Upon waking, DongBo Xueying felt completely refreshed, the stabbing pain in his back gone. His immediate priority was rescuing his mother from Moyang's Fort. He set out with Yu Jingqiu, Pu Yangbo, and Kong Youyue. As a new Transcendent, DongBo Xueying’s power had grown immensely, and he easily overpowered Moyang Chen. Just as DongBo Xueying was about to deliver a final blow to Moyang Chen, the masked High Priest of the Demon Clan appeared and intervened.
In the ensuing chaos, Yu Jingqiu saw the conflict and felt a sudden wave of dizziness, accompanied by fragmented memories of her childhood. The High Priest used the distraction to escape with both Moyang Chen and DongBo Xueying's mother, Moyang Yu. The Demon Clan's involvement led DongBo Xueying to realize that his family's tragedy ten years ago was not a simple feud but part of a larger conspiracy. Kong Youyue found a blue crystal ball dropped by the High Priest.
Yu Jingqiu recognized it as an object from the core chamber of the Xinhuo Palace, which she had seen as a child. They deduced there must be a demon spy within the Xinhuo Palace, the Xia Clan's most powerful defensive force, posing a threat to the entire clan. Yu Jingqiu explained that joining the Xinhuo Palace was a difficult process, requiring years of training within a Transcendent organization and passing the Hundred-Battle Chamber test.
Unwilling to wait, DongBo Xueying decided to seek help from Sikong Yang, Master of the Water Daoist Temple, to gain immediate entry. Impressed by DongBo Xueying's filial piety and determination, Sikong Yang agreed to let him attempt the challenging test despite his inexperience. Meanwhile, the High Priest took Moyang Chen and Moyang Yu to the demon base. He treated Moyang Chen's injuries and gave him a manual for an advanced demonic technique.
He warned Moyang Chen that to master it, he would eventually have to abandon his righteous cultivation to avoid a fatal backlash. Believing he had no other path after being expelled from Black White Deity Mountain, Moyang Chen fully committed to the Demon Clan. The High Priest tasked him with guarding Moyang Yu, stressing her importance, and told him the Second Priest would contact him soon.
Elsewhere, DongBo Qingshi found a letter from Zong Ling about Ji Rong's father and rushed back to Snow Stone Fort. Ji Rong, disgusted by her father Ji Wuhai's greed, had disguised herself as an assassin to scare him off. Ji Wuhai fled in terror and was saved by Tong San. Although DongBo Qingshi pleaded for Ji Wuhai to stay, Ji Rong later lied, claiming her father was used to a wanderer's life and had already left.
Sikong Yang brought DongBo Xueying to the Hundred-Battle Chamber, explaining he first had to break through an energy barrier as a test of strength. DongBo Xueying failed, unable to open the gate. Sikong Yang advised him to focus on steadily increasing his power level first, marking DongBo Xueying's first significant taste of failure. At Changfeng Academy, Situ Hong requested leave from Ms. Tanshi to take Si Borong's body home.

At the Si Mansion, Si Lianghong berated Situ Hong for failing to protect his cousin, Si Borong. A devastated Situ Hong went to drink alone, followed by Moyang Chen. Later, a drunken Situ Hong confronted Si Lianghong, accusing her of always favoring Si Borong while treating him with contempt because he was from a side branch of the family.
He drunkenly repeated a rumor that she was in a relationship with Chi Qiubai, pointing to the similarities between their family's Vanishing Technique and his Space Split technique. Enraged and disappointed, Si Lianghong left. Moyang Chen then approached Situ Hong and proposed an alliance. He falsely blamed Situ Hong for the deaths of Cui Yong and Si Borong, claiming to have demon witnesses, to manipulate him.
He offered a powerful technique that could increase one's power tenfold in exchange for the Si family's secret Vanishing Technique manual. Though Situ Hong initially refused, Moyang Chen left him to consider the offer, preying on his desperation to surpass DongBo Xueying.
