Zhou Shengchen held Shi Yi tightly until dawn. Neither of them wanted to get out of bed. Zhou Shengchen casually asked if a man and woman sharing a room would be checked. Zhou Wenxing sat at the main gate waiting for Mei Xing. Looking up, she saw it was pouring rain, but she still refused to go back inside. Mei Xing rushed back shortly after. Zhou Wenxing came out in the rain to meet him. Mei Xing quickly helped her wipe the rain from her head and body, complaining that she shouldn't have come out in the rain and worrying that she might get sick again.
Mei Xing took off his outer coat and put it on her, then escorted her back to her room. He peeled out the seeds one by one. Shi Yi had loved eating pomegranates since she was a child, and she happily ate to her heart's content. Shi Yi and Zhou Shengchen returned to Shanghai together.
Zhou Shengchen originally planned to stay in his single apartment, but Shi Yi took him home and also prepared a study room for him. The two of them began living together.
