Hu Fei understood Cheng Lingsu's concerns, but given the circumstances, he could not bear to separate Ma Chunhua from her children. Furthermore, he believed a true man repays kindness, and thus, he decided to proceed with his risky plan. Disguised, Hu Fei went to a restaurant near the king's residence, where he overheard Wang Tie'e and Right Barrack constable Zhang Jiu talking in an adjacent room. The two men were casually drinking.

Wang Tie'e expressed admiration for Hu Fei, while Zhang Jiu was dismissive. Seizing the opportunity, Hu Fei entered their room. Zhang Jiu didn't recognize him, and Wang Tie'e, despite knowing Hu Fei, did not immediately expose him. Hu Fei then revealed his identity and subdued Zhang Jiu.

Wang Tie'e, knowing he was no match for Hu Fei and recalling their past acquaintance, listened as Hu Fei explained the full story: how Fu Kangan met Ma Chunhua at Shang's Fort, and how Ma Chunhua was poisoned. Hearing this, Wang Tie'e gritted his teeth and agreed to help Hu Fei disguise himself as Zhang Jiu to enter the residence that night. He then went to inform his elder brothers, Zhou Tiejiao and Zeng Tie'ou.

Zeng Tie'ou, however, was apprehensive, scolding Wang Tie'e for his impulsiveness, fearing the inherent dangers. Zhou Tiejiao, while impressed by Hu Fei, also worried that agreeing to this would bring trouble, leaving them at a loss. Meanwhile, Cheng Lingsu noticed that her Nine-Round Restoration Pills were running low, prompting her to consider returning to Medicine King Valley soon.

In a pavilion, Yuan Ziyi was lost in thought when All-knowing Nun approached, reminding her of her mission to protect the king's residence that night without any mishaps. Yuan Ziyi acknowledged the order and departed. All-knowing Nun watched her leave with an inexplicable sigh. Hu Fei changed into Zhang Jiu's uniform and returned to his room. Moments later, someone delivered an official document stamped with "Ministry of War" in red.

Inside, Zhou Tiejiao had conveyed a message to Hu Fei through a drawing. As Hu Fei was about to leave with Ren Tongwu from the Right Barrack, he sensed something amiss and returned to his room, where he discovered that Zhou Tiejiao had killed Zhang Jiu. Hu Fei realized that while Zhou Tiejiao's method was ruthless, it proved his genuine commitment to help him enter the residence. Thanks to Zhou Tiejiao's meticulous plan, Hu Fei successfully entered the king's residence.

He was surprised by the rigorous security, with multiple checkpoints and different passcodes for each gate. Upon reaching the rear garden, his identity was exposed, but he quickly subdued Ren Tongwu and the other guards, silently infiltrating the inner courtyard. Inside, Hailan was agitated by the children's constant noise and urged Yuan Ziyi to silence them using acupuncture points.

As Yuan Ziyi hesitated, Hu Fei, still disguised as Zhang Jiu, arrived and announced that Old Madam wished to see the children. He promptly took the children, much to Hailan's and Yuan Ziyi's surprise. Yuan Ziyi recognized Hu Fei's voice and pursued him, but Princess Hejia suddenly appeared and exposed his deception. In a desperate move, Hu Fei took Princess Hejia hostage. Yuan Ziyi discreetly assisted him, allowing him to leave the king's residence with the children.

Upon learning that Hu Fei’s identity was revealed, the three Zhou brothers realized that if Hu Fei were captured, they too would be implicated. They decided to create a diversion by setting a fire in the Buddhist hall where Old Madam resided. As everyone rushed to extinguish the fire, All-knowing Nun protected Old Madam from harm. Meanwhile, Ren Tongwu, who had regained consciousness, reported Hu Fei's true identity to Zhou Tiejiao, only to be killed by him.

Cheng Lingsu, angered by Hu Fei's reckless actions, rushed to the king's residence to rescue him. Through their combined efforts, Hu Fei successfully got the children into Cheng Lingsu's carriage, and they sped away. Yuan Ziyi and her junior sister Feihong deliberately set up roadblocks to hinder the palace guards. Unluckily, Feng Yiming witnessed this, solidifying his suspicion about Yuan Ziyi's involvement with Hu Fei. Upon seeing her children, Ma Chunhua felt immense relief.

With Cheng Lingsu’s meticulous acupuncture and medicine, the poison in her system gradually subsided. To appease Cheng Lingsu, Hu Fei had Lv Xiaomei teach him to make a light, nourishing soup. Even after being initially turned away, he managed to coax Cheng Lingsu into opening her door, and they finally reconciled. Old Madam, though startled by the previous night's events, was stable after All-knowing Nun's care.

Fu Kangan rewarded Zhou Tiejiao and his men for protecting the inner courtyard but reprimanded Official Tang for failing to secure the outer perimeter. Official Tang complained to Feng Tiannan, who, hearing about Yuan Ziyi's alleged collusion with Hu Fei, concluded that the Tianshan Sect must be connected to the Red Flower Club. Hailan Bi arrived with the Firearm Brigade, having been sent by the Emperor to secure the king's residence.

He also sent Princess Hejia back to her own residence. Before leaving, Princess Hejia mentioned to Fu Kangan the power of the Firearm Brigade, confidently stating that no matter how skilled Hu Fei was, he could not withstand firearms. All-knowing Nun, aware of Yuan Ziyi's role in helping Hu Fei take the children, instructed her to personally retrieve them.
