Qing Yao asked the maid for the token to enter the lake island. She personally came to deliver food to Ji Yunhe and attacked her fiercely. Ji Yunhe, being injured, did not want to prolong the fight. She had no choice but to reveal her fox fire for protection and retaliate with the Hidden Soul Needle.

Qing Yao was surprised that she not only had her aunt Qing Shu's unique fox fire but also knew how to use Qing Shu's exclusive technique, the Hidden Soul Needle. This further confirmed to her that Ji Yunhe had killed Qing Shu. Ji Yunhe repeatedly explained, but Qing Yao did not listen at all and ruthlessly tried to kill Ji Yunhe. Ji Yunhe's strength gradually gave out. Chang Yi arrived in time to stop it and called Qing Yao aside.

Chang Yi defended Ji Yunhe and recounted in detail how Qing Shu died for Lin Canglan. Qing Yao could see that Chang Yi still had feelings for Ji Yunhe. Chang Yi did not want to explain too much. He reminded Qing Yao not to step onto the lake island and also took back the token. Qi Feng wanted to take his clansmen to the lake island to kill Ji Yunhe.

Qing Yao desperately stopped him, clearly stating that Ji Yunhe did not kill Qing Shu. Qi Feng did not believe it at all. Qing Yao punished him with house arrest for twenty days in the name of disturbing military morale. Qi Feng was so angry that he gnashed his teeth. The backlash within Ji Yunhe's body became increasingly severe. She was tormented to the point where death seemed better than life. Chang Yi was both anxious and angry.

He forced her to drink the tonic medicine. Ji Yunhe saw the long-lost heartache and tenderness in his eyes. Chang Yi had always thought that Ji Yunhe betrayed him to Ru Ling in exchange for freedom and glory, but he did not expect her to be tormented like this by Ru Ling in the end. He felt that Ji Yunhe had difficulties she could not express.

Ji Yunhe remained silent, only begging Chang Yi to let her go out and live a few days of free life in the last moments of her life. Chang Yi became angry out of embarrassment and told Ji Yunhe to kill him first before mentioning it again.

Ji Yunhe did not want to explain what happened back then, precisely because she was afraid that after the explanation, Chang Yi would know that Ji Yunhe suffered all this torment because of him. Ji Yunhe had little life left and feared that Chang Yi would be unable to cope even more after she passed away. Xue Sanyue came to argue with Chang Yi, forcing him to release Ji Yunhe. Chang Yi flatly refused.

Xue Sanyue felt there was a misunderstanding between him and Ji Yunhe. Chang Yi did not believe it at all. He could never forget the heartless words Ji Yunhe said on the cliff, how she ruthlessly stabbed him, and pushed him off the cliff. Xue Sanyue, in a huff, wanted to fight Chang Yi to the death. Fortunately, Li Shu arrived in time to stop her.

Kong Ming heard that Qing Yao and Qi Feng had fallen out and also felt that Chang Yi should not keep Ji Yunhe. Chang Yi did not listen at all. Li Shu advised Xue Sanyue not to be impulsive. Even if she rescued Ji Yunhe, she would have nowhere to settle down, as Ning Qing would surely hunt her down and kill her. Xue Sanyue forbade him from interfering.

Li Shu knew that Xue Sanyue still wouldn't forgive him and quickly went back to stew soup to please her. Chang Yi brought official documents to the lake island every day. He reviewed them day and night. Ji Yunhe felt pained for him and took the initiative to seek him out for a casual chat. Ji Yunhe once again expressed her desire for freedom. Chang Yi gave her a copy of the Guangwu Collection to pass the time.

Ji Yunhe used all her spiritual power to try and break through the restriction, but it was in vain. Da Huan and Xiao Huan witnessed Li Shu, a dignified prince, actually going into the kitchen to stew soup for Xue Sanyue, and Xue Sanyue didn't even appreciate it. They felt it was not worth it for Li Shu. Li Shu forcibly drove them away.

The two of them complained bitterly in private, wanting to help Li Shu get rid of Xue Sanyue, this burden. Luo Jinsang came to find Qing Ji and saw Da Huan and Xiao Huan hiding aside, looking suspicious. She suspected they were spies sent by Ning Qing. Qing Ji rushed over upon hearing the news and introduced them as Li Shu's clansmen. Da Huan and Xiao Huan were so frightened that they ran away in a flash.

Luo Jinsang begged Qing Ji to help resolve the misunderstanding between Ji Yunhe and Chang Yi. Qing Ji found it inconvenient to intervene, stating that their relationship was far more complicated than just a simple misunderstanding. Luo Jinsang had no choice but to give up. Ji Yunhe tried to use her power whenever she had time, hoping to break through the restriction and leave the lake island as soon as possible.

A Ming came to see Ji Yunhe and also chatted with her. Ji Yunhe revealed her idea of escaping to her. A Ming told Ji Yunhe to knock her out. Ji Yunhe had no choice but to do as she was told. She used all her spiritual power and finally succeeded in breaking through the restriction and escaping. Luo Jinsang came to ask Kong Ming for help, pleading desperately for him to ask Chang Yi to release Ji Yunhe.

When Kong Ming saw her, his heart raced, and he spoke incoherently. Luo Jinsang launched a romantic offensive against him again. Kong Ming was completely defenseless. Fortunately, Chang Yi arrived in time to relieve Kong Ming's embarrassment. Luo Jinsang quickly hid. Chang Yi was discussing defensive strategies with Kong Ming to resist Ning Qing's counterattack. Suddenly, he felt that the restriction on the lake island had been broken.

Just as he was about to go back and investigate, Luo Jinsang rushed in and desperately stopped him, buying time for Ji Yunhe's escape. In a fit of pique, Chang Yi tied Kong Ming and Luo Jinsang together. Ji Yunhe regained her freedom and ran wildly across the icy and snowy land of North Abyss. She cheered with joy. Finally, exhausted, she lay down on the snow to watch the stars in the sky. Chang Yi quickly found her.

Ji Yunhe lied, claiming she would obediently return to the lake island and begged Chang Yi not to tie her up. As soon as Chang Yi untied her, Ji Yunhe tried to escape but was caught back by Chang Yi. He also left a merman mark on her ear, forbidding her to leave the lake island even half a step. Da Huan and Xiao Huan accidentally saw the scene of Chang Yi catching Ji Yunhe.

They immediately went back to report to Li Shu. Li Shu quickly went to find Chang Yi, reminding him to tell Xue Sanyue about this matter. Ji Yunhe did not want to be bound and wanted to rub off the mark on her ear. The merman mark could connect the five senses of two people. Ji Yunhe rubbed the mark desperately despite the pain. The mark on Chang Yi's ear also felt a burning pain.

Luo Su felt very pained for him. Li Shu advised Chang Yi not to torture each other with Ji Yunhe anymore and suggested they both take a step back. Chang Yi brought up his relationship with Xue Sanyue as an example. Li Shu clearly stated that if Xue Sanyue got tired of him and left, he would accept his fate. Xue Sanyue, hiding aside, heard everything clearly.
