Yu Xiaogang tracked Su Yuntao yesterday, and personally saw him enter Suotuo City Lord's Mansion. As a result, the next day the city was plastered with notices. The City Lord admitted Shi Lan Ke School's teaching qualifications. Yu Xiaogang suspected the City Lord made this decision under pressure from the Martial Soul Hall. He was worried and wanted to go see Headmaster Lan De.

Lan De saw Yu Xiaogang from afar and directly flew down from the second floor, excitedly embracing him tightly. Since the Golden Iron Triangle disbanded, they had not seen each other for many years. Lan De couldn't wait to take Yu Xiaogang indoors to reminisce. Yu Xiaogang envied Lan De's free and easy life. Lan De guessed that Ou Si Ke was eavesdropping outside and caught him red-handed on the spot.

Yu Xiaogang asked Lan De about the relationship between the Martial Soul Hall and Shi Lan Ke School. Lan De clearly stated that Shi Lan Ke School would not have ties with anyone, and that both Hu Liena and Zhu Zhuqing came for Dai Mubai. Yu Xiaogang immediately decided to stay at Shi Lan Ke School as an instructor and would teach students for free. Lan De guessed he was doing it for Tang San.

Yu Xiaogang had made a promise to Tang San's father to protect Tang San well. Lan De was curious about Tang San's father's identity, but Yu Xiaogang avoided answering. Lan De grandly introduced Yu Xiaogang to the students, asking him to give them theoretical classes, starting formally tomorrow. Ou Si Ke took Tang San to the dormitory. Dai Mubai was complaining loudly in the room.

He felt that Yu Xiaogang, who only had two Soul Rings, was not qualified to teach at all. Tang San vigorously defended Yu Xiaogang. Yu Xiaogang heard this from outside the door and quickly called Tang San away. Tang San soon found a blacksmith shop in the city and decided to work there part-time to earn living expenses.

Yu Xiaogang accidentally discovered that Lan De was using money to help the lonely elderly people in the village and developed admiration for him. Yu Xiaogang began to teach Martial Soul theory to the new students. Dai Mubai was very dismissive, feeling that practical combat was far more useful than theory. Lan De came up with a good idea. Early the next morning, Lan De asked the new students to help the nearby Yehuo Village deal with a strange incident.

A passing merchant saw a black monster run out of a fire and enter Yehuo Village. He and Yu Xiaogang took the new students to the village entrance and left, wanting to test their ability to work together. Dai Mubai volunteered to be the overall commander of this operation. Zhu Zhuqing was not convinced, and the two immediately got into a fierce argument. Ou Si Ke quickly mediated between them.

Dai Mubai and the other five (a total of six people) arrived in the village. Tang San noticed that there were many chickens in the village and found it strange, but the others didn't ask much. They continued walking and saw a burnt house, but the grass around the house was still green. Tang San thought the fire must have been blocked and didn't spread. Dai Mubai wasn't sure, so he went to the village chief to understand the situation.

Hu Liena stood in front of the house and observed it carefully for a long time. Dai Mubai asked the village chief about the black monster. The village chief repeatedly insisted it was just a simple fire and there was no monster in the village at all. Tang San asked the village chief for details about the burnt house at the village entrance. The village chief tried hard to cover up, claiming the villagers put out the fire in time.

He promised to treat them to dinner that night and also promised everyone a gold soul coin. Dai Mubai wanted to go find the villagers to understand the situation, but unexpectedly Hu Liena had already found out. The village chief had no choice but to admit that on the day of the fire, he personally saw a black monster with red eyes rush out of the fire.

Since then, no abnormality was found in the village, and he did not continue to investigate. Dai Mubai promised to thoroughly investigate the truth for free. The village chief then had to say that there was also a surviving child named Ma Hongjun from that family, but he had disappeared due to the shock. Dai Mubai asked everyone to split up and look for Ma Hongjun.

Tang San asked the village chief why there were so many chickens in the village; he didn't know either. The village chief revealed that the big fire had killed Ma Hongjun's father. Tang San suspected Ma Hongjun went to pay respects at his father's grave, so he took Xiao Wu to look for him. Ou Si Ke wanted to stay and engage in artistic creation.
