Swords of Legends Episode 15 Recap
> Swords of Legends Recap
Tu Su was recovering from an evil aura flare-up after defeating Li Pan An. Shao Gong reassured Qing Xue that Tu Su was fine, just exhausted from the battle. Shao Gong then revealed a leather scroll he found on Li Pan An, which contained information about a Jade magical talisman. He explained that he had previously acquired a piece of this ancient treasure but lost it while overturning the Yun Clan.
The Jade Talisman was capable of absorbing and transferring energy, even from celestial and earthly sources, and could be used in alchemy. However, Li Pan An's misuse of a broken fragment had resulted in the grotesque mutations of the bandits and citizens. Qing Xue recognized the Jade's power as a celestial skill. Ru Qin arrived at the Fang residence to thank Lingyue for his help in saving Lan Sheng and Tu Su.
She expressed her desire for Lingyue to stay longer. Lan Sheng, ever impetuous, interrupted, suggesting he could go to Tianyong City with Lingyue if Ru Qin wished for Tu Su to be her brother. Angered by Lan Sheng's reckless words and believing his actions had endangered Tu Su, Ru Qin slapped him and grounded him for a month, forbidding him from leaving the house. Lan Sheng later sought out Xiang Ling to complain about Ru Qin hitting him.
He confessed his feelings for Xiang Ling and accepted her demon identity, urging her to like him in return. Xiang Ling, however, was preoccupied with Tu Su’s "black smoke," or evil aura, and hoped to cure him so he would remember her. She worried that Tu Su, as a Tianyong City disciple, could not like a demon without breaking his sect's rules and suffering.
Lan Sheng initially tried to dissuade her from this difficult path, but seeing her distress, he eventually agreed to help her cure Tu Su. Lingyue suddenly appeared and engaged Xiang Ling in a fight. Outmatched, Xiang Ling transformed into her true demon form and fled, eventually running into Lan Sheng, who was still searching for her. She leaped into his arms, begging him to carry her away, and Lan Sheng quickly ran off with her.
Concerned about Lan Sheng’s waywardness, Ru Qin discussed plans with Qing Xue to arrange a marriage for him with Sun Yue Yan. Her scheme involved a traditional embroidered ball event, hoping to force Lan Sheng into a responsible role. Qing Xue, though hesitant, agreed to help. Meanwhile, back at Tianyong City, Fu Qu was bored and worried about Lingyue and Tu Su's prolonged absence.
She confided in Hong Yu, expressing concern about Tu Su's past possession and his possible involvement in Zhao Lin's death, even wishing he might never return to Tianyong City. Unbeknownst to them, Ling Duan overheard their conversation, learning that Lingyue was still away and Tu Su was remaining outside the city. Tu Su continued to recover with medicine prepared by Qing Xue, expressing his gratitude while clarifying that their relationship was strictly that of friends.
He confided in Shao Gong his reluctance to return to Tianyong City without resolving Zhao Lin's murder and clearing his name, especially with Ling Duan's accusations looming. He also admitted his growing attachment to his friends in Qinchuan. Shao Gong encouraged Tu Su to be honest with Lingyue about his desires.
Lingyue, having received a letter from the Head Reverend, reiterated his insistence that Tu Su immediately accompany him back to Tianyong City, emphasizing the dangers of the Burning Solitude sword aura outside their protected environment. Tu Su admitted his desire to stay in Qinchuan to investigate Zhao Lin's killer and the masked men, as well as his fondness for the place and its people.
Qing Xue intervened, assuring Lingyue that she was actively working on a method to suppress Tu Su's evil aura, requesting more time until the next full moon. Lan Sheng also spoke up, urging Lingyue to be more understanding and not force Tu Su to leave against his will. Lingyue, swayed by their pleas, reluctantly agreed to let Tu Su stay until after the upcoming full moon.
Later, Qing Xue informed Tu Su that she and Shao Gong had conspired to make Lingyue believe Tu Su had run off to Jiang Du, hoping to buy them more time. Lingyue then appeared, revealing he had feigned his earlier departure and was aware of their trick, having returned to test them.
