The rogue leader Li Pan An orchestrated a faux wedding with Fang Ru Qin, but his deception was quickly revealed. Her brother, Fang Lan Sheng, intervened, and Li Pan An was apprehended. Li Pan An confessed to his wrongdoings and pleaded for his followers to be spared. His gang members also begged for leniency, explaining that Li Pan An had provided for them when they were homeless and that he only wanted a wife.

Fang Shao Gong pointed out that while Li Pan An had wronged several young women, he hadn't truly harmed them, and prosecuting him would only bring more embarrassment to the victims. He also highlighted Li Pan An's positive trait of caring for his followers. Ultimately, Ru Qin agreed to release Li Pan An on the condition that he promised to never commit such acts again in Qin Chuan.

Li Pan An vowed to never touch another woman, but Ru Qin encouraged him to simply live a decent life instead. Shaogong visited Ru Qin, who was still recovering from the effects of the Chau Mei drug. He observed that she continued to maintain his old residence, stating she was still waiting for him. Ru Qin dismissed his comments, attributing them to Li Pan An's idle talk. Shaogong then clarified that he viewed their relationship purely as a friendship.

Ru Qin suggested that Shaogong stay at her family's residence, mentioning Lan Sheng missed him. Shaogong explained that Ji Tong, who had nursed him back to health by the Eastern Sea, was now like family to him and had no other kin. He also noted that his own house was currently uninhabitable due to neglect.

Despite this, he initially agreed to stay at the Fang residence, but later decided against it when Ji Tong refused to join him there, preferring a quieter life at Shaogong's own house. Later, Ru Qin visited Ji Tong and Shaogong at Shaogong's residence, trying to persuade Ji Tong to move to her house. Both Ru Qin and Shaogong encouraged Ji Tong, and this time she reluctantly agreed.

During a private conversation, Shaogong revealed to Ji Tong that he had lost a fragment of a crucial jade ornament. Ji Tong advised him against his relentless pursuit of the jade and his attempts to revive the dead. Shaogong, however, expressed his profound regret over losing Xun Fang and his determination to find the jade pieces to give his life meaning. Meanwhile, a spirit butterfly sent by Feng Qing Xue reached Tian Yong City, bringing news of Tu Su.

Ling Yue, Tu Su's senior brother, decided to go to Qin Chuan to bring Tu Su back. He analyzed the circumstances of Zhao Lin's death, noting that Zhao Lin was holding the sword's casing, which suggested he was protecting it rather than simply being curious about it. Ling Yue concluded that Zhao Lin's death was not Tu Su's doing but a result of protecting the Sword of Burning Solitude.

He instructed Fu Qu to remain in Tian Yong City and distract the Head Reverend to prevent anyone from pursuing Tu Su, while he secretly embarked on his journey alone. The Fang residence hosted a celebratory dinner, honoring Tu Su and Qing Xue for their assistance and welcoming Shaogong back. Lan Sheng eagerly questioned Shaogong about his travels, to which Shaogong replied that he had worked as a traveling doctor.

Tu Su then mentioned his own encounter with Shaogong while studying martial arts in Tian Yong City. Lan Sheng’s request to learn magic was swiftly shut down by Ru Qin, who insisted he focus on managing the family business and finding a wife. Lan Sheng countered that he would only marry after Ru Qin did, even suggesting she and Shaogong marry. Shaogong gently stated that marriage should not be forced.

Lan Sheng confided that he had developed a crush on a beautiful and innocent girl he met at the Yue Lao temple. Ru Qin encouraged him to pursue her. Lan Sheng then invited Tu Su to stay at their home in Qin Chuan, but Tu Su replied that he needed to consider it due to other pressing matters. Later, Tu Su and Shaogong had a private conversation.

Tu Su expressed his thoughts about Tian Yong City, and Shaogong updated him on the situation there, including Ling Duan's accusations regarding Zhao Lin's death. Shaogong reassured Tu Su that he believed in his innocence, knowing he would never intentionally harm anyone. Shaogong deduced that Qing Xue had been sent by Ling Yue. Tu Su revealed his intention to find the masked men, but expressed his reluctance to involve Ling Yue and their master, wishing to resolve the issue independently.

He believed the masked men were after the Sword of Burning Solitude and would eventually seek him out. Tu Su then stated his original purpose in Qin Chuan was simply to see Shaogong and ensure his well-being, and now he planned to depart. Shaogong urged Tu Su to remain in Qin Chuan, advising him not to dwell on Zhao Lin's death or isolate himself because of the sword aura, reminding him he had friends who could support him.

Tu Su then recalled that he had slashed the masked man's back with the Sword of Burning Solitude on the night Zhao Lin was killed, leaving a distinctive black scar. Shaogong reiterated his plea for Tu Su to stay in Qin Chuan, assuring him that together they could solve the mystery. Ru Qin showed Shaogong a section of the Fang family backyard, which her father had intended to convert into a charity medical clinic called Qing Nang Medicine House.

She proposed that Shaogong oversee its operations. Shaogong agreed to help establish and manage the clinic for a temporary period but firmly stated that he did not plan to reside in Qin Chuan indefinitely. Ru Qin accepted his decision, promising to find another doctor once the clinic was properly running. Shaogong, when alone, pondered his uncertain future and lack of a permanent place. Meanwhile, Lan Sheng, still searching for his "little fairy," investigated unusual noises outside his house.

