Preoccupied with Xinxin’s words, Qiao Na sat alone in her office, lost in thought as she recalled memories of working alongside Yuan Shuai. An old photo of them together showed them smiling brightly. Having made up her mind, Qiao Na went to Yuan Shuai’s office, pretending that Hezhong's Mr. Wu wanted to invite them to dinner to catch up. Yuan Shuai agreed to meet that evening.

As she left, Qiao Na told Yuan Shuai to dress warmly, as it was cold outside. Meanwhile, Du Lei stood by his father's hospital bed. Seeing his father's face, he was flooded with childhood memories of strict discipline. Even high scores were met with physical punishment if they weren't perfect, leaving Du Lei with a look of fear.

When his father finally awoke, Du Lei began formally reporting on the company's current situation, noting that rumors about his father were affecting morale, but he had arranged for a face-to-face interview with a reporter to clear the air. His father, in a weak voice, asked him to come closer, claiming he couldn't hear well. Du Lei continued to recount the measures he had taken, assuring his father that he had stabilized the competition and would handle everything.

Unexpectedly, Du Lei's father softened, thanking him for helping the family through the crisis. Du Lei, cold and distant, insisted he wasn't helping his father but merely doing what he had to do. He demanded that if his father truly wanted to thank him, he should agree to sever all ties between them.

His father then confessed he still didn't understand why, after his biological son's death, he adopted a child born on the same day and year to be his substitute, admitting it was a regrettable decision. He offered to go to court with Du Lei to legally end their relationship once he was discharged.

Overcome with emotion but trying to remain stoic, Du Lei could only manage a quiet "Thank you" before leaving the room, his body trembling as he struggled to hold back tears. Xu Li and Xiaochuan reviewed the video from the offline dating event. Xu Li expressed doubts about Yuan Shuai and Jiang Jun being a compatible pair, questioning the accuracy of Xiaochuan's app.

Xiaochuan, however, confidently asserted that his West World matching system was flawless and that Yuan Shuai and Jiang Jun would definitely end up together. Xu Li then asked about a hypothetical pair with a one-percent match. Xiaochuan firmly declared that such a low percentage meant it was impossible for them to be together, as they were completely unsuitable.

Xu Li, who had secretly tested her own compatibility with Xiaochuan and found it to be very low, was annoyed but kept her feelings to herself. Jiang Jun returned to the office, complaining about the cold weather after delivering documents. Yuan Shuai, seeing her, messaged her to come to his office. Though still feigning annoyance from her earlier "teasing" at noon, he showed concern for her cold hands, inviting her to warm them.

He denied being petty, claiming he was only worried about her health affecting her work. They then discussed the possibility of the first snow falling that night. Jiang Jun suggested they celebrate with a hot pot dinner at home, to which Yuan Shuai eagerly agreed. Yuan Shuai mentioned he had an appointment but would try to get home early.

Jiang Jun teased him about his questionable cooking skills, but he playfully assured her that this time, she would be moved to tears. Later that evening, Jiang Jun bought a large array of ingredients and meticulously prepared everything for the hot pot. However, as time ticked by, she kept glancing at the clock and the unmoving door, but Yuan Shuai was nowhere to be seen. At the restaurant, Yuan Shuai found Qiao Na waiting alone.

She admitted she had fabricated the client meeting, wanting to invite him herself. Qiao Na began asking Yuan Shuai about love, wondering if he believed in eternal love. He confirmed he did, like most people, believing a momentary impulse could become eternal. She then directly asked if such a moment could exist between them.

Yuan Shuai unequivocally replied, "No." When Qiao Na pressed for an explanation, citing that everyone considered them the perfect match, Yuan Shuai gently explained that while she was his best work partner and a true friend, there was no possibility of a romantic relationship between them. Visibly distraught, Qiao Na accidentally knocked over a glass of water, spilling it on Yuan Shuai. He excused himself to the restroom to clean up, leaving a frustrated Qiao Na alone at the table.

Back at the apartment, Jiang Jun was sitting with Wealth, the dog. The hot pot was boiling, but the table was empty except for her and the dog. Her mood sank as Yuan Shuai remained absent. Feeling she needed an excuse to call him, she decided to pretend they had run out of vinegar. When she called, Qiao Na answered Yuan Shuai's phone, coldly informing Jiang Jun that Mr. Yuan was busy and telling her not to call again.

