Lin Dong desperately dug through the sand to unearth Huanhuan, while outside, Qingzhu and Xiao Yan tried various methods to free them from the collapsing Great Wilderness Ancient Tablet. Lin Dong called out to Huanhuan, urging everyone to exert their maximum energy simultaneously after he counted to three. Despite their combined efforts, they failed to break the enchantment.
Realizing their predicament, Huanhuan, Xiao Diao, Xiao Yan, and Qingzhu decided to channel all their energy into Lin Dong, hoping he could open it. To their surprise, the enchantment shattered, and the group reunited. Lin Dong joyfully declared that reuniting alive was always a good thing, and the group celebrated with a hug. Xiao Yan enthusiastically proposed a group hug, and Xiao Diao joined in the embrace, while Lin Langtian was left aside.
After their escape, Lin Dong asked Qingzhu if she had seen Qingtan outside the Ancient Tablet. Qingzhu sadly confirmed that Teng Cha had captured Qingtan, apologizing for her inability to save her. Lin Dong assured her it wasn't her fault, then deduced that the Dimension Talisman must have also been taken by Teng Cha. Xiao Diao remarked that the seal of the Dimension Talisman couldn't be easily opened by an ordinary expert, indicating the situation's complexity. Suddenly, Mu Qianqian appeared.
She had seen Teng Cha leaving the Ancient Tablet with Qingtan and pursued them, discovering collusion between the Yin Puppet Sect and Yi-Demons. Lin Dong, who had also obtained a spiritual map confirming the Yi-Demon presence, expressed his urgency to rescue Qingtan. Mu Qianqian offered to take care of the unconscious Yuan Gate disciple Lin Langtian, stating that once he woke up, she would bring him to join Lin Dong and his companions to help.
Lin Dong thanked her, but as they departed, he mentioned to Huanhuan that he kept sensing a familiar scent on Mu Qianqian, though he couldn't quite place it. Huanhuan playfully dismissed it, suggesting Senior Mu simply liked to doll up, and Xiao Diao chimed in, jokingly calling Lin Dong an expert in "smelling women." Lin Dong then asked Huanhuan if he smelled nice, to which she retorted that he smelled like dirt.
Lin Langtian eventually regained consciousness to find Mu Qianqian attending to him. He immediately questioned her, asking if Teng Cha had indeed abducted Qingtan. Mu Qianqian confirmed it, explaining she was alone and unable to counter the Yin Puppet Sect, which had connived with the Yi-Demons. Lin Langtian, distraught, declared he was going to find Qingtan.
Mu Qianqian stopped him, asserting that in his current state, he couldn't control the Dimension Talisman, and demanded he hand it over so she could return it to Yuan Gate and report her mission completion. When Lin Langtian pressed about Qingtan's fate, Mu Qianqian coldly stated it was "none of his business" and urged him to focus on dealing with the Yi-Demons instead of trying to save everyone.
Lin Langtian then realized Mu Qianqian had never intended to save Qingtan; her plan from the start was to use him and Qingtan's energy to acquire the Dimension Talisman. He refused to relinquish it, insisting he must save Qingtan first, even if it meant facing punishment from Yuan Gate later. Enraged, Mu Qianqian screamed that he would be powerless to save her once he abandoned her, declaring him "nothing at all" without her.
Meanwhile, inside the Yin Puppet Sect, Teng Cha was tending to his injured son, Teng Lei, who was still recovering. Teng Lei, noticing his father's missing arm, lamented his father's kindness compared to Lin Dong's ruthlessness and expressed despair over his own disability. Believing Lin Dong was still sealed within the Great Wilderness Ancient Tablet, Teng Cha swore to make the Talisman Guild pay with their lives to heal his son and avenge their losses.
Suddenly, Lin Dong appeared, demanding his sister back. Teng Cha, enraged, called it a delusion and vowed to break all four of Lin Dong's limbs for harming Teng Lei and severing his arm. Lin Dong, unmoved, engaged Teng Cha and two others in a fierce battle with his ancient halberd. Teng Lei, seeing his father struggling, fled to summon more Yin Puppet Sect members. Lin Dong, despite being outnumbered, fought valiantly.
Teng Cha, surprised by Lin Dong's strength, questioned how his yuan energy had increased so rapidly, to which Lin Dong cryptically replied he wouldn't fight without preparation. Just as Lin Dong seemed overwhelmed, Xuan Su and other Talisman Guild members arrived, shouting to protect their Guild President. Lin Dong swiftly defeated their opponents and captured Teng Lei, declaring he would exchange him for Qingtan. Huanhuan expressed relief at Xuan Su's timely arrival.
