Yu Tu attended a gathering with colleagues from the research institute. He learned that Guan Zai was going through a divorce with his wife due to work stress and that he was also planning to resign. Everyone was reluctant to see him go and wished him a bright future. They all understood it would be hard to meet again.

Yu Tu turned down their invitation to go sing and instead returned to downstairs of Jingjing’s apartment, inviting her to go out with him. When Jingjing received Yu Tu’s call, her eyes sparkled. She quickly changed clothes and went out with him. Yu Tu took her to the movies. Jingjing picked an animated film. Because of her celebrity status, they couldn’t enter the cinema together.

She picked up the tickets and left one on the table for Yu Tu, then went in alone. Yu Tu took the ticket and joined her inside, teasing her a little and sitting beside her. As they watched the movie—which was about dreamers—Jingjing was reminded of Yu Tu’s dream being changed due to his parents' opposition. She felt a bit guilty, not knowing the movie’s plot beforehand.

After the movie, Jingjing asked about Yu Tu’s dreams and learned that his parents had actually agreed to him joining the aerospace institute back when he was in grad school. But recently, his parents came to Shanghai for medical treatment, and he saw them eating instant noodles in a shabby little motel. That moment filled him with guilt—he realized he had the ability to give his parents a better life but had selfishly clung to his dream.

He decided to change careers and do his best to provide his parents with the best life and healthcare possible. Yu Tu admitted that he had always thought he was smart, but now at thirty, he felt he had achieved nothing. He planned to start over and return to investment banking. Seeing him laugh self-deprecatingly, Jingjing’s heart ached for him.

Back home, Yu Tu recalled seeing his parents living frugally in that little motel and not even daring to disturb him while he was on duty. Guilt overwhelmed him. At that moment, Jingjing sent him a message, saying that the line “But you’re already a rabbit that has seen the stars” suited him perfectly. She comforted him, saying he wasn’t a failure. All his efforts and contributions had value. In her heart, Yu Tu was the best.

A photo of Jingjing watching a movie alone on Singles’ Day was taken by paparazzi. After seeing it, Ling Jie suggested that maybe Jingjing should consider dating someone. In her mind, only Yu Tu’s image surfaced. Yu Tu continued teaching her to play games as promised. One day, they watched a livestream together in the media room. Suddenly, the big screen broke, and Yu Tu personally fixed the power board for her. While doing so, Ling Jie called.

Jingjing had originally scheduled to meet Director Li the next afternoon, but his plans changed. Ling Jie had to reschedule it to this afternoon and was already on her way with the stylist and makeup artist.
