Contrasting his directness with Huo Jian's past deceit in acquiring his father's shares, he gave Huo Jian a choice: face public humiliation or sign the declaration, which stipulated Huo Jian's voluntary resignation as chairman of Ocean Group and his recommendation of Li Zeliang as his successor. As the successful auction concluded, Su Xieyi unexpectedly returned, having rushed back after a revealing phone call from Dr. Wu.
She had learned that Li Zeliang's leg injury was from two years prior, sustained while saving someone on a rainy day.
