You Are My Glory Episode 4 Recap
> You Are My Glory Recap
After driving Qiao Jingjing home, Yu Tu provided her with some fundamental game instructions and agreed to return at 9 AM the next day to begin her coaching. Exhilarated, Qiao Jingjing went inside and told her assistant, Xiao Zhu, that her girlhood dream of having the "top student" teach her "math" had come true.
Xiao Zhu later reported to Ms. Ling that Yu Tu had agreed to be the coach, though Ms. Ling found the situation unusual, especially after hearing they had apparently switched to "studying math." Yu Tu returned to the apartment he shared with Di Liang and joined an online game Qiao Jingjing was playing with him. When Di Liang asked why he was late, Yu Tu explained he had missed the last subway.
Over the in-game voice chat, Di Liang asked about the air purifier. Yu Tu deferred to "Cotton"—Qiao Jingjing's in-game name—and she confirmed it was fixed, praising his skill. Curious, she asked if they were colleagues, leading Yu Tu to explain they were university classmates and that he had recently resigned, now staying with Di Liang temporarily after his lease ended. When Di Liang later asked for Qiao Jingjing's opinion on Yu Tu's looks, she casually replied he was "not bad."
After the game, Di Liang noticed Yu Tu watching a professional match. Di Liang then pressed Yu Tu about Qiao Jingjing's looks. Remembering her ubiquitous posters, Yu Tu dismissively said she was the kind of girl you see everywhere. Di Liang chided him for being harsh, revealing that Qiao Jingjing had also found Yu Tu's looks "mediocre." Annoyed, Yu Tu told Di Liang to leave. After Di Liang left, Yu Tu recalled Qiao Jingjing's bright eyes and smiled to himself.
Later that night, Qiao Jingjing messaged Xiao Zhu to request a double breakfast but quickly retracted it. Instead, she messaged Yu Tu, asking him to bring her breakfast and realizing she hadn't yet added him on WeChat. The next morning, Yu Tu arrived punctually with a variety of breakfast items, unsure of her preferences. Qiao Jingjing suggested they save the leftovers for lunch so her assistant wouldn't have to come.
She then confirmed that Xiao Zhu would deliver lunch and dinner, implying Yu Tu would stay until 9 PM, to which he agreed. After breakfast, Yu Tu began his formal coaching. Qiao Jingjing explained that her manager's husband had taught her to play Support, but she preferred Wang Zhaojun. Yu Tu had her watch professional games, after which she noted the pros' cautious engagement and precise skill assessment.
She was particularly impressed when a Support player, You Yu of Team Luo Shen, became the MVP, making her realize the role was more critical than she'd been led to believe. Yu Tu acknowledged her Gold rank, achieved on her own, but then had her play on his Diamond-rank account. She struggled immensely, and he explained that the competition she would face required far more than proficiency with a single hero.
He tasked her with reaching the King rank on her own within the remaining month, a challenge she confidently accepted. Instead of ranked matches, Yu Tu started her with a rigorous 1v1 training regimen to familiarize her with every hero. Having studied the current game version, he instructed her on each hero's skills, damage, and cooldowns. He gave specific tips, such as using Yu Ji's second skill for physical immunity and correcting her skill choice for Donghuang Taiyi.
Throughout the "brutal training," Qiao Jingjing repeatedly muttered, "I must stay strong," after each defeat, at one point telling Yu Tu to stop watching her defeat screen before he instructed her to practice with Xiao Qiao. Xiao Zhu brought dinner, giving Qiao Jingjing a plain chicken breast while Yu Tu received a regular meal. Qiao Jingjing lamented her diet, and Xiao Zhu promised to clean up after Yu Tu left.
Later, Xiao Zhu returned to find Qiao Jingjing already cleaning; she admitted she had to feign diligence to hide her usual laziness from Yu Tu. After days of 1v1s, Yu Tu moved to the next phase: 3v3 matches in a custom lobby with AI teammates, where he would play on the opposing team. After a long session, Qiao Jingjing asked for a break from the AI and suggested they team up against human players. Yu Tu agreed.
During a team fight in the subsequent game, Yu Tu received a call from Xia Qing. When Qiao Jingjing asked if he would answer, he declined, choosing to finish the match first even as minions attacked her tower. After the game, Yu Tu told Qiao Jingjing he needed to make a call and would be leaving for the day, instructing her to continue practicing.
As he left, she worriedly wondered if Xia Qing was now in Shanghai and if she would lose her coach. Meanwhile, Xia Qing was waiting at a cafe in Lujiazui. When Yu Tu arrived, she explained she was on a business trip in Hangzhou but came to see him, having heard from a mutual friend that he was resigning from the aerospace institute. She questioned his decision, recalling how he had prioritized his aerospace dream over their relationship.
His willingness to abandon it now made her feel their past breakup was meaningless, remarking that he "could" give up his dream, just not for her. Yu Tu reminded her she knew of his ambitions before they were together. Xia Qing then updated him on her career, having become a marketing director. She mentioned hearing that Beijing's DF headquarters had given him an offer and offered her consulting services, as her office was in the same building.
Yu Tu thanked her but revealed he had already declined the offer, leaving her visibly disappointed. As they sat in silence, Xia Qing noticed Qiao Jingjing's face on a large public screen nearby.
