What is love? Is it a sweet-and-sour candy, something that makes you cry but still care, or a sweet kiss on a summer afternoon? Sometimes, what seems like a lovelorn story, like a sudden breakup on a rainy day, is actually the beginning of a sweet love story. This is a tale of how dreams, persistence, and a little magic can lead to unexpected love.

The story begins with Ling Lingqi, a kind and sincere veterinary medicine student who possesses a timid and self-conscious nature. One rainy day, she experiences a sudden breakup. However, the scene quickly shifts as a handsome, suit-clad man appears and offers her a bouquet of flowers in the clear skies after the rain. This man is Bo Hai, the charismatic CEO of FlowerPlus, a flower art company, and Ling Lingqi's unknown object of admiration.

Ling Lingqi harbored a deep admiration for Bo Hai, her idol, representing all the qualities of a dream lover. Ling Lingqi believed that as long as one persisted in a dream, it would eventually come true. Driven by her admiration, she bravely applied for a part-time position at FlowerPlus, despite it being unrelated to her major. Her best friend, Lu Baoni, who considered Ling Lingqi second only to Bo Hai in her affections, helped her with the application.

To their surprise, Lu Baoni was accepted, while Ling Lingqi was rejected, leading to her repeated frustrations. Despite this, Ling Lingqi remained undeterred, continuing her efforts to join FlowerPlus even after graduation, much to her parents’ chagrin, who wished she would find a stable job. One day, while watching a public LED screen displaying an interview with Bo Hai, whom she admired as the perfect dream lover, something extraordinary happened.

Ling Lingqi's and Bo Hai's respective bracelets began to react to each other. Ling Lingqi hallucinated that Bo Hai stepped out of the screen and approached her, leading to a moment of imagined romantic connection, only for her to "wake up" and find herself holding an innocent elderly woman's hand, much to her embarrassment. This magical connection was initiated through Sweet Dream Technology, where Ling Lingqi had found a way to earn money as an "experiencer" for their sleep-improving bracelets.

Lu Baoni, a vivacious and carefree woman who valued her friendship with Ling Lingqi more than any man, met up with Ling Lingqi. After enjoying a large meal, Lu Baoni presented Ling Lingqi with a collection of past FlowerPlus exam questions, encouraging her to prepare for future opportunities. She assured Ling Lingqi of her unwavering support, promising to always love her, even if they weren’t a couple.

Meanwhile, in France, Bo Hai was facing a high-stakes challenge: designing the flowers for the wedding of Hollywood superstar Nicolas and his fiancée, Madeline. Just hours before the ceremony, Madeline made an outrageous demand, insisting that all one hundred thousand white roses be replaced with pink ones. Nicolas, deeply in love with Madeline, pleaded with Bo Hai to fulfill her wish. Compounding this pressure, FlowerPlus was under threat of a hostile takeover by a foreign company called DREAM.

Vice President Wen Qiguang was secretly meeting with stockholders to undermine Bo Hai, using the wedding as a critical opportunity to either raise FlowerPlus’s value or expose its weaknesses. Bo Hai, aware of the treachery, decided to put all his efforts into making Nicolas’s wedding a resounding success, confident that a triumph would thwart the hostile takeover. That night, plagued by intense nightmares, Bo Hai put on the sleep-improving bracelet Chen Mo, his secretary, had given him.

He quickly fell back into a deep sleep. Simultaneously, Ling Lingqi, back home, also drifted off to sleep while wearing her own bracelet. Unbeknownst to them, the bracelets, part of Sweet Dream Technology’s experimental program, were designed to collect brainwaves during dreams and create dream models. Due to a malfunction in the bracelet’s system, Ling Lingqi’s brainwaves were transmitted into Bo Hai’s dream model, causing her to enter his dream.

In this shared dream, Ling Lingqi unexpectedly materialized in a mysterious ancient castle, falling onto the sleeping Bo Hai. She found herself unexpectedly kissing him and, in her dream-like state, became quite bold with him. Bo Hai, startled awake, barely had time to react before a giant dragon appeared. To protect Ling Lingqi, Bo Hai was knocked down.

In a surge of courage, the usually timid Ling Lingqi wielded a sword, striking the dragon, and drops of blood transformed white flowers into a vibrant pink. In this dream, Bo Hai was a prince who, to repay Ling Lingqi for saving him, offered to grant her a wish. Ling Lingqi, embracing her infatuation, immediately pinned Bo Hai down and kissed him again. Bo Hai then abruptly woke up, though he could not recall the dream girl’s face.

Ling Lingqi, however, woke up feeling invigorated, as if she had experienced a delightful dream. The next day, the wedding day arrived. Madeline was furious when she saw the white roses were still in place. Just as she was about to cancel the wedding, Bo Hai, inspired by his dream, revealed his solution: he had ingeniously dyed all one hundred thousand white roses a beautiful pink.

Madeline, deeply touched, explained her preference: three years prior, Nicolas had given her a bouquet of pink roses, signifying his first declaration of love. The ceremony proceeded flawlessly in a stunning pink Eden, with Madeline and Nicolas exchanging vows. As fireworks lit up the night sky, a strange phenomenon occurred: Bo Hai’s vision momentarily turned grey and black. Chen Mo, long accustomed to Bo Hai’s recurring physical and sleep issues, knew they stemmed from a childhood psychological trauma.

Back home, Ling Lingqi watched the wedding news and recognized the ancient castle from her dream, her eyes wide with disbelief. As she watched, her bracelet glowed. The two bracelets, silently connecting, continued to entwine the destinies of Ling Lingqi and Bo Hai through the mysterious landscape of their shared dreams.