Mistaking Qiao Na for Yuan Shuai's girlfriend, Jiang Jun was shocked and furious. Back home, she angrily dumped all the prepared food into the hot pot, declaring, "Who cares if you don't come back? I'll eat it myself! You'll be sorry!" Yuan Shuai returned to the table, preparing to leave the restaurant. Qiao Na, her possessiveness triggered by Jiang Jun's call, stopped him, demanding to know if he was going to meet another girl.

Yuan Shuai calmly stated that his affairs were his own business. Qiao Na pressed him, asking if he truly didn't feel anything for her after all these years and if she wasn't good enough for him. Yuan Shuai expressed regret, saying he didn't want to hurt her but had already fallen for someone else. Qiao Na, incredulous, questioned his claim, noting he had never had a girl by his side since she knew him.

She then asked if it was the girl from the company who constantly bothered him. Yuan Shuai clarified that his feelings for this person were his own and had nothing to do with her, refusing to reveal her identity. Qiao Na then made a desperate plea: if the person he loved didn't return his feelings, would he turn around and consider her? Yuan Shuai firmly refused, stating he would never look at anyone else but his beloved.

Qiao Na mocked him, calling the "invincible general" a coward for not daring to confess his love, unlike her who had the courage to speak up. Yuan Shuai, unwilling to waste any more time, walked out, determined to rush home to the person he truly loved. Outside, the first snow of the year began to fall.

Xu Li excitedly called Xiaochuan to join her, and they unconsciously embraced amidst the snowflakes before abruptly pulling away, both feeling a sudden flutter in their hearts. Elsewhere, Qiao Na walked out of the restaurant, sad and alone under the falling snow. Her woes were compounded when she received a call from a client, Mr. Feng, demanding an urgent financing proposal by daybreak, despite earlier agreeing to a week's deadline.

Overwhelmed by professional and emotional setbacks, Qiao Na dejectedly sat on a street bench. Meanwhile, Du Lei left his company and met Du Lin. As they walked together in the snow-covered plaza, reminiscing about their childhood, Du Lin confessed her feelings for him, explaining that now that he was no longer part of the Du family, they were no longer siblings and could explore a romantic relationship. Du Lei’s smile vanished, and he froze in place, stunned.

Back at home, Jiang Jun was still fuming, calling Yuan Shuai a dishonest, hypocritical playboy who led her on. She resented him for occupying half of her house, her sofa, her living room, her bedroom, and even her wardrobe. In a fit of anger, she started to clear out his clothes from her closet. As she did, she discovered a hidden box. Opening it, a flood of memories returned. Inside were old photos and a Rubik's Cube.

She then realized that Wealth, the dog currently by her side, was the same dog she and Yuan Shuai had rescued years ago. Deeper in the box, she found her old speech draft and a heartfelt love letter written by Yuan Shuai. Reading it, she discovered his long-held secret crush on her. The letter, signed "Brother Yuanyuan," detailed his reluctance to leave her to study abroad and his wish for her to call him if she was sad or bullied.

She recalled past conversations where she teased him about his "secret crush," unaware it was her. The past and present finally connected, and every word and action of Yuan Shuai replayed in her mind. Her eyes welled up, and she rushed out of the house to find him. At the same time, Yuan Shuai, having left Qiao Na, was trying to reach Jiang Jun by phone as he hurried home. They finally met under the colorful string lights downstairs.

As the first snow continued to fall heavily, Yuan Shuai could no longer hold back and poured out his confession. Jiang Jun, now understanding the truth, was overwhelmed with emotion. The "100% matched" pair finally expressed their true feelings, a culmination of long-suppressed emotions. They leaned in for a passionate kiss amidst the falling snow, then embraced tightly, their hearts overflowing with happiness. Alone, Du Lei stood by his window, watching the swirling snowflakes.

He thought back to his conversation with Du Lin. Recalling her hopeful expression, he softly rejected her, explaining that while they could be any kind of relationship, they could not be lovers because he already had someone he liked.
