Zhou Chuan agonized over Monkey Jun's homepage all night, but didn't remove her from the blacklist. Jiang Yucheng met Gu Baizhi on the roadside when she accidentally sprained her ankle, so he drove her home. Zhou Chuan couldn't sleep late at night and went to find Jiang Yucheng, complaining that Chu Li insisted he delete things, and worse, in a fit of pique, he had deleted Monkey Jun, so he was conflicted about whether to delete some content.
Jiang Yucheng saw that Zhou Chuan regretted deleting Monkey Jun and advised him to shamelessly add her back, since she didn't know that Fox Jun was Zhou Chuan anyway. Finding a reason, Zhou Chuan immediately added Monkey Jun back. Jiang Yucheng refused to collaborate with Li Yu in anger because she asked him to blend ideas (róng gěng). Gu Baizhi had chased him out to persuade him, asking what Zhou Chuan had become like in the past three years.
Jiang Yucheng retorted sarcastically, didn't Gu Baizhi know exactly how they broke up three years ago? Zhou Chuan was very angry when he heard about this; the biggest taboo for creators is plagiarism and blending ideas (róng gěng). Chu Li was still working overtime late at night. Zhou Chuan called and said he had a cold. Chu Li reluctantly agreed to go make him porridge in an hour, as it was hard to squeeze onto a bus during rush hour.
Zhou Chuan said "Oh" and hung up, then went to pick her up. Chu Li thought he was really hungry, and as soon as she got home, she started cooking for him. Zhou Chuan wanted to find something to talk to her about, but Chu Li was in a hurry to finish cooking and proofread, so she shooed Zhou Chuan out.
Zhou Chuan lay on the sofa and bragged to Jiang Yucheng that a young girl was cooking for him, and he finally felt like he was living. Chu Li finished the porridge and received a message saying the road outside her home was being repaired and the water and electricity would be cut off in half an hour. Chu Li planned to spend the night at an internet cafe.
However, Zhou Chuan wanted to take Chu Li to a hotel, giving her a choice between a hotel and his home. Chu Li completely refused the hotel. Zhou Chuan told her to buy some intimate clothing at the entrance and make do in the study for the night. Chu Li was curiously flipping through books in the study.
Zhou Chuan quietly appeared behind her and took away the book by Natsume Sōseki, saying that one must be guarded against others, but in reality, there was a note inside the book for Monkey Jun. He had planned to mail it to her when he thought she wouldn't find a job and would return home. Chu Li received a friend request from Fox Jun and haughtily refused it. Zhou Chuan said she was ungrateful.
The two finally started chatting again with great difficulty. Chu Li said she was reading the manuscript at an internet cafe. Monkey Jun teased her, saying she was hiding at a man's house, which startled Chu Li. General Manager Luo came to drink with Gu Baizhi, telling her to reflect on whether she had given her full effort regarding Jiang Yucheng. Everyone has weaknesses and desires, and so does Jiang Yucheng.
As an editor, Gu Baizhi couldn't convince her author to blend ideas (róng gěng). While reviewing the manuscript, Chu Li found many inconsistencies. Zhou Chuan quickly snatched the pen and made changes. Chu Li was circled in his arms, and her heart suddenly beat faster. Zhou Chuan came out after taking a shower, and Chu Li had already fallen asleep on the table. Zhou Chuan couldn't carry her, so he carefully draped a blanket over her.
The next day, Chu Li woke up and found Zhou Chuan asleep on the sofa. Mischievously, she took a photo and put a blanket over him, specifically thanking him for helping her finish reading the remaining manuscript. Chu Li submitted the initial proofreading and editing. Yu Yao told her and Du Niaoniao to continue working on the Moonlight project.
A Xiang told Chu Li that this project was a collaborative effort with almost no pay, so she was worried if Chu Li could find the author. Chu Li only knew Zhou Chuan, so she called him for his opinion. Zhou Chuan refused without looking back. He then turned around and, as Fox Jun, advised Monkey Jun to try again. Chu Li quickly called Zhou Chuan back again. Zhou Chuan refused again.
Despite saying that, Zhou Chuan still went to find Jiang Yucheng and asked if he had time to help write something, as she was a reader of Jiang Yucheng. Jiang Yucheng then realized that his old reader was Zhou Chuan's online friend and editor, and also Chu Li who often came to the bookstore. He agreed to help. Jiang Yucheng sent the manuscript to Chu Li.
Yu Yao praised the manuscript endlessly after reading it and asked Lao Miao to give it a separate layout. Editor-in-chief Xia was very serious about the proofreading, but most of what he talked about was Du Niaoniao's manuscript. Instead, he called Chu Li to his office. Chu Li thought there was a problem with the "Luohe Shen Shu" manuscript. Editor-in-chief Xia said she had done quite well and encouraged her to keep working hard and stay humble.
Editor-in-chief Xia took out the manuscripts of authors he had worked with at Yuan Yue Publishing House over several decades and asked Chu Li to see if she could photograph them and upload them to the computer so they wouldn't get lost. Chu Li was curious if there were Jiang Yucheng's manuscripts inside. Zhou Chuan saw Jiang Yucheng's opening remarks and found them too brilliant and a bit strange. Jiang Yucheng quickly denied it.
The two originally planned to go out and have fun, but Zhou Chuan suddenly said he remembered something and asked Jiang Yucheng to stop the car. Chu Li came early and bought the magazine. She was very happy to see her name appear. When she returned to Yuan Yue Publishing House, she found Zhou Chuan had arrived. He was going out of town to relax and wanted to check on the progress of "Luohe Shen Shu".
Chu Li quickly introduced A Xiang to Zhou Chuan, saying she would be responsible for the artwork. Zhou Chuan suggested a fresh and stylish look. A Xiang quickly agreed. Zhou Chuan said he would be gone for a week. Chu Li wasn't worried at all, as Jiang Yucheng was there. Zhou Chuan chose covers in the book storage area. The styles were more mismatched than the last. Chu Li was a bit speechless. The two got close again in the narrow aisle, and the atmosphere was ambiguous.
