President Wang hosted a banquet for Mai Chenghuan and invited three sales managers to accompany them. He Dong was assigned to help Mai Chenghuan fend off toasts and report to Yao Zhiming at any time. However, Mai Chenghuan refused to go along. She raised her glass and drank heartily with President Wang, using the momentum to negotiate prices. Xin Jialiang messaged President Wang, asking him to offer a discount to Mai Chenghuan and promised a raise afterward.

Upon learning that Mai Chenghuan was Xin Jialiang’s girlfriend, President Wang immediately offered a 20% discount, which Mai Chenghuan gladly accepted. He Dong drank with President Wang and soon forgot all of Yao Zhiming’s instructions. Yao Zhiming couldn’t get through to He Dong by phone and, worried, rushed to the restaurant. He walked in to see He Dong and Mai Chenghuan celebrating their successful negotiation. Yao Zhiming drank a glass of wine in one go and ended up completely drunk.

He Dong and Mai Chenghuan had no choice but to push him back to his residence on a luggage cart. He Dong even snapped a photo of the two as a souvenir. Mai Chenghuan and He Dong struggled to get Yao Zhiming into his room. He handed his wallet to Mai Chenghuan and insisted on going swimming, even starting to undress in front of her. She quickly called He Dong over.

After He Dong settled him down, Mai Chenghuan finally left, sending the signed contract to Yao Zhiming’s email. Yao Zhiming woke up groggily and opened the email to find a rebate contract. At work, he summoned Mai Chenghuan and questioned why she didn’t use her relationship with Xin Jialiang to negotiate. Mai Chenghuan explained that she wanted to rely on her own efforts. Impressed, Yao Zhiming rewarded her and invited her parents to attend a couple’s dinner at the hotel.

Mai Chenghuan gave the invitation to her parents. They were overjoyed. Mai Laitian even took Liu Wanyu to buy an evening gown. Mai Laitian accompanied Liu Wanyu to the dinner. Mai Chenghuan was on site directing. It was her first time organizing such an event, so she was understandably nervous, especially since few guests had arrived. Wu You mocked her from the side, waiting for her to fail.

Xin Jialiang, dressed as a knight, came with friends to support her and even proposed to her on one knee in front of everyone. Wu You sent someone to call Zhu Zheng, who came and harshly scolded Mai Chenghuan. Mai Chenghuan pulled Xin Jialiang aside. He admitted to asking President Wang to give her a 20% discount. She was furious and left, using work as an excuse.

Liu Wanyu quickly stepped in to ease the tension and invited Xin Jialiang home for dinner. During the event, there was a lucky draw, and Liu Wanyu and Mai Laitian won. Unfortunately, they had already gone home. Liu Wanyu prepared a lavish meal for Xin Jialiang, who ate with great gusto. She took the opportunity to request a meeting with his parents. Xin Jialiang agreed immediately, vowing to make Mai Chenghuan happy.

Mai Chenghuan returned home late and, upon learning Liu Wanyu had brought Xin Jialiang home, rushed in to confront her. Liu Wanyu tried to persuade her to accept the proposal. Mai Chenghuan didn’t say yes or no and instead called Xin Jialiang out. He repeatedly apologized and took out a power bank she had given him three years ago. When he was staying at a hotel and his phone died, she had given him that charger.

It had become a token of their love. Xin Jialiang wanted to “recharge” their relationship with it. Touched, Mai Chenghuan smiled through her tears and forgave him. Xin Jialiang was overjoyed. Liu Wanyu placed a ring on Mai Chenghuan’s finger. The thought of her daughter getting married left her with a heavy heart. Mai Chenghuan comforted her, telling her not to be sad.
