After a joyful day of playing together, Daoming Si walked Shancai home. As they reluctantly parted ways, their feelings for each other seemed to deepen significantly. They made plans to meet in the bridge room the following day at noon. Just as Shancai was about to leave, Daoming Si asked her to kiss him goodbye.
Shancai hesitated, suggesting "next time," but Daoming Si, with an unsettling premonition, replied that "there is no next time for many things," emphasizing his desire to cherish every moment with her as he anticipated the inevitable conflict with his mother, Daoming Feng. Shancai, startled by his words, gave him a kiss. As Daoming Si walked away from Shancai's home, he sensed he was being followed and confronted his pursuers. He realized these were not his usual bodyguards.
He discreetly made a phone call to Huaze Lei, putting his phone on speaker so that Huaze Lei, Ximen, and Meizuo could overhear his conversation with the bodyguards. They heard the bodyguards state, "Please go with us. This is the order from your mother." Daoming Si agreed to go, but sternly warned them, "But if you dare to hurt Dong Shancai, I'll make you pay double." This alerted F4 that Daoming Si had been taken away.
The next morning, Shancai lovingly prepared a braised squid lunch for Daoming Si and went to the bridge room, but he never appeared. Unable to reach him by phone, she grew increasingly anxious. As she left, disappointed, she ran into Ximen, who led her to the rooftop where Huaze Lei and Meizuo were waiting. They informed a stunned Shancai that Daoming Si had left Mingde.
Huaze Lei recounted Daoming Si's strange phone call, and how they immediately went to his house, only to be told by the servants that he had returned to London. Ximen suggested that Daoming Feng must have discovered Daoming Si's relationship with Shancai. Shancai was heartbroken and confused, questioning how Daoming Si could leave so suddenly after they had been so happy just yesterday.
When Ximen asked about her plans, Shancai, holding back tears, declared that she would no longer passively wait for Daoming Si to protect her. Inspired to take action, she announced her decision to go to London and confront Daoming Feng alongside him, stating, "I'll do anything to see Dao Mingsi." Although concerned about the formidable power of Daoming Feng, Huaze Lei, Ximen, and Meizuo supported Shancai's resolve, promising to look after her friends You and Qinghe's families in her absence.
As Shancai left for the airport, she recalled Daoming Si's playful declaration that he would chase her even to Mars. Now, it was her turn, and she prayed to find him in London. Upon arriving in London, Shancai felt a sense of trepidation in the bustling, unfamiliar city. Huaze Lei called her, and she reassured him that she had arrived safely and was heading to her Xiaozhu Guesthouse, assuring him that her passport and wallet were secure.
Shortly after, two street performers approached her, inviting her to sing with them. Despite her initial reluctance, they pulled her into their performance. Unbeknownst to Shancai, one of them covertly stole her wallet during the song. She realized her wallet was missing only after they had already left, prompting a frantic but ultimately futile chase through the streets. Lost, without money, a phone, or her passport, Shancai wandered despondently into Chinatown.
She entered a Chinese restaurant, hoping for a glass of water. The kind owner, Sister Yue, recognized Shancai's name, having heard it many times from Daoming Si, and also noted its connection to a popular TV show character. After offering Shancai a glass of water, Shancai confided that she was in London to find her boyfriend, admitting she sometimes felt she wasn't good enough for him. Sister Yue reassured her, saying she deserved happiness.
When Shancai admired the restaurant's signature Babao spicy sauce noodles, Sister Yue offered her some, but Shancai, embarrassed by her lack of funds, couldn't respond. Just then, Thomas, an acquaintance, spotted Shancai and kindly paid for her meal.
After Shancai revealed she was searching for Daoming Si, and explained her predicament of being robbed, Thomas, recognizing Daoming Si's family name as prominent in London, offered to help her find him and invited her to stay at his place for the night. Thomas led Shancai to his messy warehouse apartment.
Shancai eagerly asked to use his computer to contact Huaze Lei through QQ, only for Thomas to realize he had forgotten to pay his internet bill, leaving Shancai feeling completely isolated. Her spirits sank further when Thomas's roommates, Ross and Paul, arrived. To Shancai's shock, she recognized them as the street performers who had stolen her wallet. She angrily confronted them, demanding her belongings back.
Ross and Paul confessed to selling her phone and bracelet to buy beer and barbecue, returning her wallet with only a small amount of money left. Though deeply disappointed, Shancai couldn't report Thomas's friends to the police. As she slumped onto the sofa in despair, Ross and Paul, feeling remorseful, apologized and promised to compensate her and cease their thieving ways.
