Tangzhou groggily woke up and found Yan Dan expressionlessly searching his body, finally taking the lotus petal. Tangzhou mistakenly thought Yan Dan wanted to leave him, feeling dejected. He struggled to get up to kiss Yan Dan but was knocked unconscious on the spot by Yan Dan. Yan Dan searched Tangzhou and found the divine artifact Chou Mo, then revealed her true form. It turned out that all of this was carefully designed by Liu Weiyang.

He drugged Tangzhou and Yu Mo's tea, and then stole Chou Mo while Tangzhou was asleep. Yan Dan was troubled by love. Her thoughts lingered on Tangzhou, preventing her from settling down to continue writing "Records of the Mortal World". Yan Dan repeatedly reminded herself that Tangzhou had someone he yearned for in his dreams, and he had to return to the Heavenly Realm after completing his trial, at which point they would still be separated.

Yan Dan forced herself to calm down and diligently write her dramatic scripts. Fairy Yingdeng killed all the Flower Demons of the Flower Spirit tribe and absorbed their demonic essence one by one. Her spiritual energy greatly increased. Fairy Yingdeng swore that from now on, she would never again bow down to Tangzhou. Tangzhou, Yan Dan, and Yu Mo went to find Liu Weiyang early in the morning and discovered he was already gone.

The "As You Wish" wine on the table was untouched. Tangzhou then realized that everything that happened last night was Liu Weiyang's doing. Yan Dan wondered why Liu Weiyang hadn't drunk the "As You Wish" wine. Yu Mo thought Liu Weiyang just wanted to use them to get Chou Mo. Tangzhou called the Earth God over. Yan Dan deliberately revealed Li Chen. The Earth God recognized it as Sovereign Lord Zhaosheng's divine artifact at a glance and was greatly impressed.

Yan Dan lied, claiming the three of them were superior deities from the Heavenly Realm on a secret inspection tour and asked the Earth God to bring out the county annals. The Earth God handed it to her without a word. Yan Dan instructed the Earth God to brew a pot of good tea and bring it over.

Yan Dan eagerly opened the county annals and found that Sovereign Lord Changsheng, in order to kill the Demon King, sealed the Demon Aspect with Chou Mo, cutting off the Demon King's power supply. Yan Dan was greatly puzzled. Liu Weiyang could absorb the power of myriad demons from the Demon Aspect, so why did he go to such lengths to steal Chou Mo?

Tangzhou learned from the young immortal who saved him that Chou Mo could give life to all things and revive withered trees. Yu Mo believed Liu Weiyang wanted to use Chou Mo to awaken the Demon King, or even all the demons who died in the Immortal-Demon War, and then reignite the war against the Heavenly Realm.

Yan Dan found that the Eye of Myriad Demons was passed down through generations, complementing the Demon Aspect, capable of absorbing the power of myriad demons, and embedded in the Demon King's body, inseparable unless he died. Only the Demon King's blood could break it. Yu Mo recognized the Eye of Myriad Demons as the mark on Liu Weiyang, confirming that Liu Weiyang was the Demon King.

However, the portrait of the Demon King in the county annals only showed half a face. The Earth God happened to come with a pot of tea. Yan Dan asked her about the Demon King's facial features. The Earth God had also never seen his true face. Yu Mo asked the Earth God to describe the entire process of the Immortal-Demon War in detail. The fuse of the Immortal-Demon War was the death of immortal envoy Tao Ziqi.

The Demon King had long harbored the ambition to unify the six realms. He deliberately made Tao Ziqi fall in love with him, and when the time was ripe, he framed Tao Ziqi for attempting to assassinate him. The Demon King used the excuse that the Immortal Realm had broken the peace of the six realms and launched the Immortal-Demon War based on this reason. The Demon King also executed Tao Ziqi as a sacrifice.

The Immortal-Demon War ended with the complete defeat of the demon tribe. The dead were piled up into a mountain of bones and sealed in the River of Oblivion. Since then, little territory was left for the demon tribe. Fairy Yingdeng came to the River of Oblivion to summon nether power, wanting to use the Fire of Burning Heart to repair her artifact spirit. Fairy Yingdeng was solely focused on revenge.

Disregarding warnings and risking backlash, she endured the searing pain in her heart to repair the artifact spirit within her body. Fairy Yingdeng swore to make Yan Dan and Tangzhou suffer a hundredfold. Yu Mo and Tangzhou agreed that the two of them would go to the River of Oblivion to find Liu Weiyang, not wanting Yan Dan to join them on the dangerous trip. They specifically prepared a farewell banquet. Yan Dan insisted on living and dying with them.

Tangzhou worried she would be a burden. Yan Dan claimed she cultivated diligently every day and would absolutely not cause them trouble. Tangzhou had to admit that this trip was fraught with danger and they might not return, asking Yan Dan to go back to the Heavenly Realm to inform others. Yan Dan used the excuse that she was a demon and had the Earth God deliver the message, insisting on going with them.

