Put Your Head on My Shoulder Episode 13 Recap
> Put Your Head on My Shoulder Recap
Si Tu Mo finds herself questioned by her Senior in the canteen about the nature of her relationship with Gu Weiyi, given they live together but are not a couple. Si Tu Mo vehemently denies any romantic involvement, insisting their connection is purely platonic. She then turns the tables, asking if her Senior has feelings for Gu Weiyi.
The Senior readily admits her affection for him and mentions that he has already moved back to the new campus for his experiments. Just as they are speaking, Gu Weiyi arrives. Sensing the awkwardness, Si Tu Mo quickly pulls her friend Menglu away, insisting on treating her to a meal elsewhere. Gu Weiyi, upon entering, notices Si Tu Mo's hasty departure. In her haste, Si Tu Mo leaves behind her meal card and Menglu's phone in the canteen.
Gu Weiyi finds them and calls Menglu's phone. He informs Si Tu Mo that he has both items and instructs her to pick them up from him at the lab, as he has an urgent matter there. Si Tu Mo reassures Menglu that her phone is safe with Gu Weiyi. Menglu, who has a movie to catch with a boy named Ak, asks Si Tu Mo to drop her phone in the dorm later.
Si Tu Mo agrees to retrieve the items after their meal. When Si Tu Mo arrives at the lab, she sees Gu Weiyi enter a lecture hall. While waiting outside, she overhears a conversation between Gu Weiyi and his Senior. The Senior is holding Zhou Lei's kitten and asks Gu Weiyi if he thinks it's cute. Gu Weiyi replies, "Cute." Si Tu Mo, not seeing the kitten, misunderstands and believes Gu Weiyi called his Senior cute, making her instantly jealous.
Shortly after, Gu Weiyi emerges and hands Si Tu Mo the retrieved items. He offers to wait for her so they can walk home together. However, still fuming, Si Tu Mo curtly refuses, telling him not to waste his time. Gu Weiyi is left bewildered, wondering why she is suddenly angry again. As the day's experiments conclude, Prof. Jiang instructs Zhou Lei to clean the lab, chastising him for the mess caused by his kitten.
Unexpectedly, Gu Weiyi steps forward and offers to take on the cleaning duty himself. Zhou Lei, surprised, suspects that Prof. Jiang might be giving Gu Weiyi special tutoring. Gu Weiyi simply states he is waiting for someone. This prompts Zhou Lei to exclaim, "Oh, what is this thing called love!" before leaving. Later, Gu Weiyi waits outside Si Tu Mo's dorm, but she doesn't answer his calls. He encounters Prof. Jiang's wife, who is surprised to see him.
She sees Fu Pei and Wang Shan returning from a date and points them out as a loving couple who often study together, warning Gu Weiyi not to interfere with them. Fu Pei and Wang Shan greet Gu Weiyi, and he apologizes to Wang Shan. Fu Pei is curious, and Wang Shan clarifies it's about the time she took him to Si Tu Mo's house, which Fu Pei dismisses as a simple act of kindness.
Gu Weiyi and Fu Pei sit down for drinks. Gu Weiyi directly asks Fu Pei if he has clarified things with Si Tu Mo regarding Wang Shan. Fu Pei assures him that he and Si Tu Mo have "made it clear," explaining they both realized they didn't like each other anymore. He concludes, "She can fall for someone else, and I can be with Wang Shan. We're not holding each other back."
Gu Weiyi smiles, prompting Fu Pei to jokingly complain about being "hurt too deeply" by Si Tu Mo. Fu Pei then accuses Gu Weiyi of "snatching his girlfriend" and challenges him to a fight: if Gu Weiyi loses, he can no longer call Si Tu Mo by her nickname, "Momo." After her shower, Si Tu Mo notices Gu Weiyi's missed calls and returns his call. Gu Weiyi immediately asks why she didn't inform him of her return home.
