Lu Zhiang told Li Xia that he had used sketching with Fu Xiaosi as an excuse to escape from home, and Li Xia couldn't help but feel a little worried. Fu's mother and Fu's father waited at home, full of expectation for Fu Xiaosi to return for the reunion. However, Fu Xiaosi called his mother to tell her that he would not be coming home for the Lunar New Year.

Fu's mother felt sad and disappointed, but she couldn't win against her stubborn son. After hanging up the phone, Fu's mother complained to Fu's father that the time their family spent together throughout the year was truly few and far between, and the festive atmosphere of the New Year had become bleak. Lu Zhiang and Fu Xiaosi came to Li Xia's home to learn how to make dumplings.

This was undoubtedly a major challenge for the pampered Lu Zhiang and Fu Xiaosi. Fu Xiaosi was clumsy while making them, and Li Xia couldn't help but teach him hand-in-hand. Their first physical contact harbored the slight shyness of youth. Lu Zhiang and Fu Xiaosi pleasantly watched the Spring Festival Gala and enjoyed the delicious food with Li Xia's family. Their first Lunar New Year in an unfamiliar place brought a gentle warmth to Fu Xiaosi and Lu Zhiang.

Compared to the cozy Lunar New Year atmosphere at Li Xia's home, the atmosphere at Cheng Qiqi's home seemed heavy. Cheng Qiqi spent the Lunar New Year at home, facing a large family, but she lacked a sense of belonging. Looking at her most familiar family members, she felt a sense of distance in her heart, and she could never truly open up to them as she would to her own immediate family.

Fu Xiaosi's family also celebrated New Year's Eve, but at the dinner table, there were only Fu's father and Fu's mother. Fu's father was focused on eating, while Fu's mother's face revealed melancholy and anger, because the lively atmosphere that should belong to a family was missing Fu Xiaosi's presence. Lu Zhiang suggested going to set off fireworks with Li Xia and Fu Xiaosi. Fu Xiaosi unintentionally held Li Xia's hand to teach him how to light the fireworks.

Lu Zhiang, watching their intimate actions quietly from the side, felt a touch of jealousy. The fireworks suddenly splattered, and Li Xia was startled instinctively. Lu Zhiang leaned behind Li Xia, and Li Xia, nestled in Lu Zhiang's arms, was also somewhat at a loss. Under the dazzling fireworks, Fu Xiaosi watched from afar as Lu Zhiang and Li Xia's feelings slowly grew closer, feeling an unspeakable bitterness in his heart.

Even the most beautiful fireworks could not dispel Fu Xiaosi's gloomy mood. Lu Zhiang and Fu Xiaosi couldn't go home and had to stay overnight at Li Xia's house. Fu Xiaosi looked at the toys displayed in Li Xia's room and his naive childhood photos, completely unable to understand a girl's mind. Lu Zhiang took off his clothes, and the coin Li Xia had given him suddenly slipped. Fu Xiaosi began to doubt Li Xia's feelings for Lu Zhiang.

Fu Xiaosi and Lu Zhiang slept in the same bed. Fu Xiaosi couldn't help but ask about the relationship between Lu Zhiang and Li Xia, but Lu Zhiang, too tired, ignored Fu Xiaosi's words. Fu Xiaosi's heart remained uneasy, and he tossed and turned, unable to sleep. The next morning, not wanting to trouble Li Xia's mother and daughter anymore, Lu Zhiang and Fu Xiaosi rushed home early.

They also drew cute images on Li Xia's naive photos, making Li Xia very happy. Fu Xiaosi returned home with his tired body. Li Yanran's family came to visit early that morning. Li Yanran poured her heart out to Fu Xiaosi, but Fu Xiaosi's heart held the innocent Li Xia. Fu Xiaosi's parents happily entertained Li Yanran's family to welcome the New Year. Fu's father suddenly received a work call and had to leave.

Fu's mother couldn't understand why Fu's father had to be busy with work even on a festive day like Lunar New Year, causing her to lose face. Fu's father was also helpless, and the two had a fierce conflict. Li Yanran's mother, not wanting Fu Xiaosi's mother to be embarrassed and fall into endless arguments, took the initiative to leave first. Li Yanran reminded Fu Xiaosi to pay more attention to his parents' emotions.

Fu Xiaosi secretly approached his parents, only to hear them arguing. Fu's mother warned Fu's father that if he left the house today, he shouldn't think about stepping back in. Fu Xiaosi cautiously walked into the living room, but Fu's mother sternly reprimanded him. She knew that Fu Xiaosi was lying to her, and she couldn't understand why her most cherished and beloved son had also learned to deceive her.

Coupled with Fu's father's constant immersion in work and little concern for the family, their family couldn't even have a decent, lively New Year's gathering. Fu's mother completely broke down and, in a fit of anger, left the house, leaving the father and son to fend for themselves at home. Fu's mother's angry departure left Fu Xiaosi and Fu's father unable to manage even basic daily life.

Starving, the father and son proactively went to the kitchen to figure out how to satisfy their hunger. Fu's father, with a confident look, impressively made egg-fried rice, but due to his clumsy tossing skills, he splattered Fu Xiaosi all over. The father and son's predicament was indescribable. Helpless and disheveled, the two could only rely on instant noodles to fill their stomachs.

Fu Xiaosi couldn't help but ask his father how he had initially confirmed his feelings for his mother, because in his heart, he was unsure if his feelings for Li Xia were true love. In life, we often don't bother to give much attention to things and people we take for granted, until one day we suddenly lose them, and only then do we realize how indispensable they are. And more important than survival itself, is heartfelt intention.
