Originally, Han Zhongyuan wanted to spare Gu Yunnian, but when he learned that the killer at the palace banquet was sent by Gu Yunnian, he couldn't help but be disappointed and handed the entire case over to Han Ye for full responsibility. Han Zhongyuan still harbored suspicions about Ren Anle and secretly ordered further investigations.
