Unexpectedly, before the battle could even commence, Zhenshui Wuxiang and Enchantress Xiao Yu promptly retreated, giving Yixiao Naihe and Luwei Weiwei an uncontested victory.
Weiwei found their opponents' swift withdrawal amusing and questioned if they were indeed that intimidating, to which Yixiao Naihe jokingly attributed it to his wife's fearsome reputation. In their second match, Yixiao Naihe and Luwei Weiwei encountered Zhan Tianxia and Chief Diemeng. Luwei Weiwei recognized Chief Diemeng as a former guild leader and friend from her past, who had entrusted the leadership of their old guild, Blue Sea Tidal Pavilion, to Zhan Tianxia.
Yixiao Naihe and Luwei Weiwei secured another effortless win. Following the match, Chief Diemeng initiated a private chat with Weiwei. The in-game spectators buzzed with speculation about their absence. This unexpected turn meant that Yixiao Naihe and Luwei Weiwei won the server championship by default, securing their place to represent their server in the all-region elimination rounds. As they were leaving a restaurant, the girls were captivated by the sight of Xiao Nai concluding a business meeting. Weiwei couldn't help but wonder if he had looked her way. Her friends also discussed a rumor about Xiao Nai's company facing issues with investors, a surprising development given his reputation. At the same time, Xiao Nai, Yu Banshan, and Hao Mei were discussing their successful negotiation while driving.
Yu Banshan proudly highlighted how someone had attempted to obstruct their financing, commending Xiao Nai's foresight. Meanwhile, at the hospital, Hao Mei and Qiu Yonghou arrived to find a distraught Yu Banshan, blaming himself for the car accident that had left Xiao Nai in the emergency room. Yu Banshan tearfully recounted how Xiao Nai had pushed him out of harm's way, saving him from severe injury. Qiu Yonghou tried to comfort Yu Banshan, assuring him that Xiao Nai was "too evil" for any real harm to befall him.
After an agonizing wait, the operating room doors opened. The doctor emerged, shaking his head, which initially struck terror into Yu Banshan, Hao Mei, and Qiu Yonghou, who feared the worst. Some time later, Xiao Nai finally regained consciousness. His friends and parents expressed immense relief, and Yu Banshan again apologized to Xiao Nai's parents for the accident, to which Xiao Nai’s mother responded with understanding, stating it was an unforeseen event.
After playfully confirming Xiao Nai's mental lucidity, Xiao Nai's first concern was the game final. He immediately instructed his friends to log into "A Chinese Ghost Story" and inform Weiwei about his accident, worried that she might have waited for him all night.
