> The Legend of Anle Recap

Just as Han Zhongyuan was hesitating and undecided, Ren Anle suddenly entered the palace to meet with the emperor, hoping that the emperor could personally welcome the 80,000 loyal souls of the Di family back to the capital. Han Zhongyuan was reluctant to do so, and Han Ye believed that it was inappropriate for the emperor to go to the northwest border in person. He was willing to go and bring back the Di family army himself to quell the anger of the people.

After some contemplation, Han Zhongyuan agreed to release Luo Mingxi and allowed Han Ye to go to the northwest border. However, there was one thing he needed Han Ye to answer: whether he wanted to marry Di Ziyuan. Han Ye stated that his only goal in life was to assist the emperor in governing the country. Han Zhongyuan was satisfied with this and ordered that the decree of self-blame would be issued on the day the Di family's spirits returned to the capital.

Later, Han Ye and Ren Anle went to the Ministry of Punishment to welcome Luo Mingxi's release from prison. During the journey, Han Ye engaged in conversation with Ren Anle, hoping that they could still talk happily as they used to. However, Ren Anle emphasized that now that she had regained her identity as Di Ziyuan, she could not go back to the way things were. Fortunately, Luo Mingxi seemed to be in good condition, which relieved Ren Anle, but made Han Ye feel out of place.

Ren Anle and Luo Mingxi left together in a carriage, and Han Ye couldn't hide his sense of loss, while Lin Lang shed tears by the roadside. Cold North secretly met with a spy to inquire about Jiang Yu's next plan. Jiang Yu's true goal was to provoke conflicts between the Han and Di families and bring their feud to the surface. While public opinion was still strong, they could further fuel the fire.

Three days later, Luo Mingxi arranged to meet with Ren Anle to discuss her thoughts about the Han and Di families. He reminded her that Di Ziyuan had won the hearts of the people and become a thorn in Han Zhongyuan's side. She was destined to be the feared bloodline of the Han family. If she didn't seize the opportunity to balance the Han family's power, the tragedy of the Di family might repeat itself.

Ren Anle was unwilling to talk about this matter, but she knew she would have to face it sooner or later. Han Ye personally brought pastries to An Ning and advised her to do what she liked without any worries, assuring her that he would be there for her. An Ning understood Han Ye's pain and comforted him, saying that one day Ren Anle would see his efforts.

Empress Chengen discovered that her jewelry had been stolen, and it was the palace maids of Yuanshui Pavilion who did it. These maids, upon hearing that Empress Chengen was an imposter, were disrespectful towards her. Fortunately, Mu Qing helped Empress Chengen get justice and promised to always be by her side, which deeply touched Empress Chengen.

Now, Luo Mingxi's health was getting weaker, and he relied on Lin Lang's acupuncture to improve his condition. He wanted to help Ren Anle solve her current troubles while he still had time. On the day of departure, Luo Mingxi unexpectedly joined Ren Anle and Han Ye on the journey, and Ren Anle resolutely took a seat in Luo Mingxi's carriage.

Originally, Han Ye had prepared fine wine for Ren Anle, but she deliberately avoided him. In fact, Ren Anle had never hated Han Ye. She knew he would become a wise ruler who would benefit the country and the people. But whenever Luo Mingxi mentioned the Di family, she found excuses to avoid the topic. Luo Mingxi reminded her that as a member of the Di family, she should have the courage to influence and change things.

Wen Shuo felt that the deep bond between Han Ye and Ren Anle was no less than that of Han Taizu and Empress Shengtian, wondering how they had come to this point. Han Ye explained that Ren Anle had become Di Ziyuan and they could never reconcile. Though he wished there was no Di Ziyuan in this world, and only Ren Anle, the water bandit leader from Jingnan, whom he would remember forever, he knew that was just wishful thinking.

During the journey, the convoy encountered heavy rain, and they had to take a break. Ren Anle, Luo Mingxi, and Han Ye sought shelter from the rain in a thatched shed. Luo Mingxi was determined to make the Han family repay the half of the country they took away in the past. He deliberately mentioned the unjust death of the Di family soldiers, who were not killed in battle, but by the hands of corrupt officials and an incompetent ruler.

On the other hand, An Ning decided to ask the emperor for his permission to treat the surviving members of the Di family kindly. She had been secretly investigating their whereabouts over the years, and most of them were scattered in the northwest border, and she had received some news about them. Han Ye remembered Luo Mingxi's words about the unjust death of the Di family soldiers and the suffering of their families, and felt even more guilty.

On the carriage, Ren Anle disagreed with Luo Mingxi's stance. She believed that a war for power would only bring suffering to innocent civilians. She had faith in Han Ye's ability to govern wisely and create a peaceful and prosperous era. However, Luo Mingxi argued that the corrupt officials were rampant in Da Jing, and the people were suffering. The Han family was no longer qualified to rule, and Han Ye alone couldn't reverse the situation.
