Lost You Forever Season 2 Episode 19 Recap
> Lost You Forever Season 2 Recap
Xiyan Cang Xuan calmly admitted to killing Tushan Jing. The news hit like a bolt from the blue, leaving Xiling Jiuyao heartbroken. She couldn’t comprehend why her brother would be so cruel. Torn between anger and grief, she lost control and raised her blade, aiming directly at Cang Xuan’s vital point. Cang Xuan, shocked, was filled more with confusion and sorrow. He never imagined his sister would come to hate him so much because of love.
Despite struggling to resist, he ultimately chose to give up, letting the blade pierce his skin and dye his robe in blood. Kneeling on the ground, Cang Xuan was overwhelmed with confusion and unwillingness. He murmured to himself, expressing his deep affection and incomprehension for Xiling Jiuyao—why love should turn into hurt. Holding the trembling hilt, Jiuyao listened to her brother’s confession, her heart writhing in pain.
Cang Xuan even pressed his hand against the blade, attempting to die with her, this determination driving Jiuyao to break down and scream. Their grandfather rushed in upon hearing the noise and stopped the tragedy just in time. Yet from the all-knowing look in his eyes, Jiuyao saw despair—so they had known the truth all along. She collapsed to the floor, questioning them in anguish, and could only sit helplessly as tears streamed down like a fountain. Night fell.
Her grandfather entered Jiuyao’s room and advised her earnestly, saying that what Cang Xuan did was a moment of weakness, and urged her not to fall into the abyss of hatred. After listening, Jiuyao was filled with disillusionment; her trust in the family was gone. With teary eyes, she asked her grandfather how things had come to this.
He sighed, mentioning her parents' sacrifice for the greater good, and told her not to let personal grudges bring disaster to the people. He then ordered her to be strictly guarded to prevent any mishap. Jiuyao sneered, saying she had been imprisoned by the Nine-Tailed Fox for thirty years, and now feared nothing. If they wanted to stop her revenge, they might as well kill her now.
Her grandfather could only shake his head helplessly and leave, letting her lick her wounds alone in the night. The former King of Xiyan separated Jiuyao and Cang Xuan, forbidding them from seeing each other. However, Cang Xuan cleverly sent her wine and mulberries, secretly passing her a key. While toying with the mulberries, Jiuyao unexpectedly discovered the key and used it to unlock her shackles.
Now free, she decided to go to Phoenix Grove, the place filled with memories of her and Cang Xuan. In the depths of the grove, she indeed found him. Their eyes met—so many emotions left unsaid. Jiuyao thanked him for the key and mocked herself, saying she had been trapped all her life, never expecting the key to be used to unlock the shackles placed on her by family and brother.
Cang Xuan tried to mend things with the childhood swing. Jiuyao agreed, but her heart was already fractured. Sitting on the swing, she slowly spoke of the Cang Xuan brother in her heart, whose innocent image had perished along with Tushan Jing. She then got off the swing and bluntly said she once dreamed of growing old with Cang Xuan, picking flowers and swinging in Phoenix Grove—but now, all of that had been destroyed by his actions.
She declared that since Cang Xuan had killed Tushan Jing, she would fulfill her vow of revenge. Cang Xuan quietly accepted Jiuyao’s resolve. She handed him a phoenix flower and frankly told him it was laced with deadly poison. Cang Xuan took it without hesitation and tasted its nectar. Jiuyao followed suit, vowing to live and die together. Sitting side by side, they tasted one poisonous flower after another. However, Jiuyao unexpectedly succumbed to the poison first.
Cang Xuan held her weakening body tightly and asked whether she would do the same if Tushan Jing had harmed him. Jiuyao shook her head and said Tushan Jing knew how much he meant to her and would never let her suffer a bit of pain. Cang Xuan, filled with regret, apologized and admitted he had treated her like a pawn. Jiuyao gently wiped away his tears and said she had forgiven everything.
Cang Xuan then asked if, given the chance to go back in time, she would choose him. Jiuyao coughed blood before she could answer. Cang Xuan suddenly realized there was no poison in her flower—she had only sacrificed herself to protect him. Jiuyao died with a smile, and Cang Xuan held her cold body, tears of despair pouring down.
