You Are My Glory Episode 6 Recap
> You Are My Glory Recap
One morning, Jingjing woke up and saw Yu Tu asking what she would like for breakfast via WeChat. She smiled and told him that anything would be fine. Yu Tu had already bought breakfast, but Jingjing decided to brew some coffee for him. Her assistant, Xiao Zhu, called and pointed out that Yu Tu’s attitude seemed to have changed ever since Jingjing helped him out the other day. Jingjing believed it was simply gratitude, as she had kept him company.
Xiao Zhu teased her about posting dozens of selfies in the group chat that day, but Jingjing explained it was her "high EQ" strategy to help Yu Tu relax. Soon after, Yu Tu arrived with a low-calorie breakfast, which was a welcome change, as Jingjing had criticized his previous high-calorie choices. Jingjing praised him for being a quick learner, to which Yu Tu humbly replied that he merely used addition.
She then told him to get the coffee she had made for him in the kitchen. When Yu Tu saw the coffee, he chuckled, noting that while he appreciated the gesture, he couldn't quite make out the rabbit she had drawn on the foam, calling it "three parabolic lines." Jingjing insisted the ears were "so obvious" and accused him of lacking artistic perception. During breakfast, they discussed Jingjing’s gaming skills.
Yu Tu stated that based on her recent matches, she should give up playing as a Jungler. He suggested that her most suitable positions were Marksman, Mage, and Support. For Mage, he recommended Angela, Ganjiang Moye, and Xiao Qiao due to their long ranges. For Support, he listed Donghuang Taiyi, Zhang Fei, Niumo, and Zhuang Zhou, citing their high fault tolerance and simple abilities.
As for Marksman, he noted her preference for Yu Ji, whose third skill is effective and second skill helps her escape. He also complimented her accuracy with Yu Ji’s first skill, though he playfully remarked that she never abandoned unfamiliar teammates but would readily sacrifice him, which she attributed to "faith" in him. Jingjing expressed a desire for more "flashy" or "cool" heroes. Yu Tu suggested Baili Shouyue, known for his long-range sniping, noting Jingjing’s good aim.
He pointed out that her previous game with Yu Ji wasn't good because her teammates took resources, and her sidestepping needed improvement. Yu Tu also candidly critiqued her performance with Sun Shangxiang and Marco Polo as "beyond words." Jingjing called him harsh, mentioning how his past comments about her Nakoruru play ("like a moth to a flame") had spread throughout her studio.
Yu Tu clarified that he was merely being objective, then explained that beyond sidestepping, Jingjing primarily lacked map awareness, constantly asking basic questions during games. To address this, Yu Tu outlined a rigorous training schedule: half a day of practical matches and half a day of watching professional games. He illustrated strategies on paper, explaining that before each game, she needed to assess team compositions, predict enemy actions, and plan her own moves.
He concluded that she would only "pass" once she could anticipate her opponents' next actions. Jingjing playfully complained about his "merciless, demanding, and deadly serious" approach, lamenting that if he had tutored her in math during high school, she might have attended Tsinghua University and become "one of the most educated actresses" in the entertainment industry. Yu Tu assumed she was doing it for her fans, but Jingjing inwardly dismissed that notion.
Before Yu Tu left, Jingjing mentioned she would be away tomorrow in Jiangsu for a Double 11 gala and would take a day off from training. She invited him to watch her sing, though her segment would be late. Yu Tu asked her to send him a message before she went on stage, and Jingjing teased him, calling him a "VIP" for wanting a reminder. He responded, "Respect your teacher," and she playfully complied, "All right, Mr. Yu."
Back at his apartment, Yu Tu encountered Zhai Liang, who was preparing to go to Hangzhou to visit his friend Dragon King for a couple of days and invited Yu Tu to join. Yu Tu declined, explaining that he wasn't as free as Zhai Liang, and handed him breakfast to eat on the way. Zhai Liang commented on Yu Tu’s recent strange behavior of leaving early and returning late.
