In high school, Jiang Yi once heard about the school Huang Yingzi planned to apply for. He realized he should think about the future and how he could get into the same university as Huang Yingzi. He then started studying diligently, listening attentively in class every day, no longer dozing off. After persisting for over a month, he surprisingly scored 102 on a test, achieving an excellent result.

Jiang Yi excitedly held up his test paper and ran into the corridor, as excited and fervent as Fan Jin after passing the imperial examination. The sky turned a pale white (fish belly white). Ding Ye called Huang Yingzi to watch the sunrise together. Looking at Ding Ye's clear profile, Huang Yingzi felt that he probably didn't like playing chess in the park or putting on an apron to cook.

Ding Ye confessed that since his last work came out, he had been working hard for the past ten years, but had nothing to show for it. So he felt he still needed to experience more. It was best to be with friends more. Huang Yingzi couldn't help but laugh; she had actually become Ding Ye's friend. The first ray of sunlight from the sunrise fell on Ding Ye and Huang Yingzi.

They were captivated by everything bathed in the morning glow, with the lush green scenery spread out before them. In the early morning, Jiang Yi saw Ding Ye taking Huang Yingzi back from the balcony. Connecting this with being stood up by Huang Yingzi last night, he misunderstood the relationship between Huang Yingzi and Ding Ye and turned off his phone in disappointment. Huang Yingzi called but couldn't get through, so she went directly to Jiang Yi's company.

It turned out his colleagues were also looking for Jiang Yi everywhere. Today was the press conference for Jiang Yi's sandbox game, and many reporters were waiting to interview Jiang Yi, so he had to attend. Huang Yingzi quickly went to find Zhuang Yuan. Zhuang Yuan said he didn't know where Jiang Yi was either. Huang Yingzi glared fiercely at Zhuang Yuan; she knew Zhuang Yuan too well and could detect a lie with just a look.

In high school, Jiang Yi studied hard because he originally wanted to apply to a university in Beijing with Huang Yingzi. He was used to being lazy, and without extra effort, he couldn't keep up with Huang Yingzi's pace at all. Zhuang Yuan also came to help Jiang Yi with tutoring. He told Huang Yingzi that Jiang Yi's rapid progress was to keep up with Huang Yingzi's steps.

Every time he was tired from studying and wanted to rest, he would see a whale on his test paper, and his body would instantly be filled with energy as if injected with chicken blood. Finally, the college entrance examination scores were announced. Huang Yingzi sat beside Jiang Yi, full of anticipation for him to get a satisfactory score. However, Jiang Yi's score was not high enough for Huang Yingzi's school.

Angrily, Jiang Yi shut himself in his bedroom without a word. Afterwards, Jiang Yi's mother decided to send him to study abroad in England. He hadn't gotten into a Beijing university, and couldn't even stay in the country. Jiang Yi was very angry. The next day, he told his friends about this. Everyone could understand; after all, how many people longed to study abroad? But Huang Yingzi was very sad.

When she got home, she saw Jiang Yi still coming over for a free meal. She felt both sympathetic and angry, and deliberately ignored Jiang Yi. At the dinner table, her parents asked Huang Yingzi where she planned to go during the summer vacation and suggested that she could hang out with friends before university, as they might see less of each other in the future.

Jiang Yi also tried his best to persuade Huang Yingzi to travel together, but he was refused every time. Jiang Yi's mother had already contacted the school in England, but her son insisted on not going abroad. So Jiang Yi's mother went to find Huang Yingzi, hoping she could persuade Jiang Yi. Huang Yingzi knew that Jiang Yi's dream was to become a game designer and that going to England would allow him to learn more advanced game software tutorials.

To make Jiang Yi go abroad, Huang Yingzi put on her most beautiful dress, specifically called Zhuang Yuan over, and deliberately held hands with Zhuang Yuan to act like a couple in front of Jiang Yi. Jiang Yi came out of the internet cafe and saw Huang Yingzi and Zhuang Yuan holding hands and shopping. He despairingly thought that Huang Yingzi had chosen Zhuang Yuan, and afterwards, he flew to England with his mother.

Years later, Huang Yingzi told Zhuang Yuan about this. Only then did Zhuang Yuan realize that Huang Yingzi had asked him to pretend to be her boyfriend to make Jiang Yi angry and leave. Zhuang Yuan felt it was necessary to explain to Jiang Yi and immediately called Jiang Yi out. Huang Yingzi explained why she missed their appointment (stood him up). Jiang Yi was angry that Huang Yingzi stood him up to accompany Ding Ye to watch the sunrise.

Zhuang Yuan wanted to explain about him and Huang Yingzi pretending to be a couple twelve years ago. Jiang Yi calmly said that he knew they were acting back then.
