Jin Mi confronted the Heavenly Empress, Tu Yao, boldly stating that someone with supreme power like her actually feared Jin Mi, which was a surprising revelation. Tu Yao, enraged, denied this, questioning why Jin Mi would accuse her of fear when she was using hellfire against her instead of facing her directly. Tu Yao declared Jin Mi an evildoer and vowed to kill her personally, proclaiming she would destroy Jin Mi and vanish her soul.
Taking advantage of Tu Yao's fury, Jin Mi gathered her magic power and injured Tu Yao's hand. Seeing Jin Mi dare to attack her, Tu Yao, in a fit of rage, unleashed the Glazed Pure Fire, an extreme form of torture. Fortunately, Xu Feng appeared in time, shielding Jin Mi from the attack. Xu Feng questioned his mother's relentless obsession, but Tu Yao insisted that Jin Mi was the cause of the rift in their mother-son relationship.
Xu Feng then confessed that Jin Mi was carrying his child, further infuriating Tu Yao. She denounced Jin Mi as shameless, just like her mother, and vowed to burn both Jin Mi and the unborn child. Tu Yao violently threw Xu Feng aside and launched another powerful attack, but Run Yu arrived and bravely blocked it.
Just as Tu Yao prepared to strike again in her fury, the Water Immortal, Luo Lin, and the Heavenly Emperor, Tai Wei, arrived and intervened. The Water Immortal, consumed by rage, unleashed a fatal spell on Tu Yao. However, Xu Feng once again threw himself in front of his mother, taking the full force of the blow. In his dying moments, Xu Feng begged the Water Immortal to spare Tu Yao's life.
It was then that the Heavenly Emperor, Tai Wei, finally understood that Zi Fen, the former Floral Immortal and his beloved, had been murdered by his own empress. Discovering the truth, Tai Wei had Tu Yao apprehended and sent to Pisuo Jail, stripped her of her title as Heavenly Empress, and decreed that she would never again be allowed into the immortal ranks.
Meanwhile, Liu Ying remained tirelessly by Mu Ci's side, which finally led to a brief moment of his lucidity. Even upon waking, Mu Ci's words to Liu Ying were cold, but Liu Ying's heart ached for the suffering he had endured over the years. Mu Ci spoke of his deep-seated hatred for demons and how his own Spirit-Vanishing clan was seen as an inauspicious people. Liu Ying, however, revealed that the Spirit-Vanishing clan was not inauspicious at all.
She recounted how, while learning Shadow Magic, she and the King of Bian City had inadvertently uncovered the King of Gu City's scheme: he had falsely claimed to be acting under the Demon Lord's orders to force the Spirit-Vanishing clan to create Spirit-Vanishing Arrows, only to eradicate the entire clan afterward. It was by chance that Mu Ci had been shot by Liu Ying's arrow, which ultimately saved his life.
Mu Ci was devastated by Liu Ying's revelation, realizing that his years of wandering, seeking revenge and repaying perceived kindness, enduring his role as Tu Yao's puppet, had all been based on a fabricated lie. The King of Bian City had depleted a significant amount of his magic power trying to save Mu Ci, yet Mu Ci showed no signs of improvement. Liu Ying anxiously asked her father how to save Mu Ci.
The King of Bian City explained that the last stage of hellfire, Glazed Pure Fire, could burn away the children of the Autopsy Wild Silkworms within Mu Ci, completely curing his condition. However, this would drastically shorten Mu Ci's lifespan to only ten years, and his magic power would gradually fade, leaving him an ordinary mortal.
Liu Ying immediately declared her willingness to use her own bone marrow to extend Mu Ci's life, even if it meant losing all her own magic power. Mu Ci, hidden nearby, overheard their conversation. Realizing he could no longer be a burden to Liu Ying, he quietly left the Demon Realm. Jin Mi was plagued by nightmares. Upon waking, she found solace only when she saw the Water Immortal by her side.
Still distraught, Jin Mi anxiously declared her desire to avenge her mother, Zi Fen, and Rou Rou. When Luo Lin gently restrained her, she broke down in despair. The Water Immortal then presented her with an ice blade, forged from Yisheng Ice and imbued with half of his own cultivation. He instructed Jin Mi to keep it with her as a means of self-defense should she encounter danger again.
The Heavenly Emperor, Tai Wei, visited the Water Immortal to inquire about Jin Mi's condition. Luo Lin, however, found Tai Wei's treatment of Tu Yao far too lenient. He sternly warned Tai Wei that from that moment on, for the sake of his daughter, he would act without any restraint. Tai Wei claimed he was helpless in the situation, professing that he had genuinely loved Zi Fen.
Luo Lin challenged the sincerity of his "love," pointing out that Tai Wei's decision to imprison Tu Yao was not out of guilt for Zi Fen, but rather because Tu Yao had lost her political usefulness and become an obstacle. In Pisuo Jail, Tai Wei visited Tu Yao, hoping she would reflect on her actions. Instead, he found her as arrogant and unyielding as ever.
Tu Yao challenged his hypocrisy, recalling their past alliance and the Bird Tribe's pivotal role in his rise to power, accusing him of ingratitude and inconstancy once he became Heavenly Emperor. Tai Wei, in turn, listed her atrocities, including killing Su Li and ultimately Zi Fen. Tu Yao lashed back, questioning whether her true crime was killing Zi Fen or merely hurting his heart.
She bitterly observed the historical parallel of Jin Mi seducing Xu Feng, echoing Zi Fen's relationship with Tai Wei. Tai Wei condemned her unrepentant nature, branding her a "jealous mortal woman." Tu Yao lamented her fate, saying she only gained a cold throne, never his true affection, and felt endless sorrow pursuing a heartless man. Tai Wei acknowledged his past guilt concerning Zi Fen but insisted he had tolerated Tu Yao's transgressions.
Tu Yao dismissed his "tolerance" as self-serving, recounting his attempt to dethrone her after her father's death, which taught her the paramount importance of power. She then accused him of being just as ruthless, reminding him of his regicide to seize power, concluding that both of them were merely "prisoners of power." She reminded him of their solemn promise: his pledge that their son would be crown prince and they would rule the Heaven Realm together.
Tai Wei admitted she had changed and apologized, but explained that her position was now untenable due to the uproar and the need to curb the Bird Tribe's influence. Tu Yao, seemingly resigned, stated she had been Heavenly Empress long enough and expressed her only remaining wish: a secure future for her son, Xu Feng. Later, Jin Mi, still concerned about Xu Feng's condition, secretly went to Qiwu Palace in the middle of the night to check on him.
To her dismay, she found Sui He attending to him. Worse, Sui He leaned in and kissed the unconscious Xu Feng. Witnessing this, Jin Mi's Yun Elixir once again flared up, causing her intense heartache. Run Yu later found Jin Mi, concerned about her wandering out at night given her recent illness. Jin Mi asked him about his intimate relationships with other fairies.
Run Yu, affirming his commitment, reassured her that as they were engaged, he would never have any physical contact with other women. Jin Mi then expressed her profound grief for her mother and her sorrow over Xu Feng having Tu Yao as his mother. Run Yu, offering comfort, promised to handle all these difficult matters, then escorted her back to Luoxiang Mansion.