Later, Yu Tu received a message from his senior, inviting him to dinner to discuss work. Yu Tu accepted and arrived on time. During their meal, his senior praised Yu Tu’s extensive knowledge, especially in aerospace materials, and asked him to share some cutting-edge research papers. He reiterated his desire for Yu Tu to join his team, highlighting two upcoming projects that required an analyst with Yu Tu’s expertise.
He acknowledged Yu Tu needed time to consider, having promised his professor to decide within a month, and assured him he wouldn't rush him. The senior then raised a toast, wishing Yu Tu an early "return to Earth." During dinner, Jingjing messaged Yu Tu, saying she was bored and wanted to play a game. Yu Tu replied he was with his senior and would need 30 minutes.
His senior noticed the message and playfully remarked on Yu Tu’s enduring charm, recalling how popular Yu Tu was with the ladies at his company and how he made their university football team the "most watched" on campus. Yu Tu joked if he was recruited solely for his looks, and his senior affirmed that good looks were indeed a talent.
The senior also asked about Yu Tu’s single status, expressing surprise given his eligibility, but Yu Tu confirmed he was still single. When his senior invited him to a bar with friends after dinner, Yu Tu declined, stating he had other plans. His senior quipped that a handsome guy's nightlife was always eventful. Yu Tu finished dinner, declined the bar invitation, and found a quiet spot outside the restaurant to play games with Jingjing.
During their first match, Yu Tu played Niumo while Jingjing played Marksman. Jingjing complained that Niumo was harder to play than Zhang Fei. Yu Tu said he would record the game for a later review. In the team voice chat, a teammate playfully remarked that Jingjing’s character was worse than his own girlfriend's, to which Jingjing retorted that he wasn't as good as her boyfriend.
She declared she had to win the argument, then defused a frustrated teammate who wanted to quit because it was Singles' Day and he was annoyed by couples. Jingjing corrected him that Singles' Day was tomorrow, reassuring him to continue playing, which led to their victory. After the win, Yu Tu initially wanted to decline another match, but Jingjing accepted an invitation from a player in their last game and pulled Yu Tu along.
Yu Tu indulged her, joining a new match where their former teammate played Marco Polo to show off, while Yu Tu selected Li Bai. Jingjing, anticipating Yu Tu's impressive performance, muted her team's voice chat to prevent her staff from "fangirling." Yu Tu, despite claiming he rarely played Li Bai, effortlessly secured a Penta Kill, leaving everyone in awe. When their teammate playing Marco Polo expressed that his pride was hurt, Jingjing encouraged him, saying "darling, you're the best."
Yu Tu alone contributed over 40% of their team's damage output, securing another easy victory. After the game, Yu Tu sent Jingjing a message but quickly recalled it, leaving her to wonder what it said. The next day, Jingjing was visibly distracted during their game review session. Yu Tu replayed the previous match where Jingjing played Niumo, pointing out her premature engagement and explaining Niumo’s role as a counter-engager.
Jingjing, still bothered by the recalled message, directly asked him why he retracted it. Yu Tu subtly changed the subject by suggesting they watch professional Niumo gameplay. Jingjing complained about having to practice on Singles' Day with "ugly" heroes like Niumo, wishing for cooler choices. She then tried to deflect again, claiming her laptop screen was too small to see team fights clearly and suggesting they use her multimedia room instead.
Yu Tu joked about her "assassin-level speed" for finding excuses. Yu Tu declined the offer to use her multimedia room, explaining he had a colleague's gathering that evening to discuss work-related matters. Jingjing expressed envy that she was stuck indoors while he could go out. Before leaving, Yu Tu instructed her to continue practicing Niumo and Zhang Fei. Jingjing, feeling resigned, muttered that she wished she could go out with him.
Yu Tu glanced at her and asked, "If I invited you, would you dare to go?" He then said, "Have fun. See you tomorrow," and left, leaving Jingjing in deep thought.
