Shancai was on a date with Daoming Si, but it was interrupted when Mrs. Wang next door asked Shancai's mother to look after her son, Long, for the day. Since Shancai's parents were away buying goods in Hangzhou, Shancai had no choice but to bring the adorable little boy, Long, along. Daoming Si was furious that Shancai was late and brought a child on their date, transforming it into a trip to the zoo.
He complained loudly, but Long, in turn, scolded Daoming Si for yelling at a woman, calling him ungentlemanly. Daoming Si snapped back, calling Long a brat, but Shancai defended the child, insisting they bring him along since he was alone. As they walked through the zoo, Long exclaimed that Daoming Si was uglier than a monkey, prompting Daoming Si to angrily declare himself more handsome. Shancai patiently explained to Long about goats, their milk, and the dangers of riding them.
Daoming Si eventually warmed up to the fun, even putting Long on his shoulders so the boy could get a better view of a tiger. Long, delighted, commented on the tiger's majesty, to which Shancai explained that felines purr when happy. Long, however, turned to Daoming Si and playfully declared him a "canine" for not knowing.
By the end of the day, Long fell asleep on Daoming Si's back, who then took the opportunity to hold Shancai's hand, a gesture she didn't refuse. Their tender moment was shattered when Long suddenly wet his pants, staining Daoming Si's clothes. Already annoyed from an argument, Daoming Si’s temper flared, and he impulsively dropped Long, ending their second date on a sour note. Shancai, angry at Daoming Si's irrational behavior, took Long home.
Long was deeply embarrassed and cried, thinking he could never face Shancai again. Shancai comforted him with a strawberry cake. Long, however, surprised her by remarking that Daoming Si was "not bad" and reminded him of his own father when he carried him. Shancai conceded that Daoming Si had his good moments, being simple and impulsive like a child, but confessed she couldn't help but argue with him.
When Long's mother picked him up, Long made Shancai promise not to tell about his accident, but Shancai accidentally blurted it out. Long was initially furious but then declared he would get "revenge" on Daoming Si after mastering a game, prompting Shancai to reflect on Daoming Si's earlier, seemingly unprovoked, words. Meanwhile, Zhou Caina visited the restaurant where Tian Ye worked.
She observed him meticulously preparing dishes, describing their signature "Hot Lobster" and "Steak" with unique sauces that require precise timing. Witnessing his dedication to his craft, Zhou Caina realized that his desired life as a chef was not the sophisticated life she envisioned for herself. She promptly called her father, explaining that Tian Ye was not the man she wanted, as their lifestyles and aspirations were incompatible, and she canceled their engagement.
As she left, she dropped a glove, which Meizuo picked up. He playfully refused to return it, insisting she buy him a drink. After some teasing banter about their respective "greed" and "stinginess" – with Meizuo complimenting her cooking competition crab dish and expressing admiration for her victory – Zhou Caina agreed to treat him to a drink. At the bar, Meizuo's friend, the bartender, was tasked with creating unique drinks based on their wishes.
Zhou Caina requested a drink that would prevent her from encountering people who demand favors after returning lost items. Meizuo, in turn, requested a drink that would lead him to encounter more "cute but proud women." Meizuo, finding his drink bitter, remarked that loving a cute and proud woman would be equally bitter. Later, while playing bridge, Ximen and Meizuo joked about their holidays. Huaze Lei mentioned he spent his vacation sleeping and playing games.
When asked about his date with Shancai, Daoming Si's agitated reaction revealed they had argued again. The F4 members (excluding Daoming Si) concluded that Daoming Si lacked the ability to navigate a relationship and would end up lonely if they didn't intervene. They decided to help him. They visited the milk tea shop where Shancai and Xiaoyou worked. The girls were worried about poor sales due to the cold weather, fearing they wouldn't receive their bonuses.
Seeing their plight, Ximen, Meizuo, and Huaze Lei stepped outside to promote the shop, using their charm to attract a crowd of customers. Their efforts were wildly successful, leading to record sales, and the owner happily gave Shancai and Xiaoyou their overdue bonuses. Grateful, Shancai offered to treat them to dinner. Instead, Ximen proposed a New Year's trip to Daoming Si's beautiful wooden villa in Canada, which Meizuo confirmed had all food and lodging covered.
