Ren Anle led the troops to join Han Ye. Both sides had different degrees of injuries, and Han Ye was worried and concerned. Although there was a blood feud between Ren Anle and Han Ye, they lived in the same land. If Da Jingguo was destroyed, they would have nowhere to stay.

On the other hand, Wen Shuo and Yuan Qin looked on, feeling relieved that the animosity had been put aside. Han Ye was grateful that he could reunite with Ren Anle. At this moment, Luo Mingxi also arrived to meet with Han Ye and Ren Anle. After carefully examining the secret report, they suddenly realized that they fell for Leng Bei's diversionary tactic.

As the Northern Qin forces intensified their attack and the defenders of Qingnan City grew weak, Princess An Ning led her soldiers back into the city. She was covered in blood, holding a long spear, and facing death fearlessly. She single-handedly killed several enemy soldiers. However, outnumbered, she gradually fell into a disadvantage. Leng Bei tried to persuade her to surrender, but she refused. As she was about to be shot by random arrows, An Ning held up the Da Jingguo military flag, pointing it to the sky and stabbing it into the ground. She still carried an unyielding determination, and her blood dripped from the spear, as if her death did not take away her will to defend the city. In her final moments, An Ning asked herself if she had not gone to Jingxin Hall that year, perhaps she would not have known the truth of the Emperor's family's extermination, and she would not have guarded the northwest with guilt, leading to her encounter with Leng Bei and the fall of Qingnan Mountain. Her life was destined to be full of twists and turns, unable to live peacefully and prosperously as her father wished.

Bai Zheng hurriedly came to report that Qingnan City had fallen, and Princess An Ning had died in battle. Han Ye questioned why Luo Mingxi, under orders, had led troops to support and ended up here. Luo Mingxi seemed to have something he couldn't express, and the military commanders accused him of making unauthorized changes to the route. The soldiers were furious and demanded Luo Mingxi's execution to comfort Princess An Ning's spirit.

Because of Luo Mingxi's unauthorized orders and delayed military affairs, Han Ye took disciplinary action and imprisoned him, planning to execute him later. Ren Anle believed that this was a crucial time to utilize people's abilities. If Luo Mingxi was executed, there would be no one to manage the rear and provide strategies. She begged Han Ye to give Luo Mingxi another chance to make amends. However, Han Ye resolutely refused because he had no other choice. If he did not punish Luo Mingxi, it would be hard to appease the anger of the soldiers, and tens of thousands of them would be disheartened.

After An Ning's death, she left a letter to Ren Anle, expressing that she had passed by Qingnan several times but didn't dare to step in because beneath the city lay the graves of eighty thousand innocent people of Da Jingguo. So, after settling the matters of the Emperor's family, An Ning planned to return to the northwest for mourning. She regretted that Northern Qin hindered her, and she could only gather courage to meet them on the battlefield. Since it all began in Qingnan, it should end in Qingnan City. Ren Anle couldn't help but burst into tears, deeply saddened, and vowed to bring her back.

Later, Ren Anle went to see Luo Mingxi in prison and subtly explained her plan while promising to rescue him. The next morning, Ren Anle left without saying goodbye but left a letter, heading to Qingnan City alone. Wen Shuo followed her to track her movements. Han Ye immediately gathered his troops to attack Qingnan City, but the military commanders insisted on killing Luo Mingxi first. Han Ye angrily rebuked them for endangering the safety of the people due to personal grudges. Bai Zheng and others realized their mistake and pledged loyalty to Han Ye, willing to follow him into Qingnan City.

Wen Shuo intercepted Ren Anle's team on the way, and his wisdom and courage impressed her. So, he joined her to go to Qingnan. The troops broke into Qingnan City at night, attracting the Northern Qin garrison with the clamor of swords and soldiers. Ren Anle sought Leng Bei's residence and ordered him to hand over An Ning's corpse.

Leng Bei deliberately mentioned the suffering An Ning had endured in the past and, taking advantage of Ren Anle's distraction, sprinkled a powder towards her. At a critical moment, Han Ye appeared and protected Ren Anle, forcing Leng Bei to escape while injured. Due to the effect of the drug, Ren Anle fainted, and Han Ye had to put aside the pursuit of Leng Bei.