He initially suspected the rapist had returned, despite Ru Qin's talismans. He then saw a figure he recognized as his "little fairy" (Xiang Ling) struggling to enter his home, blocked by the talismans. Believing she was merely shy, he attempted to playfully startle her but was inadvertently knocked unconscious by her reflex. The next morning, Qing Xue woke a disoriented Lan Sheng, who recounted his encounter with the "little fairy."

He showed her his injured eye, and Qing Xue jokingly offered to give him a matching one. Lan Sheng, exasperated, complained about Qing Xue's frequent hitting and urged her to show more restraint. Excusing himself, he left. Qing Xue, reflecting on Lan Sheng, pondered why Yueyan admired him. She then brought up Tu Su's unresolved issues from Tian Yong City, and Tu Su agreed to send a message to Ling Yue, which Qing Xue did via a spirit butterfly.

The Qing Nang Medicine House opened its doors, earning widespread praise from the local community for Ru Qin's charitable efforts and Shaogong's skilled medical practice. Xiang Ling joined the line of patients, hoping to catch Tu Su's attention. Qing Xue recognized Xiang Ling and told her not to cause trouble. When it was her turn, Xiang Ling complained to Shaogong that her heart raced, especially when she saw Tu Su.

Shaogong, after checking her pulse, humorously diagnosed her with "lovesickness" and admitted he had no cure for it. Xiang Ling persisted, demanding a prescription, but Shaogong dismissed her. Lan Sheng, recognizing her, called her his "Little Fairy" and enthusiastically expressed his belief that they were fated, repeatedly asking her name and address. Annoyed, Xiang Ling pushed him away and fled, with Lan Sheng in pursuit. Lan Sheng, however, lost sight of her again.

Lan Sheng later encountered Bai Xiao Sheng, the tea shopkeeper, who sensed a demonic aura around him. Lan Sheng confidently displayed his Green Jade of the South, proclaiming it protected him from demons. Xiang Ling then approached Bai Xiao Sheng, presenting a fake gold leaf to inquire about removing a demonic aura. Bai Xiao Sheng, recognizing the fake, eventually accepted a valuable "Five Fire Seven Level fan" from her.

He explained that a precious item imbued with spiritual power could suppress demonic aura, subtly hinting at Lan Sheng's Green Jade of the South. Xiang Ling then found Lan Sheng and asked to borrow the jade. Lan Sheng, delighted by her attention, joked about her repaying him "with her body" before quickly apologizing when she grew angry.

He explained that the jade was a crucial family heirloom, entrusted to him by his father, and he needed to consult Ru Qin first. Xiang Ling introduced herself as Xiang Ling from Red Leaf Lake, claiming she was in Qin Chuan to find her relatives. Lan Sheng discussed lending the Green Jade of the South with Ru Qin, who adamantly refused, reiterating its importance for his safety, a lesson from their father.

Lan Sheng argued that the "little fairy" was very important to him, but Ru Qin was unswayed, questioning the girl's character for demanding such a valuable item. Despite Lan Sheng's insistence that Xiang Ling only wished to borrow it, Ru Qin remained firm, stating that the jade was essential for his well-being. Lan Sheng reluctantly gave up the argument.

Lan Sheng then complained about being hungry, and when Tu Su and Qing Xue returned, they told Ru Qin not to wait for Shaogong for dinner, so Ru Qin went to prepare it. Ru Qin then visited Ji Tong and saw her making a zither. Ji Tong expressed her regret at not having Thousand-Year Ice Silkworm Silk for the strings, hinting that finding such a match could win Shaogong's heart. Ru Qin vowed to find the silk.

She then consulted Bai Xiao Sheng, the tea shopkeeper, who found a record indicating that the Jiao Xian might possess it, though he cautioned her about the potential dangers. Ignoring his advice, Ru Qin set off alone to find Jiao Xian. She found a chessboard at his dwelling, and Jiao Xian, appearing as a handsome man, challenged her: win the chess game, and she would receive the silk; lose, and she would remain with him. Ru Qin accepted.

Bai Xiao Sheng, meanwhile, found Shaogong and warned him that Jiao Xian was a man-eater. Ru Qin won the chess game, which infuriated Jiao Xian, who then seized her. Shaogong arrived to rescue her. Jiao Xian lamented his divine punishment, and Shaogong offered him a Dream Soul Pill, promising it would help Jiao Xian recall his wife, in exchange for Ru Qin's freedom. Jiao Xian accepted the pill, swallowed it, and returned to the lake.

Shaogong rescued Ru Qin, who then offered him the Thousand-Year Ice Silkworm Silk. Shaogong, however, gently told her that his heart already belonged to another and urged her not to wait for him. Ru Qin, though saddened, insisted he take the silk, expressing her unwavering devotion. Shaogong later confronted Ji Tong, questioning if she had deliberately told Ru Qin about the ice silkworm silk.

Ji Tong, in turn, asked why he couldn't accept Ru Qin if he truly worried about her. Shaogong reiterated his profound love for Xun Fang and angrily told Ji Tong not to add to his emotional burdens, then stormed off. Shaogong informed Tu Su that he intended to leave Qin Chuan soon. Tu Su, also feeling a need to resolve his own issues, decided to accompany Shaogong on his journey.

Qing Xue brought a tonic to Yue Yan and suggested that Shaogong might be able to help cure her illness. Yue Yan's nurse expressed skepticism about Shaogong's abilities. During their conversation, Yue Yan mentioned that it was the night of the full moon. Realizing the implications for Tu Su, Qing Xue hastily departed. She returned to find Tu Su in the throes of his malevolent aura. As she called out to him, the irrational Tu Su seized her by the throat.
