Ling Lingqi and Lu Baoni both decided to confess to their respective crushes tonight. Ling Lingqi invited Bo Hai to the flower room, but Bo Hai was called away to work by Zhou Xinyan. Lu Baoni put on delicate makeup and intercepted Mo Nan halfway, wanting to invite him to dinner. Mo Nan, however, refused without any sentiment. Lu Baoni could only take out Mo Nan's resignation letter to threaten him.
Lu Baoni believed that Mo Nan liked her but was afraid to confess, which was why he wanted to resign to escape this relationship. Seeing that Mo Nan was still unresponsive, she could only grab Mo Nan's hand and bravely confess to him. After some struggle, Mo Nan confessed that he did not like Lu Baoni, then turned and left. Ling Lingqi eagerly took photos in the flower room and sent them to Bo Hai.
Bo Hai left Zhou Xinyan and Chen Mo and rushed back to the company. Zhou Xinyan's eyes welled up with tears as she watched Bo Hai's receding figure. Chen Mo immediately took out a lollipop he carried with him to comfort her. Ling Lingqi fell asleep on the table, and in her dream, she unconsciously pushed the water cup next to her off the table. Water splashed onto the power strip, quickly sparking, and the flower room caught fire.
Ling Lingqi woke up to find herself surrounded by flames; she could only scream for help. Bo Hai couldn't reach Ling Lingqi by phone and rushed to the flower room, only to discover it was engulfed in flames. The firelight illuminated the night sky, spreading unrestrainedly. Bo Hai, worried about Ling Lingqi's safety, rushed in, but his colorblindness flared up at that moment, and the childhood fire reappeared in Bo Hai's mind.
Bo Hai fainted, but he kept calling Ling Lingqi's name. Mo Nan, who had rejected Lu Baoni, returned to the company. Seeing the flower room on fire, he bravely rushed in and rescued Ling Lingqi. Bo Hai also woke up at this moment. He watched Ling Lingqi being carried onto the ambulance and wanted to rush over but was stopped by Mo Nan. Mo Nan believed that Ling Lingqi was injured because of Bo Hai.
Ling Lingqi lay weakly on the hospital bed, breathing oxygen. Lu Baoni, seeing that Ling Lingqi had almost died in the fire because of Bo Hai, began to doubt Bo Hai's feelings for Ling Lingqi. Bo Hai, standing outside the door, heard all of this. Bo Hai was filled with self-reproach. Mo Nan and Lu Baoni's words kept echoing in his ears, making him feel that he had wronged Ling Lingqi.
Lu Baoni and Mo Nan coincidentally met at the hospital, and both were very awkward. Ling Lingqi was arranging a bouquet she made from wildflowers by the lawn, because the starry sky bouquet she had intended to show Bo Hai last night was destroyed. Bo Hai came to Ling Lingqi's side. Seeing Bo Hai's self-reproachful expression, Ling Lingqi said that she did not blame him and took out the bouquet of wildflowers, waiting for Bo Hai's answer.
They had once agreed that as long as Ling Lingqi made the starry sky bouquet, Bo Hai would respond to his feelings for Ling Lingqi. Bo Hai rejected Ling Lingqi. Even though he had been so kind to Ling Lingqi before, seeing Ling Lingqi's disbelief, Bo Hai also seemed incredibly heartbroken. But to make Ling Lingqi leave him, Bo Hai heavily threw the bouquet on the ground as he left, as if shattering Ling Lingqi's heart.
Ling Lingqi could no longer hold back; she squatted on the ground and cried, as heartbroken as she was when she first met Bo Hai. Ling Lingqi and Lu Baoni had originally agreed to get out of singlehood together, but who would have thought that both their confessions would fail. They sat together again, drinking themselves into a stupor. Ling Lingqi stumbled on her way home. Mo Nan saw her and quickly helped her home.
Ling Lingqi complained that Bo Hai liked her but did not tell her. This sentence initially made Mo Nan overjoyed, but after hearing Bo Hai's name, his smile gradually froze. Bo Hai couldn't sleep no matter what; he could only put on a dream bracelet to fall asleep. Bo Hai was badly beaten by a mysterious person. Ling Lingqi saw it from the shadows but was motioned by Bo Hai to escape.
The mysterious person took off their mask; it turned out to be just Bo Hai's inner demon. He had cast a curse on himself, turning Bo Hai's love into a sharp blade that would leave those he loved covered in scars. All of this was reminding Bo Hai to stay away from Ling Lingqi, because his love had hurt her. Ling Lingqi arrived at the company early in the morning and saw someone packing her belongings.
It turned out she had been transferred by Bo Hai to be a branch manager. Ling Lingqi was angry and despairing. She wanted to come and ask Bo Hai for clarification, but the office door was locked. Ling Lingqi angrily pounded on the door, while Bo Hai helplessly apologized inside. In Bo Hai's heart, he had almost killed the person he loved. That fire had placed a restraint on Bo Hai's fragile heart, making him unable to accept Ling Lingqi. The two of them, separated by the office door, cried simultaneously. A single door had surprisingly separated two people who loved each other.
