Pei Pei held Yu Tu's driving license, found in Jingjing's backseat, and pressed Jingjing for details about their relationship, questioning if they were dating. Jingjing downplayed their reunion, explaining they had met in a game, and Yu Tu had come to her home to teach her how to play. Pei Pei scoffed, teasingly adding that other "wild men" like Zhao Yun, Li Bai, and Zhuge Liang didn't count.
Jingjing insisted nothing happened, stating that if she were dating Yu Tu, she wouldn't be out with Pei Pei alone. Pei Pei, observing Jingjing's phone, noticed a string of unanswered messages from Yu Tu and urged Jingjing not to keep the "proud top student" waiting. Jingjing denied doing so. Later, Pei Pei asked to borrow Jingjing's Honor of Kings account to experience high-level gameplay. Jingjing reluctantly handed over her phone.
Pei Pei was surprised by Jingjing's high win rate and exclaimed upon seeing two Penta Kills. Jingjing, taking her phone back, realized that Yu Tu had secretly earned those Penta Kills as a belated birthday gift after their recent entertainment match, as she hadn't logged in to see them. This clarified a past misunderstanding where she believed he hadn't given her a gift. Pei Pei suggested Yu Tu must have had his reasons for giving a gift so discreetly.
Jingjing recalled Yu Tu's earlier confession where he "overthought" their future, leading her to believe his affection was less than hers. Now, she understood his deep concern for their life together. With this newfound clarity, Jingjing, eager to see Yu Tu, immediately agreed to attend a high school reunion at a KTV when she saw the gathering mentioned in their class chat group.
Meanwhile, Yu Tu's aunt attempted to set him up with a single young woman, but Yu Tu politely declined, not wanting to waste anyone's time. He initially had no plans to attend the reunion. However, a classmate called him, mentioning that Qiao Jingjing, the superstar, would be attending. Upon hearing this, Yu Tu quickly ended the call and rushed out, hailing a taxi.
When traffic brought his taxi to a standstill, he paid the driver and ran towards the KTV, desperate not to miss Jingjing. Jingjing and Pei Pei arrived at the KTV, finding their classmates in a larger room, B11 of Zone B. Classmates excitedly greeted Jingjing, asking her to sing. As Jingjing performed a song, Yu Tu entered the room, his gaze fixed on her.
He watched her finish her song, then was immediately surrounded by male classmates who complimented his unchanging handsome appearance, while one lamented his own baldness. Yu Tu, however, walked directly to Jingjing, ignoring the others. He looked into her eyes and asked, in front of everyone, if she had come to the reunion because of him. Disarmed by his gentle demeanor, Jingjing ceased her internal resistance. Yu Tu suggested they leave, but Jingjing hesitated, feeling awkward about abandoning their classmates.
Without further words, Yu Tu leaned in and kissed her, then took her hand and led her out of the room, leaving the stunned classmates behind. Outside, Yu Tu tenderly helped Jingjing put on her coat and wrapped a scarf around her. Jingjing brought up the two Penta Kills, and Yu Tu explained he hadn't mentioned them because he hadn't achieved them playing alongside her, thinking they wouldn't count. He then asked if she had accepted his proposal.
Jingjing, playfully evasive, deflected by reminding him he still had other things to consider, like her question about Mars immigration. Just then, they heard people approaching on the fire escape stairs. Yu Tu, fearing Jingjing would be recognized, pulled her into a tight hug. He remarked that with her, even the fire escape stairs were no longer safe, but added that he had already gotten used to it. Yu Tu then led Jingjing to their old high school.
The guard recognized Yu Tu, who explained he was showing his school to his girlfriend, which amused Jingjing. She mentioned having visited that morning. As they strolled through the campus, holding hands, they recalled old memories. Jingjing teased Yu Tu about a time he was reprimanded for picking wild flowers with female classmates, and he reminded her of when she used to bribe him with fried chicken to teach her math.
Jingjing confided her past goal of attending the same university as him, to which Yu Tu revealed he knew from their old "Space Fans" chat group. She spoke of her teenage struggles with academics, realizing that not everything could be changed by effort alone. Yu Tu, with unwavering patience, offered to teach her, confidently stating he would succeed because he was smart, prompting Jingjing to playfully tell him not to be so narcissistic.
Standing outside their old classroom, Yu Tu gently lowered his head and kissed Jingjing. They had reconciled and were finally together. As they embraced their future, Jingjing teased him that she might bring up old stories later on, to which Yu Tu replied that he looked forward to it.
