Qiao Jingjing had a great relationship with Yu Tu’s mother. She made a video call to show off the newly renovated home, and Yu Tu’s mother was overjoyed by their strong bond. It happened to be the weekend, and Chen Xue didn’t have any work in Shanghai. She called Jingjing and invited her and Yu Tu over for dinner. She also invited Duan Wu and Film Emperor Zhou so they could play mahjong after dinner.

Jingjing flatly refused to play mahjong, thinking it would make them seem unserious in front of Yu Tu, who was a scientist. Chen Xue immediately understood and decided to create an academically themed gathering. Jingjing arrived at Chen Xue’s house on time with Yu Tu. Duan Wu and Film Emperor Zhou were already there, rehearsing a script. Jingjing introduced Yu Tu, and the group mentioned that they were short an actor and dragged Jingjing into rehearsing with them.

After the rehearsal, the four of them discussed the script. Chen Xue confessed that they had originally been playing Dou Dizhu, but switched to acting when they saw Yu Tu and Jingjing arrive. After discussing the script’s flaw with the writer, the writer was thrilled and even added Yu Tu on WeChat to consult him further. Yu Tu was not only handsome but also highly capable. Chen Xue was thoroughly impressed and finally understood why Jingjing chose Yu Tu over Su Ye. She asked Jingjing, if she didn’t make so much money as an actress, would she still choose Yu Tu?

She left her ID at the gate, and the guard was surprised to see her. Ever since Da Meng had seen Jingjing, he’d been boasting about Yu Tu’s beautiful girlfriend.

Yu Tu officially introduced Jingjing at the game, stunning everyone—it turned out the star was Qiao Jingjing. Jingjing was always down-to-earth and approachable. She didn’t act like a diva and focused entirely on Yu Tu’s game after meeting his colleagues. Just like back in her youth, she cheered enthusiastically for him on the court. Yu Tu’s skills were just as good as back then, and his three-pointers earned endless praise from Jingjing.

After leaving the institute, she compared their ID photos. Yu Tu smiled and romantically hinted at marriage, asking when Jingjing would take a photo with him for their marriage certificate. Yu Tu’s intention to propose was obvious. Jingjing, swept up in happiness, visited both families with Yu Tu to discuss engagement and marriage. Later, they drove back to Shanghai. Jingjing discovered a group wedding event on Yu Tu’s institute’s official account and was excited—she wanted to join.
