During a business dinner, Jian Bing displays her formidable drinking capacity, handily outdrinking Mr. He and his associates. As his colleagues succumb to the alcohol, a defeated Mr. He retreats to the restroom. Liang Shanshan urges a defiant Jian Bing to stop, but Jian Bing, drunkenly referring to her companions as her "seven dwarfs," insists the group isn't complete. Later, with both Jian Bing and Mr. He heavily intoxicated, Liang Shanshan has the incapacitated director taken home.

She then brings Jian Bing, who deliriously demands to find a "forest cottage" to use the bathroom, to her own apartment for the night. Meanwhile, the ice hockey team is in disarray over Captain Hao Junjie's absence. Jian Shuang argues with teammates who feel they can't practice without their forward. The coach intervenes, announcing that Hao Junjie has officially quit and a new captain will be elected.

Elsewhere, Hao Junjie is being closely monitored by his uncle, Fang Mu, who has confiscated his phone and is restricting his movements. When some students arrive seeking Fang Mu's help, Hao Junjie seizes the chance to slip away. Jian Shuang enters the captaincy election and secures the position with her superior skill. She immediately goes to find Hao Junjie, who has just borrowed a classmate's phone to contact her.

Jian Shuang takes him to the ice rink, urging him not to abandon the team. Hao Junjie explains that his musician parents want him to audition for an overseas orchestra and he feels pressured to focus on his piano practice. Knowing he dislikes the piano, Jian Shuang challenges him to a one-on-one game. After an intense match, she implores him not to be swayed by his family and to stay with the team, warning that it will disband without him.

That evening, Sheng Yang packs his computer and rushes out of work. His colleague, Pan Rou, correctly guesses he is interested in Jian Bing, the director he recommended. She pesters their coworker, Song Chen, who eventually recounts the story of Sheng Yang and Jian Bing's first meeting ten years prior, explaining that Sheng Yang has been captivated by her warmth and sincerity ever since. Sheng Yang hurries to Jian Bing's apartment, but she isn't home.

He waits patiently by her door, eventually falling asleep. The next morning, Jian Bing wakes up at Liang Shanshan's and rushes home to find Sheng Yang at her doorstep. He lies, claiming he just arrived, and returns her computer. He then pitches a lipstick advertisement project to her. Feeling obligated, Jian Bing offers to treat him to a meal, but Sheng Yang insists on cooking for her instead, impressing her with a "Sunshine Breakfast."

Jian Bing reviews the ad materials and likes the brand's concept of breaking free from labels, but finds the target audience too narrow. Sheng Yang promises to negotiate better compensation for her. When Jian Bing jokingly asks if he expects a kickback, he earnestly explains his only motivation is to deliver a successful project and earn his boss's respect.

Elsewhere, Luo Meijuan's dissatisfaction with her husband, Sheng Xiangqian, since a class reunion is placated when he gifts her an expensive silk dress. At work, Sheng Yang shows Jian Bing's portfolio to his boss, Mr. Yu, who is impressed and wants to meet her. Team leader Wang Youde tries to stall, suggesting they wait until after Mr. Yu's upcoming business trip. Fearing the opportunity will be lost, Sheng Yang promises Jian Bing will come that afternoon.

Unable to reach her by phone, he rushes to her apartment. Jian Bing agrees to the meeting and arrives at the company by 5 PM. In the meeting, Jian Bing's confident demeanor impresses Mr. Yu. When asked how she knows Sheng Yang, she strategically states they "aren't familiar" and have only met twice, humorously adding that he came to "block" her at home to get her to come.

Wang Youde voices concerns about budget and the risks of hiring a new director. In response, Jian Bing presents a sample video she shot on her phone on the way over. While Mr. Yu is impressed, Jian Bing dismisses it as a mere technical exercise, arguing a strong creative concept is more important.

When Wang Youde brings up the high cost of her team, Jian Bing cleverly uses an analogy with instant versus pour-over coffee to argue that quality is worth the initial investment to avoid costly reshoots. Convinced by her sharp reasoning and thorough preparation, Mr. Yu agrees to the collaboration on the spot.

As Sheng Yang walks her out, Jian Bing explains she claimed they weren't familiar to protect him from office politics, preventing people like Wang Youde from accusing him of having ulterior motives. She advises Sheng Yang to be wary of his team leader, noting that a boss always knows who is truly working hard. Before leaving, she reassures him that he performed exceptionally well that day.
