Swords of Legends Episode 30 Recap
> Swords of Legends Recap
Lingyue and Yin Qianshang arrived at the Azure Jade Altar, only to discover that Lei Yan had already departed for Zixian Villa. They confirmed Lei Yan's connection to the ghost-faced man, noting his absence from the Azure Jade Altar three years prior when the ghost-faced man appeared in Anlu Village. At Zixian Villa, Lei Yan blackmailed Shaogong with Xunfang, compelling him to activate the Dragon Scale to locate Yuheng.
Shaogong agreed but specified a twelve-hour duration, with Lei Yan waiting nearby. Tusu, Hong Yu, and Qingxue journeyed to Zixian Villa. En route, Tusu's Sword of Burning Solitude sensed the deep resentment emanating from the villa and began to stir restlessly, responding to an evil energy. Hong Yu cautioned him not to draw the Sword of Burning Solitude should danger arise. Tusu's group later rendezvoused with Lingyue and his companions outside the villa.
Lingyue presented Tusu with a ghost-face mask he had found, which Tusu recognized as Lei Yan's, intensifying his existing resentment. After Tusu was calmed, the combined group entered the villa, which was permeated by an oppressive miasma. The profound resentment within Zixian Villa generated powerful illusions and "nightmares" that ensnared everyone. Yin Qianshang, finding himself back at Hua Man Lou, experienced strange occurrences. Shaogong then took him to a prison, where he was forced to consume Dream Soul Branch seeds.
He awoke in a forest, believing it merely a dream, though Hong Yu questioned him. In another hallucination, Qianshang perceived Shaogong acting against him. Hong Yu intervened, saving him, and noted that this "dream from the heart" indicated Qianshang's underlying wariness of Shaogong. Qingxue, too, was lured into a "nightmare," where she envisioned herself returning to Youdu. There, she witnessed Tusu's evil energy erupt, leading to the demise of her grandmothers and elders.
She was nearly harmed by this illusory Tusu. Yin Qianshang, perceiving her predicament, utilized his spiritual sense to convey that the Tusu was fake. Qingxue then awakened and destroyed the imposter Tusu, causing the illusion to dissipate. Hong Yu and Yin Qianshang approached her with concern. Lingyue also fell victim to a "nightmare," seeing his younger brother Huzi and remaining deeply engrossed in searching for him. Hong Yu, acting as a spirit, eventually saved Lingyue from his illusion.
Tusu's Sword of Burning Solitude, agitated by resentment, drew him into an illusion where he saw himself, Ling Duan, and Zhao Lin coexisting peacefully. In the physical realm, Qingxue's group anxiously searched for Tusu. Qingxue then entered Tusu's illusion, where he was being enticed by a fake master to commit nefarious deeds. Qingxue appeared, awakening Tusu, who subsequently wielded the Sword of Burning Solitude against the fake master, returning to reality.
Tusu's group determined they needed to quickly locate him to prevent further chaos. Lan Sheng and Xiang Ling, concerned for Tusu, secretly left Jiangdu and arrived outside Zixian Villa. Lan Sheng instructed Xiang Ling to wait outside while he ventured in alone. Lan Sheng accidentally stumbled upon Shaogong confronting Lei Yan. Lan Sheng greeted Shaogong, but Lei Yan dispatched guards to apprehend him. Lan Sheng sought protection by hiding behind Shaogong.
Meanwhile, Shaogong was in the process of activating the Dragon Scale to awaken the villa's resentful spirits. However, Lan Sheng's Azure Jade Compass Pendant, which he had quietly brought with him, suddenly reacted. This disruption caused the Dragon Scale's power to extinguish, destroying the resentful spirit illusion of Zixian Villa and simultaneously breaking Lingyue's illusion. The destruction of the initial illusion gave rise to a new one.
Hong Yu explained the situation, and she and Lingyue, now freed from their own illusions, set off to find Tusu's group. They unknowingly entered the villa, observing its luxurious and tidy appearance, and realized it was another illusion, likely controlled by someone. They decided to await Tusu's group before taking action. Tusu's group entered this new illusion, where they were joined by Lingyue and Hong Yu.
They observed Lan Sheng supporting Yue Yan, deducing that this might be Lan Sheng's past life. They opted not to disturb them, fearing Lan Sheng might become permanently trapped in his dream. Within this dream, Lan Sheng referred to Yue Yan as "Wen Jun," and they appeared to be fellow disciples. The group attempted to greet Lan Sheng, but he ignored them, focused on departing with Wen Jun.
The two returned home, where Wen Jun discovered her entire family had been massacred. Her dying father revealed Zixian Villa as the perpetrators and urged Lan Sheng to take Wen Jun away. Tusu's group, having followed them, was astonished by these events, as Lan Sheng vowed revenge against Zixian Villa.
Hong Yu concluded that this was neither the real Lan Sheng nor an illusion he had created, and that Lan Sheng and Yue Yan were unaware of their presence, reinforcing the decision to merely observe.
