> Swords of Legends Recap

Ling Duan and his disciples found themselves in utter chaos after their money pouches mysteriously went missing at an inn, a prank orchestrated by Qing Xue, Lan Sheng, and Xiang Ling. Unable to pay their lodging fees, they were accused by the innkeeper of trying to skip the bill, which quickly escalated into a brawl that left Ling Duan's disciples bruised and expelled from the establishment.

To add to their woes, wanted posters suddenly appeared, falsely accusing Ling Duan of robbery, murder, and arson, forcing him and his followers to flee from the authorities. A disciple suggested they return to Hua Man Lou, suspecting Baili Tusu was there, believing that capturing him would solve their mounting problems. Back at Hua Man Lou, Lan Sheng shared with Xiang Ling a disturbing vision he had experienced.

Using Jin Niang's Dragon's Scale of Divination, which Xiang Ling had secretly acquired, in conjunction with his Green Jade of the South, Lan Sheng had seen two children from his past. In the vision, his father carried one child away, leaving another named Hu Zhi crying. Lan Sheng desperately wanted to try again to understand the identity of the second child. At that moment, Shao Gong appeared and recognized the Dragon's Scale.

Upon learning Xiang Ling had "borrowed" it from Jin Niang, Shao Gong angrily confronted Jin Niang at her door, inferring she had been using the sacred artifact for personal divination. When Jin Niang refused to open her door or speak with him, Shao Gong declared that they would never see each other again and bid her farewell. Inside, a distraught Jin Niang vowed to pursue Shao Gong relentlessly, even to her death.

Meanwhile, Qing Xue received a video call from her Youdu Grandma, who immediately noticed Qing Xue's injuries despite her attempts to cover them up by claiming an upset stomach. Grandma sternly reminded Qing Xue of her duties as the Spiritual Girl and dismissed her search for her long-missing brother, Guang Mo, as a lost cause.

Qing Xue, to prevent her Grandma from sending others to retrieve the Sword of Burning Solitude, lied that she would lead Tu Su away and then retrieve the Sword herself. Tu Su, who had overheard this conversation, was deeply hurt, believing Qing Xue was merely using him to retrieve the Sword. He turned away from her in disappointment, leaving Qing Xue distressed and struggling to explain her true intentions.

Shao Gong then informed Yin Qian Shang of his imminent departure from Jiang Du, and Yin Qian Shang readily agreed to join him, casually remarking that Hua Shang couldn't control him and he would simply coax her later if she was upset, not taking her harsh words seriously. Earlier, Hua Shang had been conversing with Jin Niang. Jin Niang expressed her frustration with Shao Gong's continued emotional distance and also complained that Yin Qian Shang was equally elusive.

Hua Shang shared that while she knew Yin Qian Shang cared for her, she hadn't necessarily aspired to marry him, yet pondered if he would treat her differently if she wasn't her usual self. During this conversation, Jin Niang suddenly felt unwell and sent Hua Shang away to rest. Later, Yin Qian Shang, upon going to Hua Shang's room, found she was gone. Jin Niang suggested that Hua Shang might have left due to Yin Qian Shang's impending departure.

However, his concern turned to grief when Hei Yao brought the devastating news that Hua Shang's body had been recovered from the lake. Overcome with sorrow, Yin Qian Shang and Shao Gong both suspected foul play, as Hua Shang's spirited nature would never allow her to take her own life. Yin Qian Shang resolved to use his spirit-summoning technique to uncover the truth. By the lake, Yin Qian Shang successfully summoned Hua Shang's soul.

With Shao Gong present, Hua Shang tearfully recounted that after delivering medicine to Jin Niang, she had seen Jin Niang's hidden true face before her demise. Before she could name her killer, her spirit faded away. Heartbroken and enraged, Yin Qian Shang was convinced Jin Niang was responsible. He rushed back to Hua Man Lou, only to find Jin Niang had vanished.

Meanwhile, Lan Sheng reported to Tu Su and Shao Gong that both Ling Duan's faction and forces from Qing Yu Tan were converging on their location to capture them. Shao Gong, having recently encountered Lei Yan's subordinate from Qing Yu Tan who demanded he return with the Jade Heng fragments and threatened Xun Fang and Tong Yi (whom Shao Gong then kicked away), quickly devised a plan.

He instructed Lan Sheng to exploit the existing animosity between Ling Duan and Qing Yu Tan, pitting them against each other. Lan Sheng successfully tricked Ling Duan into believing Qing Yu Tan intended to seize Tu Su, sparking a full-scale confrontation between the two groups. While their enemies battled, Tu Su and his companions sought refuge in Peach Blossom Valley. Concerned for Yin Qian Shang, Tu Su expressed his worry, prompting Shao Gong to go in search of him.

Shao Gong found Yin Qian Shang by the lake, consumed by guilt over Hua Shang's death and determined to seek revenge against Jin Niang. Shao Gong then revealed that Jin Niang might have fled to Qing Yu Tan, proposing they go there together to find her. He also disclosed his own urgent need to go to Qing Yu Tan, as both Xun Fang and Tong Yi were being held captive there.
