Following an incident where a man was secretly filming Zhan Yan, she belatedly chased after him, but he had already disappeared. She then confronted Luo Ben, questioning why he hadn't called the police. Luo Ben retorted that the man had already deleted all the footage, making it a waste of time to involve the authorities. Soon after, Luo Ben bought all the bread at a shop, leaving none for the people in line.
Zhan Yan accused him of being selfish, but Luo Ben unapologetically stated that he was simply at the front of the queue and that others should arrive earlier if they wanted bread. He even offered Zhan Yan a bag of bread, but she was more concerned with obtaining his phone, persistently demanding it for "evidence" related to the earlier incident. Luo Ben, however, dismissed her, sarcastically questioning if her name was truly Zhan Yan, noting her constant stern expression.
Meanwhile, Xiong Fei, a deliveryman, arrived at a residential area and discovered that the recipient was Luo Yuan, whom he had met previously at the kindergarten where she teaches. He offered to help her carry items upstairs. When Luo Ben returned home, he noticed men's sneakers and footprints by the door. Assuming Xiong Fei was an intruder, Luo Ben grabbed a golf club and confronted him in the bathroom, acting like a lawyer and demanding his name and employee number.
Luo Yuan quickly intervened, explaining that Xiong Fei was a good person who had even saved a choking child at her school that day. Luo Ben, surprised by this revelation and his sister's prior acquaintance with Xiong Fei, remained skeptical due to his protective nature, constantly warning Luo Yuan about the dangers of trusting strangers. Despite his concern, Luo Yuan was annoyed by his overprotective behavior and began packing her bags.
Fearing she was leaving home, Luo Ben quickly apologized and gave her a whistle necklace, explaining that she could blow it if she ever found herself in danger, and he would come to her rescue. Luo Yuan clarified that she was packing because Fengxi Special Education School had invited her to teach there, and she was leaving the next day.
Hearing this, Luo Ben, who was also scheduled for a business trip to Fengxi, immediately suggested they travel together, even offering to have his assistant Ai Rui'er change his ticket. However, Luo Yuan, fed up with his attempts to control her, simply pushed him out the door. At the Light Chaser Rescue Team's weekend training, Falcon led the session, pushing the team's stamina and explosive power.

Da Peng became indignant on Xiong Fei's behalf, and also vented about his own wife's complaints about his frequent absence from home due to rescue work. At the Fengxi Special Education School, Luo Yuan was warmly welcomed by the principal and introduced to her students from Linjiang. She created a joyful atmosphere, teaching the deaf students to feel the rhythm of music through their bodies. The principal also hinted at a mischievous boy in the class.
Back with Luo Ben, Ai Rui'er remarked on his excessive control over Luo Yuan, suggesting his sister was glad to go to school alone. Despite this, Luo Ben continued texting Luo Yuan, seemingly unfazed, claiming Luo Yuan was an adult capable of taking care of herself. Back at the hospital, Zhan Yan submitted a report, expressing her desire to attend the upcoming National General Surgery Seminar.
The Dean, however, had received a patient complaint about Zhan Yan's communication style, even noting that she had directed the patient to the complaint room. While Zhan Yan admitted her attitude might have been poor, she defended her actions by stating she couldn't stand by and watch a patient miss optimal treatment. The Dean then appointed Cai Yuxiao to represent the hospital at the seminar, citing his longer tenure and more extensive clinical experience.
Zhan Yan protested, emphasizing her long preparation for the event. Cai Yuxiao himself suggested Zhan Yan was more qualified, but the Dean dismissed her argument, telling her to reflect on her behavior. Afterward, Cai Yuxiao caught up with a frustrated Zhan Yan and offered to share his notes from the conference. Luo Ben, unable to reach Luo Yuan, frantically asked Mr. Fang to look after Ai Rui'er as he rushed towards the devastated town, navigating aftershocks and warnings from locals.
As the Light Chaser team arrived, Zhan Qingshan surveyed the devastation, triggering painful flashbacks of his unsuccessful attempt to rescue his wife during a past disaster. Luo Ben found a boy named Lele trapped under rubble, weak and calling for his mother. Luo Ben tried to comfort him, sharing a story about a young boy (himself) who, like Lele, survived a severe earthquake.
He recounted how he and his parents were buried in the collapsed house, and how scared he was, but his mother blew a whistle that ultimately led to their rescue. He also mentioned that he later gained a sister and lived a happy life. He urged Lele to hold on. Just as Lele started losing consciousness, Luo Ben called for help, and the Light Chaser Rescue Team arrived. Lele recognized Xiong Fei as the deliveryman.
Luo Ben, recognizing Xiong Fei, quickly explained the situation and expertly suggested using the "snake eye" to assess the trapped child's condition and a safer angle for debris removal. Falcon, the team leader, instructed Da Peng to prepare for extraction. They successfully rescued Lele. As Lele was brought out, Da Peng explained that Lele's mother had shielded him with her body before she died.
Luo Ben was visibly saddened by the sight, likely reminded of his own harrowing childhood experience and the sacrifices parents make during disasters. He then approached the medical area, desperately asking if anyone had seen a teacher named Luo Yuan from Linjiang, only to be told that she had gone into the school to save a child and had not yet emerged.
