Yue Jinzhao and his group rested at an inn along the way. Bian Luohuan secretly passed on a message when no one was around. Although Yue Jinzhao constantly observed Bian Luohuan, he did not notice anything unusual. Luo Zhaoyan originally didn't want to stay overnight to rest, but she wasn't feeling well.

Xian Qing directly decided for them to stay overnight to rest tonight, and in order to take care of Luo Zhaoyan, he voluntarily stayed in the same room with her. Yue Jinzhao suspected that Luo Zhaoyan's two instances of discomfort today were related to Bian Luohuan, and instructed Ju Shifang to keep a close watch on Bian Luohuan. Yue Jinzhao obtained the straw woven fish that had fallen from Bian Luohuan.

Yue Qi noticed that the weaving method of this straw woven fish was the same as her hair tie. Yue Jinzhao also suspected that Bian Luohuan was related to Yue Qi's background and planned to probe Bian Luohuan tonight. Xian Qing found Ming Xiu, who had rendezvoused with their group, and asked Ming Xiu to help diagnose Luo Zhaoyan.

Ming Xiu told Xian Qing that she discovered Luo Zhaoyan's vitality was continuously draining, and guessed that the premature death of the Luo Family twins was due to a curse. Luo Zhaoyan thought about the two of them sharing a room tonight and felt awkward, so she proactively suggested that she sleep on the floor. Xian Qing knew that Luo Zhaoyan, being a woman, had concerns about gender distinctions, so he found an excuse and went out directly, letting Luo Zhaoyan rest well tonight. Yue Jinzhao wanted to remove Bian Luohuan's mask under the cover of night, but he never found a good opportunity.

Early the next morning, everyone set off towards the Central Plains Martial Alliance. Along the way, Gao Xiao and Meng Cheng appeared and threatened everyone to release the Sacred Decree Lord. Facing these people, Bian Luohuan could not deny his identity. Yue Jinzhao exposed that Bian Luohuan had scattered Engraved Heart Fragrance on the flower pistils at the inn and had specifically reminded the innkeeper to burn mugwort.
