaze Lei grew increasingly concerned about Shancai, unable to reach her by phone after she arrived in London. He felt a foreboding sense of dread, fearing that both Shancai and Daoming Si would suffer. In Shanghai, Ximen and Meizuo joked that Shancai must have met Daoming Si, but Huaze Lei, worried, called the hostel only to find Shancai hadn't checked in yet. Meanwhile, in London, Shancai was staying in Thomas's messy, warehouse-like home, which he shared with other street musicians.

She asked to borrow his computer to contact her friends on QQ, but he admitted he hadn't paid the internet bill, leaving her feeling completely cut off. Soon after, Thomas's roommates, Ross and Paul, returned. Shancai immediately recognized them as the ones who had stolen her belongings earlier. She confronted them angrily, and they confessed to selling her phone and bracelet for food and beer, showing her the meager remaining cash in her wallet.

They apologized profusely, promising to make it up to her. Later, Thomas accompanied Shancai to the grand Daoming family estate. Shancai chose to enter alone, feeling an unusual calm. As she approached the door, Ms. Yu stepped out. Overjoyed, Shancai hugged her tightly. Ms. Yu's expression, however, was peculiar; she agreed to take Shancai to Daoming Si but sternly advised her to be strong, no matter what happened. Shancai, bewildered, nodded. Ms. Yu led Shancai to Daoming Si's bedroom.

He sat on the bed, facing away, showing no surprise or happiness at her presence. Coldly, he told her to leave, stating that he should never have gotten involved with her. Shancai, believing his mother, Daoming Feng, was behind his words, pressed him, but Daoming Si remained unusually firm. He avoided her gaze and said they should just consider their time together as a pleasant memory.

With tears welling, Shancai urged him to look her in the eyes and repeat his words, refusing to believe he would give up. Daoming Si slowly turned, met her gaze, and uttered "I'm sorry." He explained that the Daoming family was facing serious issues, and as a Daoming, he had to confront them. He admitted his past immaturity, declaring that he couldn't abandon his family for love.

Heartbroken, Shancai wiped her tears and left, while Daoming Si closed his eyes, unable to watch her go. Outside, Shancai wandered aimlessly, feeling lost. She had bravely pursued their love, but Daoming Si had retreated. Perhaps they were truly destined not to be together. Back on the street, Thomas saw her tears and tried to speak, but Shancai was too overwhelmed. Soon, Huaze Lei, who had flown to London out of deep concern, found her.

Shancai, crying, recounted Daoming Si's words to him. Unbeknownst to Shancai, Daoming Feng had orchestrated everything. The Daoming Group was in deep financial trouble, facing malicious corporate takeovers, and desperately needed help from Xiaozizi's father. Daoming Feng was pushing for an arranged marriage between Daoming Si and Xiaozizi to secure a business alliance.

Daoming Si was aware of the family's dire situation and had argued fiercely with his mother in London, disgusted by her using his relationship for the family's gain. Yet, faced with the potential collapse of his family's legacy, he felt he could not stand by idly.

He later confronted his mother, accusing her of making him sick with her manipulations, but she coldly told him that his love for Shancai was a sacrifice for the livelihoods of hundreds of thousands of Daoming Group employees. Huaze Lei stayed by Shancai's side, comforting her. As he played music, Shancai drifted to sleep, dreaming of Daoming Si, who, with a warm smile, promised never to leave her. They embraced amidst beautiful scenery, but upon waking, the dream vanished.

Huaze Lei had prepared a meal, including a self-heating pot he brought for her, and presented her with a new phone, urging her not to disappear again. Shancai was deeply touched, feeling that amidst the strangeness of London, only Huaze Lei offered familiar warmth. Still somber, she wondered why her relationship couldn't be like a normal couple's, lamenting that Daoming Si didn't even chase after her.

Huaze Lei suggested Daoming Si's erratic behavior might stem from the Daoming Group's corporate struggles. Meanwhile, Daoming Si himself was desolate in his mansion, lying in bed, haunted by thoughts of Shancai. He regretted sending her away after she traveled so far from Shanghai to see him, knowing how heartbroken she must be. He wished he wasn't "Daoming Si," a name that now felt like a burden. Back in Shanghai, friends worried about Shancai.

Xiao You sought out Ximen for news, relieved to hear Huaze Lei was with her. Ximen, seeing Xiao You for the first time in days, admired her new short haircut and thanked her for her past help, acknowledging her role in helping him resolve his internal struggles. Before leaving London, Shancai wanted to express her gratitude to Thomas and his friends. Huaze Lei arranged a dinner, offering to accompany her.

At the restaurant, Thomas, with Ross and Paul joining, teasingly brought up Shancai's earlier mistake of thinking he played the piano and suggested that since Daoming Si had left, she should be with Huaze Lei. Suddenly, Huaze Lei discovered his wallet was missing. With no one having enough money to cover the extravagant meal, Huaze Lei spotted a piano in the corner. He proposed that he, Thomas, Ross, and Paul perform a song to pay for their dinner.

They played the classic "Can't Help Falling in Love," captivating the restaurant and earning enough tips to settle most of their bill. Just as they finished, Xiaozizi called Shancai, who revealed that Daoming Si had broken up with her.