Xiaoyou was thrilled, having never traveled abroad, but Shancai hesitated, still awkward after her intense fight with Daoming Si. Despite Shancai's indecision, Ximen preemptively called her parents, who were overjoyed at the prospect of her traveling and gaining new experiences, reminding her to bring back smoked salmon and maple syrup. Shancai's parents assured her not to worry about family matters or work, encouraging her to enjoy her time with friends. Xiaoyou eagerly supported the trip.
While Shancai was still contemplating, Daoming Si called, demanding to know if she was going to Canada. He sternly forbade her from going, arguing she was afraid of the cold, couldn't ski, and wouldn't enjoy herself. His forceful tone, however, only solidified Shancai's resolve; she defiantly declared she would go, happily, just to spite him. Daoming Si childishly retorted that if she went, he wouldn't, and threatened to leave her alone to face wild animals.
Shancai shot back that she'd rather face a beast than him and bid him a final goodbye. The other F4 members, observing Daoming Si's predictable bluff, knew he'd eventually follow. To further irritate Daoming Si, Shancai and Xiaoyou took celebratory photos and posted them on QQ Space. Daoming Si, seeing their post, furiously smashed his phone. Meanwhile, jealous classmates Xinhui and Baihe saw Shancai's post.
Interpreting a vague comment on her social media as a dig at them, they confronted Shancai and subtly manipulated her into inviting them along to Canada. Unbeknownst to the others, Daoming Si had already flown to Canada ahead of the group, seemingly to spite Shancai. Days later, the group arrived in Canada, a beautiful snow-covered landscape. They headed to Daoming Si's luxurious wooden villa in the mountains.
Shancai eagerly rushed inside, only to find Daoming Si already there, sitting by the fireplace, nonchalantly enjoying ice cream and confirming his earlier bluff. Meizuo and Huaze Lei playfully teased Daoming Si for arriving before them. Daoming Si and Shancai immediately resumed their bickering, with Daoming Si calling her a "stupid girl" for coming, and Shancai accusing him of being unreliable. Huaze Lei tried to mediate, urging them to get along.
Outside, Shancai and Xiaoyou, excited about their first overseas trip, happily played in the snow, building a snowman and engaging in a snowball fight. Daoming Si watched them through the window, a smile creeping onto his face as their joyful antics seemed to lighten his mood. As Shancai re-entered the villa, Daoming Si playfully blocked her path, causing her to stumble and fall.
He laughed at her, calling her a fool, which only further enraged Shancai, though Huaze Lei observed their constant fighting with growing concern for their relationship. That evening, after her shower, Shancai messaged Xiaoyou to return for hers. While waiting, she chatted on the phone with her father, who admired the snowy Canadian scenery she had sent and reminded her to bring back smoked salmon and maple syrup. As time passed and Xiaoyou didn't return, Shancai grew increasingly worried.
Daoming Si, playing a game on his phone, noticed Shancai had left and angrily muttered about his "stupid teammate" abandoning the game. Shancai searched the villa for Xiaoyou, asking Huaze Lei, who hadn't seen her. She then approached Xinhui and Baihe, asking if they knew where Xiaoyou was. After a moment's hesitation, Xinhui and Baihe lied, claiming Xiaoyou had gone out alone to see the night view and might get lost in the heavy snow.
Alarmed by the severe weather and Xiaoyou's unfamiliarity with the area, Shancai immediately donned her coat and rushed outside to search for her. Huaze Lei, concerned, quickly followed Shancai into the snowy night. Baihe expressed worry that Shancai had actually gone out, but Xinhui dismissed it, confident Huaze Lei would handle the situation. Unbeknownst to them, Xiaoyou was happily in the villa's wine cellar with Ximen and Meizuo, tasting various wines.
Ximen taught her about different types, like Merlot, smoked wine, brandy (Meizuo's favorite), and pure malt whiskey (Daoming Si's favorite), explaining how tastes and aging varied. Xiaoyou, delighted, sampled some, though she found one "really astringent" and "a bit sour," preferring the sweeter Merlot. As dinner time approached, they decided to bring two bottles upstairs.
Daoming Si, frustrated by Shancai's absence from the game, was searching for her when Huaze Lei returned, having not found Shancai, and informed Daoming Si that Shancai had gone looking for Xiaoyou, who was supposedly out night-viewing. Just then, Xiaoyou, Ximen, and Meizuo emerged from the wine cellar. The truth dawned on Daoming Si: Xinhui and Baihe had lied, and Shancai was now alone and in grave danger in the blizzard. He immediately rushed out into the snow to find her.
