The first thing Jingjing saw upon waking was Yu Tu asking what she wanted for breakfast. Smiling, she told him to bring whatever. She even made coffee for him herself, a rare gesture. Though Jingjing loved food, she was still conscious of her figure as a celebrity and watched her calorie intake. Yu Tu, ever attentive, brought a low-calorie breakfast, and Jingjing praised him, asking him to get the coffee she made. Jingjing seldom did anything herself.

Though she drew a rabbit on the coffee foam, her skills were too rough, and the rabbit looked so unlike a rabbit that Yu Tu didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. During breakfast, Yu Tu analyzed Jingjing’s gaming abilities. He thought she wasn’t suited for the jungler role and was better as a marksman or mage. Jingjing disliked how unattractive some of the marksmen looked, so Yu Tu recommended the hero Baili Shouyue to her.

To help Jingjing grow, Yu Tu explained the game’s strategies, even demonstrating on paper. He suggested that she spend half her day in practice and the other half watching pro matches. Only when she could predict her opponents’ next moves would she be barely qualified. Yu Tu’s serious and high standards reminded Jingjing of high school.

She complained that if Yu Tu had helped her with math back then, she might have gotten into Tsinghua University and become the most academically accomplished actress in the entertainment industry. Hearing that Jingjing wanted to get into Tsinghua for her fans, Yu Tu said her fans would surely be happy. But Jingjing secretly thought to herself that it wasn’t for her fans—it was for herself.

Before Yu Tu left, Jingjing told him she would be performing at the Double Eleven Gala the next day and invited him to watch. Yu Tu simply asked her to message him before she went on stage so he could tune in. Di Liang was planning to visit Long Wang in Hangzhou for a few days and wanted Yu Tu to come. Yu Tu declined. Di Liang found Yu Tu odd lately, always coming and going early and late.

After he left, Yu Tu received a message from a senior and went out to eat. While dining, Jingjing invited him to play a game. Yu Tu declined the senior’s invitation to a bar, then found a bench outside the restaurant to start a match with Jingjing. Both turned on voice chat. Jingjing chatted with her teammates and, during a dispute, accidentally referred to herself and Yu Tu as a couple. They won the game.

Afterward, Yu Tu declined the team’s invite to continue, but Jingjing accepted and dragged Yu Tu along. Yu Tu indulged her and played another match. As a couple, they won again easily. Yu Tu’s skill made Jingjing squeal like a prairie dog. After the match, Yu Tu sent Jingjing a WeChat message, but finding his tone too affectionate, he decided to withdraw it and simply watched Jingjing’s upcoming performance in silence. Jingjing still saw the message Yu Tu had withdrawn.

The next day, she was distracted, wondering why Yu Tu had taken it back. Yu Tu noticed her absent-mindedness and let her off the hook. He had a gathering that evening and was about to leave. Seeing him go out, Jingjing spoke enviously—on this singles’ celebration night, she could only stay in her apartment. Before leaving, Yu Tu looked back at her and said that even if he wanted to take her out, how could someone of her identity go out openly?