On the lively Mid-Autumn Festival night, Lan Sheng, having promised Ru Qin he would go out with her, subtly arranged for her to spend time with Shao Gong releasing river lanterns. He then slipped away. Shao Gong, as he released his lantern, inscribed Xun Fang’s name alongside his own, expressing his regret over her loss and advising Ru Qin to cherish true love. Ru Qin reaffirmed her unwavering determination to keep Lan Sheng within the family and departed.
Meanwhile, at the Wangjiang Tower, Yue Yan and her nanny waited impatiently for Lan Sheng. While fleeing Lingyue, Lan Sheng, still carrying Xiang Ling, accidentally crashed into the embroidered ball ceremony. Xiang Ling managed to escape, but the nanny quickly brought Yue Yan forward. Yue Yan threw the embroidered ball, striking Lan Sheng. Despite his attempts to discard the ball and run, it magically clung to him.
Ru Qin and the nanny, with an entourage, forcibly tried to take Lan Sheng away. Ru Qin intercepted Lingyue, imploring him not to interfere with Lan Sheng's "good marriage." Later that Mid-Autumn night, Tu Su's evil aura flared up violently. Qing Xue immediately helped him suppress it using a secret Youdu technique. However, the powerful backlash caused her to spit blood and collapse. Not wanting Tu Su to witness her weakened state, she discreetly departed.
When Tu Su awoke and found Qing Xue gone, he searched for her. He then heard Shao Gong playing the zither and joined him by playing a leaf instrument. The two friends spoke about their past, their lives, and their aspirations. Tu Su revealed that Ling Duan had discovered his whereabouts and that he planned to leave Qinchuan soon.
Shao Gong, who was also preparing to depart to search for more Jade Talisman fragments, suggested that collecting all the fragments might be the key to curing Tu Su's evil aura. Tu Su expressed his desire to accompany him, and they agreed to embark on this journey together. Tu Su, remembering Qing Xue, returned to the Fang residence and found her unconscious in her room.
Shao Gong diagnosed Qing Xue with a severe backlash from the Youdu secret technique, requiring a month of rest without using any powers. Tu Su was filled with self-reproach, but Qing Xue, upon waking, comforted him. Lingyue took Shao Gong aside and informed him of his own need to return to Tianyong City first.
Shao Gong then told Lingyue of his plan to take Tu Su to Jiang Du to search for Jade Talisman fragments, and Lingyue entrusted Tu Su to Shao Gong's care. Back at the Sun family, Ru Qin and the nanny pressed Lan Sheng about the marriage arrangements, but he adamantly refused. Yue Yan, witnessing Lan Sheng's distress, spoke up on his behalf, saying she did not wish to force him.
However, Ru Qin and the nanny insisted she take the marriage seriously. Lan Sheng and Ru Qin continued their private argument about the forced marriage. Later, Tu Su and Qing Xue returned, and Lan Sheng learned that Lingyue had departed and that Tu Su planned to go to Jiang Du. He insisted on joining them.
Qing Xue, still hoping for the arranged marriage, urged Lan Sheng to stay and marry Yue Yan, which made Lan Sheng realize Qing Xue's involvement in the embroidered ball scheme. He firmly rejected the marriage. As Shao Gong prepared to leave, entrusting Aunt Tong to Ru Qin's care, a masked woman rushed in. She removed her veil, revealing herself to be Xun Fang. Shao Gong and Aunt Tong were both stunned into silence.
Shao Gong and Xun Fang spoke privately, where Xun Fang recounted her harrowing escape from the Penglai disaster and the severe illness that had caused her memory loss. Overwhelmed with guilt and joy, Shao Gong embraced her deeply. Xun Fang then met the others, and Ru Qin arranged for her to settle in. Shao Gong escorted Xun Fang to her room and tidied her bed.
Xun Fang, still affected by her memory loss, asked if they were married and expressed concern about forgetting important details. Shao Gong reassured her, promising to help her recover her memories, before leaving to check on Aunt Tong. He found Aunt Tong carrying a basin, going to care for Xun Fang, and they spoke about Xun Fang's return. Shao Gong expressed his profound gratitude to Aunt Tong for saving his life and his immense contentment at Xun Fang's return. However, Aunt Tong harbored a lingering suspicion about whether the woman was truly Xun Fang. Meanwhile, Xun Fang waited in her room, her expression dark and unreadable.