Xuan Su suggested they could now negotiate with the Yin Puppet Sect, though she worried Lin Dong's impetuous nature might lead him into a trap set by Teng Lei. Lin Dong interrogated Teng Lei about Qingtan's whereabouts, but Teng Lei defiantly claimed she was dead. Enraged, Lin Dong moved to kill Teng Lei, but Qingzhu intervened, urging him not to be impulsive as they still needed Teng Lei as a hostage.
She questioned why the Talisman Guild and Yin Puppet Sect, originating from the same lineage, were irreconcilable adversaries. Teng Lei responded with scorn, demanding to know why only the Talisman Guild should be master of the world. Lin Dong, weary of the burden, offered him the position of Guild President, explaining its immense pressure and responsibilities.
He confessed he was just an ordinary man, unable to protect his family, and would choose to protect Qingtan and his family over guarding the world. Teng Lei, scoffing at Lin Dong's emotional display, declared he would guard the world. Lin Dong warned that the Yi-Demons were instigating the strife between Talisman Guild and Yin Puppet Sect, and that if the Yi-Demons succeeded, all talk of ancestral talismans and orthodox gurus would be meaningless.
Teng Lei remained dismissive, but then suddenly recalled Mu Qianqian's frequent transformations, suspecting she might be an Yi-Demon. At that very moment, a Yi-Demon, disguised as Mu Qianqian, appeared and brutally killed Teng Lei before disappearing. In the Yin Puppet Sect's chambers, Qingtan lay bound. Teng Cha, sensing his son's demise, vowed a blood debt would be paid with blood and commanded the activation of the Mythical Enchantment of Nine Yin Demons.
Meanwhile, Qingzhu informed Lin Dong and the others that Teng Lei was dead, killed by an Yi-Demon, leaving them without a hostage and Qingtan in grave danger. Xuan Su urged them to plan carefully, but Lin Dong, Xiao Yan, and the rest of the Talisman Guild insisted on immediately charging Teng Cha's stronghold. They pledged their unwavering support to Lin Dong.
As they approached, they witnessed a terrifying phenomenon in the sky, a blood-red light indicating the activation of Teng Cha's enchantment. Xuan Su explained that Teng Cha had used Qingtan as the core of the Mythical Enchantment of Nine Yin Demons, a powerful secret art of the Yin Puppet Sect, making its power truly frightening.
Despite the immense danger, Lin Dong declared he would save Qingtan and offered himself as the enchantment's core in exchange for her, arguing that if he couldn't save his sister, he couldn't save the world. Xuan Su revealed that the enchantment's refinement would take five days, allowing a small window for them to find another solution. Lin Dong decided to seek Master Yan's help by entering the spiritual domain, with Qingzhu cautioning him to be careful.
Lin Dong met Master Yan in the spiritual realm, pleading for help to save Qingtan and deal with the Yi-Demon within the Yin Puppet Sect. Master Yan stated he could not break the enchantment, nor could Lin Dong in his current state, but suggested that the deceased Xia Wanjin could. Lin Dong was incredulous, reminding him that Xia Wanjin was dead.
Master Yan clarified that even a dead person could provide a solution, suggesting that Xia Wanjin's secret stash, accumulated during his years in Dakui City, might contain something capable of breaking the enchantment. Lin Dong, resolute in his decision to protect his family and eliminate the Yi-Demons, told Master Yan he didn't need to think about it. Master Yan then blessed him to overcome the obstacles ahead. Back in the physical world, the group searched Xia Wanjin's former merchant association.
Xiao Yan doubted they would find anything, and Huanhuan joked that Xia Wanjin only cared about making money. Xiao Diao, however, excitedly discovered something. Qingzhu identified it as Xia Wanjin's personal stash, containing the secrets of the Yin Puppet Sect written in Talisman Script. Among the texts, they found instructions for the "Herbal Talisman of Nine Yang Divinities," the only known method to break the Yin Puppet Sect's three forbidden spells, including the Mythical Enchantment of Nine Yin Demons.
The talisman required the blood of three virgin men. Lin Dong quickly identified himself, Xiao Yan, and Xiao Diao as the three needed. However, when it came time, Xiao Diao emphatically refused, saying he was "unable to help" because he was not a virgin, challenging anyone to find a "900-year-old virgin marten."
