Qiao Jingjing asked Yu Tu if he had added any of their high school classmates on WeChat, as she wanted to take a look at their Moments. Checking each other’s Moments is an act usually reserved for close relationships, yet Yu Tu agreed without hesitation. After all, Moments are meant for friends, and Jingjing is their high school classmate, so she can look directly. With Yu Tu’s permission, Jingjing felt sweet inside.

After Yu Tu helped her win a game, she planned to use his phone to help him win a match in return. While they were gaming, Pei Pei called, saying that a brand had sent a birthday gift to Jingjing. Pei Pei originally wanted to have the driver bring it up, but Jingjing suddenly wanted Yu Tu to help carry it.

She thought it was a gift from the brand, but when Yu Tu carried three large boxes upstairs, Pei Pei blurted out that they were clothes, shoes, and bags Jingjing had bought herself. Jingjing didn’t want Yu Tu to see her extravagant side, but Pei Pei, being an unhelpful teammate, kept talking about how messy and overloaded Jingjing’s wardrobe was. Yu Tu just smiled gently, without thinking anything bad about Jingjing, making her feel overjoyed.

Time passed, and Yu Tu was still at the hospital taking care of Guan Zai. He told Jingjing not to prepare dinner for him from tomorrow onwards. He’d coordinate with Guan Zai later during her match and try to free up time to go watch her compete. When Yu Tu arrived at the hospital, Guan Zai was talking to Shen Jing about Yu Tu’s girlfriend.

Shen Jing had once wanted to introduce someone to Yu Tu, but hearing from Guan Zai that Yu Tu already had a girlfriend, she asked to see a photo. Yu Tu couldn’t produce one, so Shen Jing pretended to be upset and left the room without engaging further. Outside, Yu Tu walked Shen Jing out, and she apologized, saying she had just been joking to help Guan Zai relax. She wouldn’t introduce her junior to Yu Tu anyway.

Both Yu Tu and Guan Zai are workaholics, completely absorbed in their jobs, and she didn’t want her junior to suffer as she had. Because of taking care of Guan Zai, Yu Tu had to decline his senior’s job offer. Back in the hospital room, Guan Zai was getting things in order for work. Though he remained optimistic, he still considered the worst-case scenario. In the middle of the night, Guan Zai started vomiting uncontrollably.

After an examination, the doctor confirmed it was cancer and recommended urgent surgery. Still unconscious, Guan Zai remained in bed. Shen Jing told Yu Tu to let Mr. and Mrs. Hu—close friends of Guan Zai—go home first. They lamented Guan Zai’s condition and hoped for his quick recovery. They also told Yu Tu not to tell Professor Zhang yet.

Both he and Guan Zai were Professor Zhang’s proudest students, and they feared the professor wouldn’t be able to take the news. Yu Tu agreed. At the same time, he came to a decision—he applied to extend his leave by one more week. When he was saving the J-X satellite in Xi’an, he realized he belonged at the aerospace institute. Investment banking had never been his dream.

He not only wanted to spend more time taking care of Guan Zai but also had unfinished personal matters to resolve. Yu Tu and Jingjing watched an esports match at home. Yu Tu fell asleep from exhaustion halfway through, so Jingjing lowered the volume and quietly observed his sleeping face, planning to secretly take a picture. But she moved too much and fell on top of Yu Tu, waking him up.

He mistakenly thought she wanted oranges, so he got her two and asked about the match result. Before the match, they made a bet—whoever lost would agree to the other’s request. Yu Tu won and asked Jingjing to tell him what birthday gift she wanted. Jingjing had never experienced a “Pentakill” in her gaming life, so she asked Yu Tu to give her one using his own playstyle.

Yu Tu then recommended a teammate for the upcoming match based on his experience, suggesting that Jingjing choose Zhou Yin from Team Tiangong. The month passed quickly, and Jingjing’s entertainment match was about to begin. She gave Yu Tu two tickets, asking him to bring Di Liang to watch her match. She wanted Di Liang to see that the most beautiful girl on stage had been their teammate all along.
