The next day, Daoming Zhuang rushed back to confront her mother, Daoming Feng. She questioned Daoming Feng’s cruelty, highlighting that both Daoming Si and Shancai were on a hunger strike, refusing to eat or drink. Daoming Feng, however, retorted by recalling Daoming Zhuang's past failed elopement, suggesting that she had saved her from a weak man and prevented her from making a mistake.
Daoming Zhuang firmly stated that Shancai was braver than she was, and that Shancai and Daoming Si would find greater happiness. She insisted that Daoming Feng was not seeing Daoming Si's true path, but rather the path of her own company, and provocatively asked why she didn't have more children to "sell" when the company faced crises.
Daoming Feng, exhausted, maintained that her role extended beyond being just a mother and that her decisions were for the company's and Daoming Si's well-being. Daoming Zhuang then went to see Daoming Si, who was weak and bedridden but still determined to continue his hunger strike. He told his sister that he was doing this to demonstrate his serious commitment to Shancai and their love to their mother.
Daoming Si expressed joy that Shancai was standing with him in this fight, and Daoming Zhuang shared his happiness, acknowledging that he had found someone to make him truly happy. Meanwhile, Huaze Lei, Ximen, and Meizuo had been investigating the Daoming Group's financial situation. They discovered that years of rapid expansion had led to significant losses, pushing the company into a severe crisis.
They realized that Daoming Feng’s desperate attempt to arrange a marriage between Daoming Si and Xiaozizi was a last resort, hoping to merge with Xiaozizi's family company to save the Daoming Group from collapse. Huaze Lei, recalling Daoming Si's past brilliance in business, believed that Daoming Si possessed a secret plan that could turn the company around. He suggested they check Daoming Si's email for clues.
After obtaining his email address, they guessed the password was Shancai’s birthday, revealing Daoming Si’s simple nature and deep affection. Witnessing the ongoing struggle, Xiaozizi made a definitive decision. She told Meizuo that she would stand with Shancai, unwilling to be a pawn in Daoming Feng’s schemes. Shancai, still enduring the elements outside the Daoming mansion, drew strength from within, reminding herself that she must persist for Daoming Si, the man who loved her with his life.
Daoming Zhuang made one last plea to Daoming Feng, urging her to yield before both Daoming Si and Shancai suffered irreversible harm. However, Daoming Feng remained unyielding, stating that their disobedience was the cause of their suffering, and dramatically claimed that she too was dying from her ungrateful children's actions. Just then, F4 and Xiaozizi entered.
Xiaozizi bravely informed Daoming Feng that she would absolutely not marry Daoming Si, a decision her parents fully supported, with her father prepared to call Daoming Feng to confirm. Huaze Lei then handed Daoming Feng an important document: Daoming Si’s hidden business plan. Upon reading the plan, Daoming Feng was shocked and finally conceded. She abandoned her insistence on the arranged marriage and agreed to give Daoming Si a chance to prove himself.
Ms. Yu and Xiaozizi immediately went to inform Shancai that the ordeal was over. Shancai, barely able to stand, made her way towards Daoming Si's room. As she entered, Daoming Si, equally frail, reached out to her. Before she could respond, Shancai fainted, experiencing vivid flashbacks of all their shared moments – the laughter, tears, joy, and pain – deeply etched in her memory. Daoming Si, seeing her unconscious, was heartbroken.
Earlier, a simple question from Shancai about Schumpeter's creative destruction theory, coupled with her look of admiration, had ignited a new vision in Daoming Si. He realized that merely knowing a theory was different from truly understanding and implementing it. This inspiration, combined with his desire to earn Shancai's continued admiration, pushed him to become truly exceptional beyond his family's wealth. He decided to launch a "business incubation platform," which he called the "Dream Hug Plan."
This ambitious plan aimed to revitalize the Daoming Group by fostering innovation across diverse sectors, from artificial intelligence to everyday products like sauces, to help individuals bravely embrace their dreams and create market miracles. He had confidence in the plan and his trustworthy brothers to help him achieve it. Daoming Feng was overjoyed by Daoming Si's ingenuity and maturity. Overwhelmed with pride and exhaustion, she fainted and slept for seven continuous days.
Upon waking, Daoming Zhuang reassured her that she could now finally rest, as Daoming Si was capable of handling the company. True to its promise, Daoming Si's "Dream Hug Plan" quickly gained immense traction, attracting support and investment from numerous financial giants. The Shenzhen Tencent Technology Platform even offered the Baoyi Building as a future incubation hub for entrepreneurs, successfully rescuing the Daoming Group from its crisis.
Some time later, Shancai remembered her promise to see Huaze Lei off before he went abroad. She arrived at the designated location only to find it closed. Confused, she called Ximen, who informed her that she was a day late; Huaze Lei and Daoming Si had already departed for London. Ximen then startlingly claimed that Shancai had suffered amnesia, that she had rejected Daoming Si, and that he had subsequently married Xiaozizi and left for London with her.
Distraught and refusing to believe it, Shancai turned to rush to the airport, but as she did, she was suddenly knocked unconscious. Shancai awoke to find herself in a white wedding dress. Daoming Si approached her, repeating his initial, arrogant declaration from when they first met, offering her a privileged life if she would be his woman. Shancai, frustrated by his familiar haughtiness, rejected his proposition, calling him a conceited jerk with a ridiculous pineapple head.
Daoming Si, in turn, threatened her with regret if she left him, calling her troublesome. As he turned to walk away, Shancai desperately called out to him not to leave. The scene then shifted into a dreamlike montage of their tumultuous relationship, filled with intense arguments, tears, and moments of fierce devotion. Daoming Zhuang and Xiaozizi, wearing uniforms, then appeared and performed a lively dance. Afterwards, Daoming Zhuang offered to summon Daoming Si for Shancai, but instead, F3—Ximen, Meizuo, and Huaze Lei—appeared, leaving Shancai to choose one as her lifelong partner.