Si Tu Mo dismisses his question, stating she was showering, and abruptly hangs up. Back with Fu Pei, Gu Weiyi is advised that Si Tu Mo "is not easy to handle." Gu Weiyi sternly corrects Fu Pei, insisting he refer to her only by her full name, "Si Tu Mo." Later, Gu Weiyi arrives at their apartment and rings the doorbell, playing the Doraemon theme song, but Si Tu Mo remains unimpressed.
Gu Weiyi then presents a glass of orange juice under a microscope. Si Tu Mo, captivated, leans in to observe the rapidly moving particles. As she asks if they are microorganisms, Gu Weiyi steps closer, explaining that they are tiny particles undergoing Brownian motion. Initially charmed, Si Tu Mo's mood quickly sours as she recalls Gu Weiyi's "cute" conversation with his Senior. Her jealousy resurfacing, she abruptly tells Gu Weiyi to return to his room.
Before leaving, Gu Weiyi hands her a gift. Though initially dismissive, Si Tu Mo opens it to discover a new, limited-edition Doraemon cup—an identical replacement for the one she had broken. Her anger dissipates, replaced by delight. The next day, Gu Weiyi brings his microscope to the lab. Zhou Lei, after trying it out, suggests Gu Weiyi take care of his kitten, as he is the only one living off-campus, but Gu Weiyi flatly refuses.
Meanwhile, at Si Tu Mo's advertising company, a meeting is held to announce a new spokesperson, Lin Zhicun. At the library, Gu Weiyi buys a book on advertising, speculating that Si Tu Mo's moodiness might be work-related, where he encounters Fu Pei and Wang Shan. Fu Pei, despite his own romantic struggles, confidently offers to teach Gu Weiyi how to handle a girl's anger. Separately, Jie Er shares photos of the handsome Lin Zhicun in the work chat.
Si Tu Mo reacts calmly, but when probed about her love life, she denies being in love, though a fleeting, soured smile appears as she thinks of Gu Weiyi and his "cute" comment. With Fu Pei's help, Gu Weiyi realizes Si Tu Mo got angry because she overheard him and his Senior with the kitten and misunderstood his comment about the "kitten" being "cute." Fu Pei confirms that she was jealous.
With a plan, Gu Weiyi returns to the lab and asks Zhou Lei for the kitten. Amused by the change of heart, Zhou Lei playfully makes him plead before handing over the cat. Gu Weiyi waits at the bus stop with the kitten, ignoring a girl who tries to flirt with him and walking straight to Si Tu Mo. She is instantly charmed by the kitten.
As they walk home, he explains it belongs to Zhou Lei, but then mentions that his Senior also thought the kitten was cutest at this age, which immediately reignites Si Tu Mo's jealousy, causing her to walk ahead angrily. Inside the elevator, Gu Weiyi receives a text from Fu Pei: "A tough girl can't fend off a persistent guy. Stick to her. Follow her wherever she goes." At home, Si Tu Mo retreats to her room.
Gu Weiyi follows, claiming he doesn't know how to care for the kitten. He explains he only brought it home to clear up the misunderstanding: in the stairwell, he was calling the "cat" cute, not his Senior. Realizing her jealousy is exposed, Si Tu Mo slams the door on him. Meanwhile, Fu Pei and Wang Shan enjoy a movie date, holding hands.
Gu Weiyi, who is allergic to cats, eventually lets the kitten out of his bag and is relieved when Si Tu Mo takes it. He tries to get closer to her, but she remains evasive. He proposes they clean the house together, but she declines, claiming their robot cleaner, Circle, is tired. Si Tu Mo gives the kitten a bath, naming it Si Tu Dingdang. When the kitten cries out, Gu Weiyi rushes in, concerned she was scratched.
Si Tu Mo playfully uses the kitten to tease him. In retaliation, Gu Weiyi threatens to kiss her. Si Tu Mo retorts, "It's not like we haven't kissed before," leaving him flustered as he tries to brush it off as a joke from when she was drunk.
