> Light Chaser Rescue Recap

Li Jian contacted Zhou Mingming, falsely claiming that he and his friends were lost in the mountains without food or water, and asked him to send for help. In reality, Li Jian, Yang Zhao, Dabao, and a female friend were enjoying food and drinks at their campsite. When Zhou Mingming called back to inform them that the Light Chaser Rescue team was on its way, they panicked.

Realizing their prank had gone too far, they turned off their phones and fled deeper into the woods to maintain their ruse. Upon arriving, the rescue team, led by Zhou Mingming and including Dapeng, Xiong Fei, and others, found the pranksters' still-warm food containers. It was clear they had only just left, not been missing for hours as claimed, which infuriated the team. Despite his anger, Zhou Mingming insisted they continue the search, stressing their duty to ensure everyone's safety.

Meanwhile, the pranksters, now genuinely exhausted and covered in insect bites, decided to turn back and apologize. However, they soon discovered they were truly lost, having walked in circles, leading to arguments among them. Fortunately, Xiong Fei spotted their footprints, allowing the rescue team to track them down. The team found the exhausted group, whose first demand was for water. Zhou Mingming, enraged by their dangerous and wasteful prank, confronted them.

When Li Jian ungratefully complained about the limited water supply, Zhou Mingming snapped, verbally disowning him as a brother and warning the group they would face legal consequences if any rescuer had been injured because of their stunt. Racked with guilt, Li Jian, Yang Zhao, and Dabao sought out Ding Dingding, hoping she could mediate.

During their conversation, Ding Dingding learned that Zhou Mingming's mother was hospitalized and his company, Mingmei Media, was on the verge of collapse due to a financial crisis. Deeply concerned, she went to Zhou Mingming and offered him 800,000 yuan, raised from the royalties of her current comic and the pre-sale of her next one to a publisher. Zhou Mingming adamantly refused the money, explaining he had already mortgaged his house.

If the movie project failed, not only would he lose his home, but her hard-earned money would be gone too. Ding Dingding insisted she would support him even if he lost everything, but he remained firm, unwilling to let her make such a sacrifice. Determined to earn forgiveness, the three pranksters went to the Light Chaser base. Zhou Mingming told them he would only forgive them if every team member who searched for them did so first.

They started with Dapeng, who hazed them by making them run up and down a steep training path. Later, after other team members like Xiong Fei expressed a willingness to move on if they learned their lesson, Dapeng, claiming to relay a message from his "wife," delivered the official punishment: they must complete one thousand hours of either volunteer work or basic rescue training. The trio readily agreed.

They subsequently participated in a fire safety demonstration and struggled through a grueling training session carrying heavy equipment. The experience gave them a profound respect for the rescuers' hardship, leading Li Jian to declare that he would personally oppose anyone who disrespected the rescue team in the future. Meanwhile, Ding Dingding stayed at the hospital to care for Zhou Mingming's mother, Ms. Ma.

Despite Ms. Ma's cold demeanor and repeated attempts to send her away, Ding Dingding persisted with kindness, bringing her fruit and desserts. Ms. Ma's attitude began to soften. Seeing Ding Dingding dozing uncomfortably in a chair by her bed, she gruffly told her to get a proper cot if she insisted on staying, a veiled gesture of concern that Ding Dingding gratefully accepted.

Separately, Zhan Yan prepared for a long absence, checking her father Zhan Qingshan's blood pressure and organizing his medication. She revealed she was leaving that night for a medical support mission in a mountainous region that would last at least a year, a long-held dream she had kept secret to prevent him from worrying. Though concerned, he supported her decision.

Her cousin, learning of the sudden departure and Zhan Yan's past leg surgery, tried to call Luo Ben, but Zhan Yan stopped her. After Zhan Yan left, her cousin texted Luo Ben, telling him about the mission and that his flight was in an hour, urging him not to have regrets. Having been contemplating the custom knee pads Zhan Yan had given him, Luo Ben frantically tried to call her, but her phone was already turned off.

Impressed by the positive change in his son after his experience with the rescue team, Li Jian's father decided to invest in Mingmei Media's film project, solving Zhou Mingming's financial crisis. His colleague, Li Aiqi, delivered the good news to Ms. Ma at the hospital, where Ms. Ma expressed her hope that Li Aiqi would become her daughter-in-law.
