> Lost You Forever Season 2 Recap

Haoling Yi broke into the Xiyan military camp alone, intending to assassinate Xiyan Cang Xuan, but was unfortunately subdued on the spot by Yu Jiang. However, Yu Jiang, aware of Haoling Yi’s noble status, dared not use force and simply bound her. Soon after, Chishui Fenglong and Tushan Jing arrived and immediately demanded that Yu Jiang release her. Tushan Jing even arranged for someone to help Haoling Yi freshen up.

After she changed clothes, Cang Xuan hurriedly entered the room, his face filled with worry as he asked whether she was hurt. Faced with his familiar face, Haoling Yi was torn—torn between revenge and hesitation. In the end, she pleaded with Cang Xuan to stop attacking Haoling, but he refused. This left her devastated, and she broke down in tears, unable to accept the harsh reality.

As night fell, Xiling Xiao Yao visited Haoling Yi out of concern, but Yi was resentful, believing she, like Cang Xuan, was a liar who could not be trusted. Confronted by Yi’s accusations, Xiao Yao calmly explained what she had done upon learning the truth, including her plea to Cang Xuan and the resulting fallout. These explanations gradually eased Yi’s hostility, though she still resented Xiao Yao for not visiting sooner.

Xiao Yao sincerely apologized and shared her emotional struggle upon learning her own origins. Deeply moved, Haoling Yi responded that no matter Xiao Yao’s background, she would always be her sister. This understanding brought Xiao Yao to tears, and the misunderstanding between the two was finally resolved. —However, the next day, when Xiao Yao prepared a table full of dishes for Haoling Yi with great anticipation, she learned that Yi had already left the camp, leaving her disappointed.

Meanwhile, Haoling Yi had been sent to Roushou. She blamed herself for failing to assassinate Cang Xuan and felt worthless. But Roushou gently comforted her, pointing out that her kindness and compassion were strengths, not weaknesses. To divert her attention, Roushou cleverly devised a plan that left Yu Jiang seriously injured. Fortunately, Xiao Yao arrived just in time to save Yu Jiang, preserving his life.

This series of events not only showcased Xiao Yao’s bravery and medical skills but also made Haoling Yi recognize her sister's shining qualities, further strengthening their bond. A court official formally proposed that Roushou marry Haoling Yi, but both parties clearly refused the suggestion. The King of Haoling did not press the issue, showing his tolerance and understanding.

As for the sensitive matter of the crown prince, the king sensed that the Baihu and Changxi clans were likely already strategizing anew. On the battlefield, the Haoling army led by Roushou dealt a heavy blow to the Xiyan forces, achieving notable results. Chishui Fenglong, worried about Cang Xuan’s safety, advised him to return as soon as possible. But Cang Xuan, sensing something important was about to happen, chose to stay.

Soon after, emissaries from the Changxi clan arrived, announcing that Baihu and Changxi had decided to surrender to Xiyan. This caused a huge uproar in Haoling, and everyone was furious. The King of Haoling decided to lead the army himself, but he fainted from weakness. At this critical moment, Haoling Yi stepped forward and declared she would lead the army in her father’s place, demonstrating her sense of responsibility and courage as a princess.

When Xiling Xiao Yao heard this, she had mixed feelings. She asked Cang Xuan if he knew about Haoling Yi’s decision. Cang Xuan replied that he did, but believed Yi was not suited for military command and suspected there was more to the story. Therefore, he decided to lead the army himself. This disappointed Xiao Yao deeply. She chose to leave alone to visit the ailing King of Haoling at Wushen Mountain.

—Later, Xiling Xiao Yao and Xiyan Cang Xuan disguised themselves as Tushan Jing’s attendants and successfully infiltrated the Haoling royal palace. Though weak, the King of Haoling insisted on meeting them. During their conversation, he confided in Xiao Yao, explaining the complicated emotional entanglements between him and her mother and trying to untie the knot in her heart.

In the end, the king decided to take Xiao Yao to the Baili Chichen Village, the former home of her parents, hoping she could find her own answers there. When Xiao Yao entered the house, she unexpectedly encountered a person completely wrapped up, who introduced themselves as the house guardian. Xiao Yao asked to hear the story of Chichen and Xiling Heng. The guardian slowly recounted: here, Chichen was not the great villain the world believed, but a beloved Beast King; and Xiling Heng was not a heroic general, but simply Chichen’s wife, a healer who saved lives and was honored by the Baili people as the Xiling Witch.
