Su Chang could only improvise, claiming Jiang Jun was the daughter of their top boss and Yuan Shuai was Jiang Jun's "kept man." Though his girlfriend remained skeptical, Su Chang repeatedly emphasized that she shouldn’t go looking for Jiang Jun again. Meanwhile, Xu Li happened to overhear their conversation as she passed by. Listening to her, the therapist deduced that Du Lin’s strong need for control influenced her behavior toward Du Lei, making him feel she was no different from those who had manipulated him before.
Du Lin fell into deep thought at the therapist’s words. Jiang Jun rushed back, but by then, Yuan Shuai had grown impatient and went to the rooftop for some air—only to stumble upon Su Chang and Xin Xin in a sweet moment.