Tangzhou and Yu Mo drugged Yan Dan's wine. Yan Dan quickly became drowsy. The two of them secretly went to the River of Oblivion. Yan Dan followed afterward. She had long seen through their plan and wanted to save the common people together with them. Malevolent spirits guarded the entrance to the River of Oblivion. Tangzhou wanted to subdue the malevolent spirits first to cover their entry into the River of Oblivion.

Yu Mo worried that the demonic creatures would seize the opportunity to escape and reminded him not to eliminate all of the malevolent spirits. The malevolent spirit spewed a cloud of poison gas. Yan Dan quickly covered Tangzhou's mouth and nose. Tangzhou desperately struggled to break free and attack the malevolent spirit. Yan Dan covered his mouth and nose again. Tangzhou's spell ring showed a reaction, and the Chenhua hairpin on Yan Dan's head also moved with it.

Yu Mo saw from afar that the two of them were moved by each other. Yan Dan loudly called Yu Mo for help. Yu Mo effortlessly dispelled the malevolent spirit that had trapped them. Yu Mo, Tangzhou, and Yan Dan successfully entered the River of Oblivion. They saw many people holding netherflame lanterns crossing the river. Yan Dan felt like she had been here before. Yu Mo quickly motioned for them to continue forward.

In front of them was a large rift. Yan Dan had heard the Earth God say that a Sovereign Lord once cleaved through a mountain to save a fairy, leaving behind this spotless rift. Yan Dan was very curious about their epic love story. Tangzhou felt a sharp pain in his chest. Yu Mo quickly interrupted Yan Dan and urged her to get to the mountain of bones as quickly as possible.

Yan Dan, Tangzhou, and Yu Mo arrived at the mountain of bones. Liu Weiyang had been waiting for a long time. He admitted that he was the Demon King Xuan Xiang and wanted to use Chou Mo to summon back Tao Ziqi's soul. Yu Mo thought that he killed Tao Ziqi back then and now wanted to revive her just to threaten the Heavenly Realm with this.

Liu Weiyang claimed that Tao Ziqi was the only one who didn't treat him as the Demon King but as Xuan Xiang. He would never kill Tao Ziqi; that was Shuo Hua acting in his guise using puppet. To prove his words, Liu Weiyang opened his memories. Liu Weiyang became the Demon King, the leader of the demon tribe, due to family inheritance.

However, because he was indifferent to fame and fortune and had no ambition for war, he was sidelined by the demon tribe Elders. Liu Weiyang thought his laissez-faire rule could bring peace to the demon tribe, but unexpectedly, the Elders fought among themselves, leading to immense suffering among the demon tribe's people. Tao Ziqi came to the demon tribe's territory and saw children whose relatives were captured in the war whipping a statue of the Demon King.

She quickly stopped to persuade them, strongly speaking favorably of the Demon King, and promised to rescue their relatives. Liu Weiyang witnessed this scene and also came masked to rescue the captured people. He and Tao Ziqi became fast friends at first sight. Shuo Hua heard the news and rushed over with troops. Although Tao Ziqi revealed her identity as a Heavenly Realm envoy, he didn't back down and mercilessly attacked Tao Ziqi.

Liu Weiyang rescued Tao Ziqi, and the two developed feelings for each other. Tao Ziqi learned of Liu Weiyang's determination for peace among the six realms and advised him to explain the truth to the Heavenly Realm. Liu Weiyang didn't want to be the Demon King of the demon tribe and wanted to fly away with Tao Ziqi as a couple.

He took out the Eye of Myriad Demons, split it in half, and gave one half to Tao Ziqi as a token of love, intending to go to the Nine Heavens to propose marriage the next day. Liu Weiyang woke up early the next morning and found Tao Ziqi gone.

Shuo Hua, holding the complete Eye of Myriad Demons, showed it to him to demonstrate his power, threatening that after unifying the six realms, he would let him and Tao Ziqi leave freely. Liu Weiyang was thereafter confined in the Demon King's Palace. Shuo Hua used puppet to impersonate the Demon King and initiate the Immortal-Demon War. The demon tribe ended in defeat.

Sovereign Lord Changsheng suppressed the Demon Aspect with Chou Mo, and most of the demon realm's territory was razed to the ground. Liu Weiyang only learned before losing his memory that Shuo Hua had used puppet to impersonate him and kill Tao Ziqi. He was heartbroken. Before her death, Tao Ziqi still believed Xuan Xiang had killed her. Liu Weiyang knew he couldn't revive Tao Ziqi by himself.

He had already set up a life-and-death array when Yan Dan, Tangzhou, and Yu Mo read his memories, wanting them to help him revive Tao Ziqi. If they disagreed, everyone would perish together. Liu Weiyang used the Purple Swan hairpin on Tao Ziqi's head to search for her remains. Yu Mo, Yan Dan, and Tangzhou searched separately on the high mountain of bones. Yan Dan suddenly slipped and fell.

Tangzhou rushed forward without hesitation to save her, and the spell ring on his wrist reacted again. Tangzhou endured the stabbing pain and held onto Yan Dan. Yan Dan urged him to let go, otherwise his injury would get worse, but Tangzhou refused to let go even if it meant death.
