Ling Xi, Tang Cheng, Mowgli, and Chu Shi gathered to package textbooks, a traditional activity. Tang Cheng explained that it symbolizes a hope to study hard, though often it ends in abandonment. Ling Xi then announced her decision to "stage a comeback" after reflecting on her studio's failure.

She identified three main reasons: insufficient attention to work details and factory maintenance, a lack of contract awareness that led to shipment delays and loss of customer trust, and failing to provide proper guidance and growth opportunities for her designers. Tang Cheng commended Ling Xi for her self-awareness. Ling Xi outlined her ambitious plan, which included reading more to enhance her expertise, building professional connections for marketing, and earning money to rehire her former employees.

She declared her intention to attend training classes at Puhua University, confidently stating that Mowgli would act as her "accompanied by a family member." Mowgli readily offered his full support. Chu Shi jokingly asked if she could join, but Tang Cheng quickly dismissed her. Meanwhile, Tang Cheng pressured Chu Shi for updates on tracking Lu Ziyue.

Chu Shi recounted following Lu Ziyue to the university dining hall, only to confess that she got distracted by doughnuts and a mobile game, subsequently losing him when he rode off on a Mobike. Annoyed, Tang Cheng threatened to send Chu Shi abroad if she failed again, but relented after Chu Shi's earnest pleas, reminding her this was her last chance.

Chu Shi then suggested that Ling Xi could help with the tracking, but Tang Cheng immediately rejected the idea, emphasizing the need for privacy. Back with Ling Xi and Mowgli, Ling Xi, feeling a mix of nervousness and excitement about her new path, expressed her insecurity about being penniless and reliant on Tang Cheng. She asked Mowgli if he still loved her in her current state.

Mowgli tenderly reassured her, saying he loved her more now than ever, finding her brave and "more lovely" than her past domineering self. He then shared an analogy about wolves licking each other's wounds, expressing his gratitude for the experiences that led him to her. He vowed to work harder, take on a man's responsibilities, and buy back her sold house and car to ensure she wouldn't be homeless.

Ling Xi was deeply touched, though her joy was briefly undercut when Mowgli comically undervalued her former assets at "two hundred thousand" Yuan, making her realize that "honeyed words are not reliable." Elsewhere, Bai Yiling embraced a new beginning, appearing at work in a sexy dress and high heels, surprising her colleagues and captivating Zheng Li. In the elevator after work, she told Zheng Li that she was ready for a new life and would accept his pursuit.

Zheng Li, overcome with joy, was then swept into a passionate kiss by Bai Yiling. The romantic moment was abruptly interrupted when the elevator doors opened to reveal Zheng Li's father, leading to an incredibly awkward encounter. Later, in the car, Zheng Li's father candidly discussed love, describing it as a "virus" one cannot avoid.

Zheng Li, expecting disapproval, was surprised when his father expressed no opposition to his relationship with Bai Yiling, stating he didn't mind it being an office romance or her previous divorce. Zheng Li then hesitantly raised the topic of not wanting children, to which his father responded that as long as Zheng Li believed in his choice, it was his "only standard answer," urging him not to waver due to societal opinions.

Zheng Li thanked his father, who then advised him to find an appropriate "opportunity" to tell his mother, whose reaction might be less understanding. Zheng Li then called Bai Yiling, reassuring her about his father's acceptance and playfully teasing her, appreciating her newfound confidence. At Puhua University, Ling Xi attended her training classes with Mowgli.

Mowgli's handsome appearance attracted the attention of several female students, but he skillfully rebuffed their advances, holding Ling Xi's hand and telling one girl that he "loves me too much." Ling Xi was pleased with his loyalty. During a break, Ling Xi offered to help a classmate, who worked in food marketing and was struggling with poor sales of crab roe flavored potato chips, by creating a free marketing proposal.

She advised him to focus on optimizing "points of sale" rather than the product itself and promised to work "overnight" to create a detailed analysis for him. Later, Mowgli found Chu Shi after she crashed her bicycle. She explained she was trying to learn to ride for Tang Cheng's "secret task" to track Lu Ziyue, who rides a bike "as quick as wind."

Mowgli, surprised that Lu Ziyue was an "environmentalist" for riding a bicycle, easily learned to ride the bike himself, then patiently taught Chu Shi, who quickly mastered it. That evening, Ling Xi met Mowgli after he finished a physically demanding job to earn extra money, noticing his injured arm. She expressed concern, but Mowgli, despite his fatigue, joked about needing to earn enough to feed his "girlfriend with such a great appetite" and reaffirmed that he would "support her."

Ling Xi, feeling empowered by her new independent spirit, laughed and treated him to a casual meal, where they playfully ate uncooked hotpot ingredients, making light of their current financial state. Meanwhile, Chu Shi reported to Tang Cheng that Lu Ziyue was "drowning his sorrows" at a hot-pot restaurant. Tang Cheng rushed there, only to find Lu Ziyue with a blind date, Miss Feng.

Miss Feng confessed her long-standing affection for Lu Ziyue, presenting him with a dice carved with "An Exquisite Dice with Love Peas," symbolizing her deep love. Lu Ziyue, though touched, admitted he couldn't reciprocate her feelings at that moment, despite having no one else in his heart. Miss Feng, undeterred, declared her willingness to wait for him "no matter how many years."

As they left, Lu Ziyue gave her a lipstick called "Moonlight Coral" and offered his jacket when it began to rain. Later, Tang Cheng confronted Lu Ziyue in the pouring rain, accusing him of applying lessons learned from their past relationship to his new date. He admitted that "the experience of failure has made me learn to cherish the present one."

He further explained their fundamental difference: she desired "the firework that bursts in a moment," while he yearned for "the light by my window." Tang Cheng, heartbroken, confessed her love and begged for another chance. However, Lu Ziyue coldly dismissed her, stating he didn't believe her and thought she "just doesn't want to lose."
